So apparently Zawe's sister followed Tom on Instagram and Zawe followed Tom's sister in law (by which I mean one of his brother in law's sisters) according to one of Zawe's fan blogs. I haven't seen evidence of those two things myself but I believe it. I know one of Tom's brother in law's sisters and she hasn't followed 'that' one but maybe there are others.
So That means, if he has a Sister in law he must have a brother. As far as I know he has two sisters
Zawe's sister?? I HAD to look at Zawe's followings and I couldn't find any Victoria, (her sister in law's name) nor I was able to find his brother's handle anymore.
Maybe her SiL has a handle that has nothing to do with her name or I wasn't thorough enough?

As I explained in my original post, by sister in law the blog meant his brother in law’s sister

Your brother in laws sister isnt your sister in law! Sisters in laws are people married to your brother/sister or your husband/wifes sister! Your brother in laws sister is just your brother in laws sister!

Oh, so the information came from Tumblr then... I tend not to pay much attention to that site to begin with. There are good people there but it's also a well know place for stans pushing headcanons that I'm not always in agreement with.
I know, I found the wording of that blog post very confusing and then when she was asked for clarification, she didn't give any.
I agree but this blog is reliable. Zawe's sister's name is Amy Ashton and I don't want to publicly state Tom's brother in law's siblings because they're private individuals. I actually haven't seen any evidence of Zawe following them. I also can't find her sister's Instagram so I don't know if that blog is making things up or just one hell of a private investigator.

I just told you what she meant- which I figured out quite easily. It is his brother-in-law’s sister. Whose name she is not going to give out so she doesn’t get hate from the usual suspects. Same as with her sister, who followed Tom.

Even despite the 'ohh, so cute' family connections and following each other on Instagram and their families getting on well and 'approving' of each other, I just don't think this is going to last. I know nothing about their relationship but I just feel like she cares way too much about him and he's not as into her and that always leads to disaster. It's even worse when it's been dragged along for a few years and I'm sure the pandemic and living in Atlanta together made for a lot of emotional confusion, unless they're some sort of magical, perfect couple who adore each other and just want to be super private and have big family dinners where everyone gets along.
