Thanks for such a quick reply! Appreciate it. You've definitely put my mind at rest a little! My list was pages long - calpol etc. Typical worried FTM here! 😂 My husband was saying I was being ridiculous... and I think he's right now!

Suncream just incase the sun makes a rare appearance, and then I'd go for a cooler outfit incase its warm and a warmer one incase it ends up being a cold day & a waterproof jacket. You know what the weathers like and you end up being caught short. Comfortable shoes too, it can get quite busy sometimes in Cbeebies land so there's a bit if standing around in ques.

Thank you all! Appreciate the replies.

I'm looking forward to taking him! Is it decent for his age?

Has he been on rides before? Even the ones you put the £1 in?
My second absolutely hated them 😂😂
Only now, at 4, will she go on the £1 rides.
And during the summer we took her on a few little kids rides.
Before that, she hated them and would scream 😂

My first, we didn't take until he was around 2 to a funfair. But he absolutely loved it!

I've never known a kid to be like it like my second though 😂

My little boy is very boisterous! Loves getting flown around in the air and my husband is constantly pretending 'he's on the rides' and flying him around etc... he loves that.

We once put him on a postman pat £1 at a local soft play, where he had to sit inside the van, and he got bored and started trying to stand up/climb out of the window. So I'm not entirely sure what to expect haha!

It's a really good family day out.
Even better when they're older and tall enough to go on the big rides. I took my son when he was 7 & he's now an adrenaline junkie😂

Can't wait for them days! Although, I've got a feeling I'll be a bag holder whilst him and his dad go on the exciting rides!:cautious:

So just wondering, how much do you get out with your toddler. For instance- in my case it’s just myself & my daughter who is 2. She goes to nursery Monday&Tuesdays and Wednesday and Thursday she’s at home with me. I always feel like I have to be out and about with her, at toddler groups etc.. and she enjoys them. Fridays she goes to a family members as I work (to save nursery fees too).. atleast once a month we go to the zoo (annual pass). I split the weekend with her Dad, so on the day we might go to the park or on the swings, or go for a walk in the woods etc. She has lots of toys and plays with them too at home so she’s never really bored.

I try and have one morning where we chill and just do nothing.. I feel like I do too much with her though compared to other mums on my Facebook. I just feel guilty when we are inside not doing a great deal and she’s stuck in front of the tv. The reason for my post is I’ve just gotten over covid and we’ve been pretty much housebound and she’s not been as bored as I thought she would be 🤣🤣

How much do you do outside/groups with your toddler?
today me and my toddler have spent the morning baking, playing aswell as him playing by himself and drawing and it’s been a lovely chilled morning. I do find I feel mum guilt if we aren’t out everyday doing something/going to a class but I think today we both needed a nice slow relaxed morning

Recently planned a few overnight trips in the coming weeks... but I must admit I've got a bit of brain fog!!

One of the trips away is going to Alton Towers/Cbeebies Land with my 17mo. It's going to be out first 'big day out away from home' like this (thanks Covid).

What on earth do I pack during the day? Minds gone totally blank! and I'm worried incase I'm going to miss something and it's like 3 hours away from home.

We're going into the park 1 day, stay over that night and back to the park the next day. Have booked breakfast and tea (dinner for you southerners) out.
Please let me know how your little one enjoys it I’m hoping to travel down in September with my son who will be 2 and a half as he loves cbeebies. Enjoy your trip

Please let us know how it is. I’d love to go with my daughter she’s 2, so be in summer she will be 2 and a half. She’s 87cm so by then she will be tall enough for the rides with/without me I think 😂

For things to take:

Have you got anything blackout for the room? I take an old black out curtain when we stay anywhere as the curtains are usually rubbish (especially caravans), sun shade for the pram incase, snacks, anything for lunch, defo take calpol just incase but like others have said you can get stuff at local shop nearby.

Nappies/pull ups/spare pants/baby wipes/nappy bags/spare set of clothes/snack/juice/drinks.

Take calpol with you if you think you may need it, dress your little one in comfy clothes - leggings/joggers etc, tshirt/jumper - layers so you can add or take away depending on weather. Take a rain jacket or puddle suit & wellies if rain is anywhere forecast!!! And have a few back up dry pairs of trainers/boots in the car incase feet get wet (and spare socks too!)

Hi not posted on this thread before (Hi 👋) but i need some advice.
**TMI warning**
I have a 4 year old boy, who refuses to poo on the potty or the toilet. With wee's he is fantastic, takes himself off to do them, never any wet accidents hes perfectly fine with wee's, Poo's however he flat out refuses, to the point where he he will have a wee, pull his pants up and poo his pants, ive tried to catch him doing it and put him on the potty or toilet, this caused a major meltdown, im hesitant in doing this again in case it embeds a fear. im completley at my wits end and really worried he wont be clean for school in September, i dont want him to be bullied. Has anyone ever come across this problem, can anyone offer any advice please?

I haven’t been through it personally, but coming from someone who has worked with children, he isn’t the only one that I’ve heard of that will not poo on the potty and is great at going for wees
Have you tried potty training books?

Yes and tv shows, the peppa pig one where george is potty training, and cocomelon potty training, weve even suffered that awful steve and maggie show (put your botty on the potty and do a poo) none of them have helped. The frustating thing is when you ask him where do you poo? he says straight away, potty or toilet. So he knows where to do it, he just refuses. I fell like its never going to happen :(

Has he always been like it or was it a sudden change?

My daughter had a big issue with pooping on the potty.
Whenever she needed one, she's run around and she almost looked in pain because she was holding it in so much. Every time she looked like she needed to poop, we'd take her to the potty, sit her down and read a book or something and most of the time, she would end up going because she couldn't hold it in.
Sometimes we were there for 10 minutes or so.

On the other hand, my cousins little boy would constantly poop in his pants and refuse to go to the toilet because he had been a couple of times and had obviously been a bit constipated and it hurt him.
It took them years to actually find out the reason and it wasn't until he was 8 or 9 that they managed to sort it.
His school were fantastic though and he was never bullied as the teachers managed to watch him so well.

hes done approx three in the time ive been potty training, since just before he was 3, they were quite big and he did say they hurt his bottom, this is where the issues start, after that pain incident, i give him weetabix for breakfast most days and loves fruit, and a fig roll every couple of days as i was worried that he wasnt eating enough fibre and that keeps him regular, but he holds it in. I have taken him to sit, read a book, took the ipad, but id say 90% of those times hes got so upset i didnt want to push him too much incase he develops a major fear the other 10% he sits there and doesnt do anything.

From what I remember with reading online on a few mum groups boys are the worst with poo’ing. Can you do it so he can hide away? I’m sure I remember it’s just embarrassment behind it etc. A mum friend of mine bought a cheap teepee tent for her boy to poo in on the potty and it worked x

Can I just say, I’m 28 and I HATE having people around if I need a poo 😂😂😂 I just find it so awkward and urgh. But I’m old enough to know everyone does it x lol x
