The buggy is more of a high chair on wheels than anythijng, just somewhere to tether him while he eats. And a way of stopping him opening the door to the world while I'm having a wee in a public bathroom.
Not convinced that's a great reason to keep taking it out.

My 1yo learnt the word no over the weekend. Happy bleeping Monday. 😬😂
My near 1 year old now drops food off her highchair to the dog and then looks at you and signs no (she does baby sign). I have to try my hardest not to laugh at her 🫣

Mine had his second taster today at his new school. They said they are really proud of him. I was at work so his dad took him. They said for dad to leave him and see how he gets on. He let his 1:1 take him to the loo and he joined in with things. Only had to be picked up ten mins early. Bless him he did so well 🥹.

My two year old appears to have dropped all her naps now but she can’t actually cope without them and is in such an awful mood from about 1.30-bedtime every single day. I have tried everything and she’s just not having it 😭 send help and (alcohol free) wine 😭

The transition to no nap is a hard one. I would tend to get out and about in the mornings and then sneak a wee car nap in on them on the way home, sometimes they can’t fight the motion of the car. Or you can implement quiet time for her to give you both a quieter bit of down time?
ToddlerMe (almost 27 months) had his first no nap day today, and he was fine, but no thanks. The others all napped until past 3 so I expect the same 😂

What is with the no nap toddlers today. Must be something in the air. Mine (16 months poss too young for no naps) has been horrendous with sleep since the 4 month regression. He has been unwell so slept in later this morn and refused his noon nap, i imagine we’ll go back to 1 nap once he’s better but I really hope so as that hour of peace at least lunch time is bliss 🥲

Just a general and random moan, when my toddler is teething she suffers terribly from teething poos and gets really bad nappy rash. My husband took her into nursery this morning and informed them she’s got a bad bottom but failed to mention that it’s all due to teething so naturally they say her poos are too loose and she can’t come back to nursery for 48 hours thinking it’s a bug. I explained this over the phone to them but they insisted I pick her up. So there she is, full of beans and has actual eaten well (as she often does in nursery compared to
Home) - things she wouldn’t do if it was a bug.

Mine stopped napping months ago. She will be three in September. It can be a nightmare at times especially when I want some quiet time 😂
However, she will fall asleep in the car EVERY TIME.

She goes to nursery in the mornings but refuses to nap on the way home, at home or if I take her out in the pram etc slightly later! Just fights it and gets whinier and grumpier! Same in a weekend, we usually go out and about in the mornings and often will specifically drive to see family about 30-40 minutes away as that used to guarantee a nap, but no longer! Haha oh god that must be worst expecting him to nap for longer than he will based off the others! She’s always been so bad at napping at least my expectations were low 🤣

Car now only works if it’s a journey longer than an hour or she is so exhausted she can’t fight it any longer (usually at 4/5pm, which is then too late to nap!)

My kids have all stopped napping quite early.
This time around, she stopped napping at 18 months which is the latest time we've had for stopping naps. My 5yo stopped her naps the week she turned 1 🙃🤣

She struggled to start with and was trying to fall asleep at 4pm but no matter what we did, she wouldn't nap. (She's always got up between 4 and 5am 🙃)
Her bed time is 6pm is she's fully ready for it by then. It took her about a month of adjusting and then she was fine!

I was relieved when mine dropped naps, was only difficult in the afternoons for a couple of weeks and she slept much better at night so it’s not all bad.

She is determined to stay awake by all accounts! I would start popping her to bed a bit earlier to at least ease the amount of time she’s struggling with afternoon tiredness, at least until she transitions.

Nah, TMe still loves his nap, he usually has approx 1.5-2hrs every day and still conks out at 7pm. Yesterday was a summer fluke because we were out and busy all day - but only a short car journey from home. Luckily he isn’t in a bad mood when he’s tired, just a bit quicker to have a breakdown 🙈 but a wee booby keeps him quiet when that happens!

Toddler gravy's birthday on Monday....she will be 2. I'm really stuck for ideas. I was thinking either the wee ice cream cart or a play kitchen, does anyone have either and is one better than the other? Any other ideas welcome! Budgeting no more than £100

We have the leap frog ice cream cart. We got it for Christmas, and the twins absolutely love it its one of our most used toys.
They're two at the end of Aug and will be getting a wooden kitchen as they love the one at soft play and we can't drag them away from it.
The leapfrog one was on offer on amazon prime yesterday for around £35 usually 50. Could still be on today.

Eta still on sale https://amzn.to/3pIMC9k

Mine got a play kitchen for Christmas off a grandparent and he played with it for three days 🙈 then didn’t look at it again. I’ve heard good things about the ice cream cart. Mine doesn’t have 1 but friends do and their kids like them and played with them
Just depends what you think she’ll like best

That's what I'm worried about, she was like that with the playhouse we got her recently 🤣

My 5yo got the ice cream cart for her 2nd birthday and it still gets played with daily! The kids love it!

We do have a play kitchen and that doesn't get played with much at all tbh

Our kitchen just became a place to dump stuff so we got rid of it a few years ago. We still have some play food and pots and pans, just not the kitchen itself. Took up too much space and wasn’t used.

What about a balance bike? Ours would use them from around 2 (make sure you get a small enough one) and love it. Ours was only £25 and has been used by all the kids.
