Our kitchen just became a place to dump stuff so we got rid of it a few years ago. We still have some play food and pots and pans, just not the kitchen itself. Took up too much space and wasn’t used.

What about a balance bike? Ours would use them from around 2 (make sure you get a small enough one) and love it. Ours was only £25 and has been used by all the kids.
We did actually think of this but we're a bit worried she would be too wee so we're thinking that for Christmas, but might go to Halfords and have another wee look. She loves being outside so it probably is an ideal present for summer!

My 5yo got the ice cream cart for her 2nd birthday and it still gets played with daily! The kids love it!

We do have a play kitchen and that doesn't get played with much at all tbh

I think I'll just go for it since it's on sale and get some other things suggested as well!

ToddlerMe started with ours just a few days after his second birthday, and can ride it pretty well now! As long as you get a little enough one she should be great with it. Ours is a 10inch I think. It’s not sold anymore or I would link it for you. Even at that small size my 10, 7 and 4 year olds still ride it sometimes 🙈

Toddler gravy's birthday on Monday....she will be 2. I'm really stuck for ideas. I was thinking either the wee ice cream cart or a play kitchen, does anyone have either and is one better than the other? Any other ideas welcome! Budgeting no more than £100
I got a brand new ice cream leap frog cart off Marketplace for £10 with all the cards and ice creams! I refuse to buy it brand new for £50 🙃

She has a scuttlebug too that she loves, if you're not keen on a balance bike! 😊

*edited to add that the XL one is the best one. She's not overly tall but was verging on too tall for the normal ones, where as my 5 year old still uses hers occasionally. Well, her knees are up to her chin but still 🤣

Oh brilliant I'll maybe grab that actually! Thanks

That's what I'm worried about, she was like that with the playhouse we got her recently 🤣
Mine got the toy kitchen for Christmas when she was 18 months and wasn’t that keen on it then, but now she loves it! She takes out all the groceries and organises them and restocks it, training her up to do it in the main kitchen 😂 we got her the Lidl bouncy castle for her birthday which was a big hit, and she’s a huge fan of dolls too so any kind of baby with accessory that she can chat to is a good shout too! ETA I second a scuttlebug kids seem to love them!

We had a 4pm danger nap on the sofa when she zonked out while watching Bluey, I capped it at 40 minutes but my days she was literally a different child this evening thanks to that little snooze. Whyyyyy can’t she do that everyday haha

I know it’s a while off but what do you get a three and a half year old boy who has everything for Christmas?

Bit of context, he’s got an older sister so has everything he could want at his age as a lot got passed down

He’s got:

Scaletrix
Wooden kitchen
Balance bike
Dinosaur toys
Scooter
Electric ride on car
Kindle fire pad
Tonies
Vtech ice cream cart
Marble run
Blocks
Magnetic blocks
Vtech kiddizoom camera
Train/car/fire engine/ambulance/monster trucks

Etc etc. anything you can think of, he’s got.

I’m stuck 🫠

Could you get him something fairly small that he’d like as something to open on Christmas Day then spend the money on experiences etc the rest of the year? I don’t think they appreciate the value of things at that age, so will probably be as pleased with a toy dinosaur as a new bike, but also probably won’t grasp the delayed gratification of “future” presents eg trips to the zoo, so he’ll be happy he’s got nice toy/book etc to open and you’re happy you haven’t wasted money on more more expensive things he won’t necessarily play with?

A pedal bike if he is ready
Outdoor toys (climbing frame or similar)
Board games
Remote controlled car
Playmobil
Duplo/4+ lego
Books
Craft stuff/craft kits

I did think of tickets but then I’d end up taking his sister too so she lucks out, she’s easy to buy for!

Outdoor toys are a no, are garden is tiny. I did get him a den building kit on his birthday. He’s got Lego, but playmobil might be a good shout. I wish I’d had the foresight to put his sisters toys up and then wrap them as new 😂

My 3rd born was about that age last Christmas and I got her a huge big play dough set as her main gift- lots of pots and tools. It’s been well used by all 4 during the year.
Train tracks are well loved here by everyone.
Schleich animals too

A puppy/pet? 🤣

What’s his favourites out of the things you’ve listed above? Mine’s two this year so I’m always looking for inspiration!

How old is she? Could the same apply for her but she’ll understand the concept more?

No more living things in this house!!

He loves the magnet blocks/blocks and his trains and dinosaurs

Tonies he won’t listen to, biggest waste of money ever and he won’t sit in his ride on car (the two most expensive things)

I did think of a Spirograph junior, think he’d like that and maybe a vtech pirate ship (but £50 for plastic tat is a bit hard to swallow)

If he likes trains then lots of add ons to the track? We did that for a year or two with our eldest boy. Same with the magnetic blocks.
