It all depends how long you want to RF for to be honest.
If Toddler Rose is low percentile she could last in the 360 for a long time, and still be in it when baby has outgrown the infant carrier.
360 needs to forward face once you hit 18kg.
I wouldn't recommend a seatbelted harness till nearer 5 unless you can be absolutely sure she understood that she can't unclip herself or tuck the straps under her arm
I’m going to be honest, I know it’s recommended they rf as long as possible but she’s forward facing already as she’s so bad in the car she’ll scream and scream which is then distracting and makes me more likely to crash 🤦🏼‍♀️ I didn’t realise group 2/3 started at 15kg which she will be by the time the baby outgrows the baby car seat, I just didn’t want to have to buy another Joie if they overlapped and then buy another seat for the toddler months later, although I also didn’t realise group 1/2/3 was a thing which would solve that anyway. I’m not sure why my brain has struggled with this so much haha

Yeah, we went for the 2/3 as they were a bit cheaper than the 1/2/3 😊
We have a JoieTrilloo
Thank you!

It's not bad, you have to do what works for you as a family 😊.
Car seats are a minefield and the information between them all is really conflicting.

She may not be 15kg when baby is ready to move on. My almost 5yo isn’t yet 15kg and she isn’t that small in her peer group.
Our 2yo is in the 360 and my 4yo is in a joie stages, still 5 point harnessed. It lasts a bit longer, and can move to being seatbelted. My older kids then moved from it to HBB.

Could you just use one of the fold up mattresses you can get? We’ve got quite a large thick one for our travel cot.
I'd seen some z bed type things but they would be too bulky to transport. When I was younger we had an army surplus camp bed that we took when we stayed with family, literally fit in a cloth bag. Was hoping for something similar but a bit more comfortable and less likely to tip up for my fidgety little one 😂

This company is lovely and the quality beautiful. Iv been eyeing this up for a while as the reviews are really good.
They do tend to have lots of sales on quite frequently so you might get a discount. I think you get a discount for being a new member and you collect points as you shop too.
Hope this helps xx
That looks good, thank you!

How quick do they grow? Stupid question haha, she’s already 12.5kg (although that’s with my crappy scales so not 100% accurate) so I thought 15kg in 15-18 months time was realistic but maybe not? I think I’m overthinking it tbh just need to roll with it but I do like a good worry!

I don't think there's any way of telling what weight they'll be.
My 5yo hit the 18kg when she was 3. In October last year at 4 and a half she was almost 20kg. But now she's nearly 5 and a half and she's 19.4kg.

Where as my 2yo is currently only 10kg.
There's no way of telling 😂

It's variable child to child, you could look at a percentile chart for her age and see where the curve would take you too in 18months time but even then that's not 100% guaranteed because everything can fluctuate with their growth 😂
I'd say it was a case of weighing her every couple of months close to the time you're ready to switch baby Rose into the next size up seat?

Thanks all! I think I’m dealing with impending baby panic by trying to overplan everything else haha

We're due to visit family soon and have realised my toddler has outgrown his travel cot. Has anyone had much success with inflatable or fold up beds? Needs to be something that can be bundled in the back of the car and easily set up as we move from place to place.
I got this for my toddler to use at my in laws and she seems to love it https://www.argos.co.uk/product/7608182

On the subject of car seats, my Cybex 360 broke recently and my 3.5yo is 17kg so I bought a Joie Bold as it harnesses up to 25kg. I wouldn’t feel right using a seatbelt on her yet.

My toddler has been off food and sleeping for most of the day. Mondays are her daddy day, I was working from home today and when I finished sat on the sofa with her where she promptly threw up all over me 🙃

my 3.5 year old is 100cm and 18kg. She was a hugeeeee baby and is slowly losing her puppy large and her double chin has gone. It’s just the way she’s built. She’s been forward facing since she was 1 as she kept screaming going rear facing and tbh I don’t blame her, who likes to travel backwards 😂

I went to reply but then seen she is FF so this won't apply but maybe helpful to others. We have an Axkid Move for toddler army, she is currently RF in a cybex sirona and will go into the Axkid once baby army needs the cybex (she's currently in a cybex infant carrier) the Move is ERF until 25kg which we are hoping will be 7 years and then she can FF. My older two are both in seatbelted HBB and I wish I'd RF them longer than 3 years tbh. I'm hoping toddler and baby will swap when needed but will buy another Move if we have to.

I feel like we've had more car seats and prams than anything else! 🫣

Forgot to add that the move is seatbelted and tethered in so it doesn't need to be in an isofix seat. Needed for us as it's going to be in the middle seat.

Can anyone offer any advice on potty training? Think my wee one is ready but not sure how to start.
How old are they? Are their nappies dry? Are they showing interest in the potty?
Never ask if they need a wee, always say ‘it’s time to go for a wee’
I’ve been quite lucky with mine. My last one was naked all the time from about a year, so when it came to potty training he was easy 😊

He's 2 and a quarter! 😊 He is interested in his potty but I don't think he recognises when he needs a wee yet. He does when he needs a poo. I'm not sure if it's too soon, my OH is determined he is ready.

You can always place him on and see what he does. There’s no rush to do it. And if your OH thinks he’s ready, then he can potty train 😂
