Mine had a really unsettled night after her jabs and was a bit grizzly the next day. Even though they say nothing should really happen, they definitely seemed to affect her
Same for mine.the first ones when he was a baby he cried for hours after!! And I think each time he has been unsettled and a temp. I’m glad they’re over for a good few years now😂😂

Oh I know, same. When they told me she wouldn't have to have any more until high school, I was like Hallelujah :ROFLMAO:

Having major issues with potty training.
I can always rely on you guys for some support and wise words so here goes.

My son potty trained around his 2nd birthday (yes I know it’s early, but he was giving me the signs so I just went with it)
It took some time to get it right and not have accidents but he soon got the hang out & I felt confident he managing well! He was having one or two accidents a week max.
Fast forward to now.
He is wetting himself every single time he needs a wee. He tells me he’s wee’d and then finishes on the potty.
I try to explain to him he needs to do it on the potty but he just doesn’t listen. He talks over me and acts like he’s not interested.

l have taken him to the doctors Incase it was an infection but he’s been given the all clear & is on movicol to make sure he has regular poo’s.
I thought maybe because he has poo’s every 3rd day, and really struggles (I have to sit and hold his hand while he’s on the potty) it was constipation causing his wetting.
This morning he had a poo easily, no struggle, and he took himself to the potty. But then proceeded to do a wee on my bed.
(New duvet needed 😥)

I’m at my wits end, I just don’t know what else to do.
I thought I was winning at being a mum & now this has completely knocked my confidence!
I had a tit start to conception, birth & also I’ve really had a tough time adjusting to motherhood and this was the first thing I managed to help him with and he did so well.
I just want the best for him always and I don’t like knowing he’s wetting himself in front of everyone as I’m worried he’s getting embarrassed 😞
Please help!

Is it 3 years and 4 months they get their next jabs?
Can’t even remember. Something like that. You will get a letter you don’t need to make an appointment before they contact yiu

So I hardly ever take mine shopping. Only unless i have to. I usually get Asda delivered but I can’t really afford that anymore. Anyway I took him to Asda and Aldi this morning thought I’d get it out the way. Asda he was fine then Aldi he wouldn’t hold my hand wouldn’t push the trolley like he usually likes to do. So I put him in the bottom he wouldn’t sit he kept wanting to run off down the isles so I kept hold of his hand all the way round he was kicking off shouting and trying to sit down almost tripped me up at one point. And I could feel eyes on me but just kept my head down and chucked anything in my trolley ( I spent 40 quid barely got anything to make a meal 😂😂😂 ) then this woman came out when I was in the car park and said she thought I was amazing at handling it I’m doing an amazing job and people are too quick to stare and judge. Then I got in my car and cried 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Oh no my daughter has her pre school jabs this afternoon 😬 I originally had an appointment for a Monday at 9:30 which was perfect and then got cancelled due to staff sickness so she’s having them this afternoon instead. I’ve been to Lidl this morning and got her a bakery cookie as bribery 😂

My in laws are visiting and have taken her out for the morning so I’m enjoying a hot coffee and Ted Lasso. Needed after having to share her bed last night, it’s a double bed and yet the 3yo still has most of the space!

Oh bless you ❤ Please don’t be so hard on yourself. My little boy went through similar, he was potty trained about 2 and a half, took to it really well. Then about 6 months later he regressed out of nowhere and started wetting himself constantly. I took him to the doctors too but he had no infections and if I asked him where he was to do his business he would say, “in the toilet”, so he knew what he was supposed to be doing. There was no rhyme or reason to it but apparently potty training regressions are common.

I just took it right back to basics, taking him to the toilet and sitting him on it every half hour. And LOADS of positive praise if he went on the toilet, proper jumping up and down and clapping 🙈😂 It took a good few weeks and perseverance but in the end he went back to toileting normally. I’m sure it’s just a wee blip for your little one too.

Regressions are really normal for potty trained kids. Has anything changed recently for him? Is he drinking a lot more in the warmer weather?
You’ve done the right thing taking him to be checked out, that was my first thought too.
I recommend the book oh crap potty training to everyone, it has a section on regressions in it (I’ve never read it though so can’t say much really!)

If it were me I would go back to basics, as though you’re starting again. Keeping a close eye, when he starts to wee moving him straight to the potty/toilet and reminding him this is where wee and poo goes. Keeping things calm and not worrying because this will end.

This says nothing at all about your parenting. You are doing everything right, we have no control over someone else’s bladder and how and when they choose to use it. Your responsibility here is what you’re already doing - seeking out a potential cause, asking for help.

Yes, 3y 4 months for their preschool injections.

Thank you for your reply.
Yeah I seriously hope it’s just a blip too, I don’t think going back to nappies is a good idea as I don’t wanna confuse him 😥

he’s wee’d twice today on my sofa, both times he didn’t tell me he needed to go.
This has been going on for a good month now, how long do regressions last do you know?

Yeah good advice, I’m gonna take it back to basics. I’ve been setting an alarm on my phone this afternoon for every hour and told him when the alarm goes off we need to try and sit on the potty Incase we need a wee. He was fine.
but the minute I turned my back to cook tea he wee’d twice on the sofa 🫤

I tried to be as cool as a cucumber about it.m I just cleaned it up and told him if he needs a wee again to use the potty.
I just hope I haven’t done it too early & he’s now rebelling cause he doesn’t like it anymore!

How old is he? My 3yo has been out of nappies for about a year, and still has accidents from time to time

How many times at bedtime does your toddler say they want a drink. I’ve just started bedtime. Im gonna count and report back 🥲

I think side effects might hit her over the weekend ?? She’s been fine at nursery today and was ok I guess yesterday! Nursery told me she might not even get any..😂

Me and mine have caught a cold from play group the other day. We’re both snotty and sneezing loads. 😣😣😣
There was this girl with a snotty nose and her mum kept wiping her nose. We haven’t been unwell for AGES.

urghhhhh I hate it when other kids around are so snotty. At the park on Wednesday this kid had a snotty nose and conjunctivitis and you could clearly see it, his mum didn’t even bother wiping his face🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮 it was disgusting!

Mini A still isn’t unwell from her jabs…. I’m not wishing she is or anything but maybe the side effects are delayed?! I wanted her to get them over the weekend if she was going to be unwell, but knowing my luck she will get them when I’m at work next week.. or she could be fine 😂

My kids have never had side affects apart from a sore arm

Not all kids get side effects and I wouldn’t expect it to be next week. It will be today or tomorrow if any!!
