What temperatures do you it sun cream on your kids. I’ve been putting it on mine this week and it’s been 14 during the day. But I feel I am going out of my mind worrying he’ll get skin cancer when he’s older. My other half gets him ready and takes him to nursery as I leave for work at 640 and I keep telling him make sure you put sun cream on and I bet he’s sick of me but if he forgets I just start over thinking. 🥺

I always just do it when it’s sunny really. Here’s been about 15 during the day and i put it on him. When i check the temp and weather on my iphone weather app there’s a little bit that says use sunscreen during these times of day, so i just do it when it says lol

When I asked him the other day if he did he was like oh I forgot. Maybe if I drill into him enough he’ll remember when it’s really summer 🤣🤣🤣

I don’t put it on mini A unless it’s a warm day where she’s in shorts and a short sleeved top but that’s literally been once this year. Nursery go off the uV index and they put suncream on them with the slightest bit of sun which is good. On holiday it’s been factor 50 every 45 mins as it’s been roasting.. she’s got an all in one on daily and her hands and feet are tanned, unless I keep her inside she’s gunna get abit of colour to her. Myself on the other hand…… 😂 I forget to put suncream on and use sunbeds so I can’t say much if I get skin cancer

I don’t think our nursery puts it on them cos when it’s summer they always send emails to put it on before bringing them in. My friend said they can still tan with sun cream on it’s just burning is bad for them

I don’t really go by temperature as you can still get burnt on days which feel cool, or cloudy. At this time of year their faces get a slick every morning before school. If it is going to be a really sunny day, so likely they’ll have jumpers off, i do their arms (and boys’ necks) as well. And they wear a hat.

Are her nappies still wet when she wakes?
Yeah her pull ups are soaking when she wakes up. In the day she’s perfect though. I know it comes in time, and she keeps saying she knows when she’s bigger she’ll go to the toilet in the night (she hears me going in the night 🤣)

Hats off to anyone who co shares or sleeps in the same bed as their child. I’ve shared a room with mini A for 10 nights on holiday and I’d say 5 nights have been awful. She wakes up in the night randomly, then wakes me up.. we’ve got two double beds in the room but it’s awful. I’ve also forgot her other bear she sleeps with and it’s been “I want yellow bear” in the middle of the night, or “I want ice cream”…..then when I tell her it’s bedtime and to go to sleep she screams and cries, wakes everyone around us up! 🥴 we are home tomorrow and I can’t wait to sleep in my own bed!

Some nights have been lovely where she’s held my hand in the night and woke me up by kissing my face, but overall it’s not for me🤣

We moved our little girl into a bed fairly early and she’s much happier now that she ever was in a cot but it means if she wakes in the night she comes running in and gets in with us. For about 5 minutes it’s lovely, very sweet and affectionate, then she falls back to sleep and starts kicking/wriggling/causing chaos. One night last week she kept trying to push me off the bed shouting “no mummy” so I just sort of ended up sleeping at the bottom of the bed like a dog 😂😂 no idea why I didn’t put her back in her bed or stand my ground, think I was so exhausted I didn’t even realise until I woke up haha

Has anyone changed their toddler’s preschool? My 3 year old won’t go to school until next September so she’ll have a full year at preschool. I might be able to move her to a forest school which she’d love. She’s only been attending her current one since September and only 15 hours from January. She’s not fully settled in and doesn’t love it but I’m nervous of starting over with her and then again next year for school.

Does the school she’s starting have a nursery? I am changing 3yo come September so he will be in school nursery doing 30hrs. Same school his brother goes to. I’m really sad I made this decision though, because he loves it and the staff are so lovely!

No it doesn’t but we are hoping to buy a house by this time next year so she might not be going to the one near us anyway. I could keep her where she is and hope in sept when she changes room to the one with free flow to the garden and does two full days and one afternoon she might settle in better. The three afternoons we do now are so draining.

Mines fast asleep in his own bed since he was 10 months. Wish us luck!!! I will no doubt end up in there at some point but hoping he has a good sleep. Currently snoring away under his new dinosaur quilt 🦕
done all his room up nice for him and he loves it. Just hope he gets decent nights sleep In there 🥹

Funny is one word for it 🤣 Is it his first night in his new room? I’d risk it or he’ll expect you to sleep in there from now on. No judgement it’s what I did when she moved out of our room. Now she’s back in our bed as I moved back in with the baby and her dad is in hers 🤣

Yep it is. He’s been in our bed for years 😩🤣 I’ll see how he goes until I go to bed and then decide. I haven’t heard a peep out of him since he went asleep

My 4yo daughter woke up and chose violence today. She’s normally amazing and I was anticipating her struggling with the arrival of her baby brother but she lured me into a false sense of security by being the kindest, sweetest kid until today. I haven’t been able to say a single thing to her without her shouting/disagreeing/crying and just generally being mean.
Not looking for advice really, I know she’s only four and all this is expected because she’s had a massive upheaval to her life. I also know I’m being hormonal and therefore not thinking rationally. Just needed to vent
