We've always been lucky with sickness. But in the time she started school in September, we've been ill more than not and have probably had more in this space of time than in my 4yos whole life!

It's crazy how many germs get passed around in school/nursery!

We have my 9yo in school and whilst it was just him at school, we hardly got anything!

It’s my sons last two days in nursery tomorrow and Friday and he’s had last week off and Monday, and i’m proper in two minds about sending him in. it’s the first time in ages that he’s been like 98% well. i’d just rather him not got sick again 😭 is that selfish of me!? i just don’t want him to get poorly again cos he’s been proper poorly the last 2 weeks and just want him to have a break from it

No I don’t think it’s selfish. The long break might do him good. Mines gonna be off for three weeks now

Does anyone else toddler just not go to bed at night? Little one is 2.5, no matter how long or little they sleep even just 10 minutes they will not go to bed. They just scream the house down as soon as you try. I do not know how to get them to go to bed, they used to be so good would literally lie down and go straight to sleep but the last few weeks they just won’t sleep at all. Usually around 9-10pm before they go to sleep

Mine is 20 months and doesn’t go to sleep until 9. Any earlier and he was before 7. So that’s a no lol
He’s never just laid down in his cot and slept. Hates the thing, so we co sleep. He will lie down and sleep in my bed , with lights off etc. Tried toddler bed etc etc. what’s he really wants a proper single divan bed but is too young yet.
He also wakes multiple times a night to drink water from a bottle. Which so exhausting and don’t know how to stop that habit.
All you can do is set up a good bedtime routine- bath, book , bed etc. They will understand and get there. Be consistent with times even if it is 9pm. You could try pushing bedtime back 5 mins every two days. Once routines established.
Where is lo sleeping at the moment?

We have been discharged and are home 🥰 🥰

With horrid antibiotics we have to pin her down and force feed her 4 times a day but still! We are home.

Just thought I'd say that he's not too young for a single bed 😊
I have a couple of friends who have never used a cot and put them straight into a bed.
My oldest went into a bed at 22 months and my second at 2 years 😊

Is a bed guard enough to keep them from rolling out at this age?

Are they still having a nap in the day?

My oldest went straight to a floor bed in her bedroom at 9 months old 🤷‍♀️ she needed the space, was constantly waking up from hitting the sides of the crib. Best decision ever, the transition was super smooth (not sure she even noticed it tbh 😂), has never rolled out and sleeps very well in there ever since ✅ We have it against the wall and have a guard just in case. It’s also a double bed so we can always just go and lay with her if needed. When I was still breastfeeding I’d just walk over there (we have a tiny flat), slightly inconvenient but better than having her wake up every 20 minutes from hitting her head/ arm/ back etc 🙄

Does anyone else have their heating on all night? Mines on from 5pm to 6am the next morning and my gas bill (inc standing charge) is £80! I try and keep it off during the day even when I’m in the house with mini A but it’s just been so cold at the moment 😫

We had ours on all day 5am-5pm,but turned off at night from middle of November to middle of December and our gas was £170 😩
We've even had it on during the night at the minute because it's so cold.
I've had to just accept the account is in debit and going to attempt to pay it all back before next winter. 😩

Nooo all night are you crazy 🤣🤣. Ours is on a timer. Comes on 6am… 12pm (if we’re in and cold) , 4pm & 8pm & then I think 1am ( if it’s extra cold) all each for a hour. Our house is small and it seems to keep the heat quite well I turned it off the other night cos I woke up warm . We sleep with winter quilt and then blanket on top if we’re cold. Just can’t afford it on all night !! 😢 it’s meant to be warmer tho this week. It’s been 13 today at ours!!
