I try and do a 3 part snack taking something from the different food groups

So eg apple, cheese and crackers
Peanut butter on rice cake, banana
Veg sticks, hummus, yoghurt
Toast w/ peanut butter, grapes

They always have a fruit or veg in there, and I try and mix up what they are having throughout the week.
I do similar. Always make sure there is fruit in there. Thanks I’ll try some of those

So this weekend me & A are going to Chester Zoo.. I’ve always been OTT about naptime.. like I’m over the top with making sure she gets a nap of some sort. It’s only an 50 min / an hour at the moment which is ok. There’s no way I’m going to even attempt her to have a nap in the heat outside this weekend but those toddlers that have consistent naps, are they ok the odd time they don’t nap for 1 day of that week? Her missing a nap, well, it fills me with anxiety 😂 I don’t know why. Last time she didn’t nap we went to CBeebies world and she was completely fine, she was exhausted on the way home but so was I 😂 just hate the thought I’m depriving her of an hours nap LOL

yeah the odd day that my son doesn’t nap he is completely fine. She’ll probs be so occupied with what’s going on at the zoo she won’t even notice if she’s tired or not! Have fun! Be prepared for her to fall asleep on the way home though nice and early though! I love Chester zoo! We’re from Liverpool it’s a good day out for us

Am I right saying she’s around 2.5? I think at that age it’s quite normal for them to skip every now and again, but as said above just be aware She may fall asleep in the car and end up in bed much later than normal because of that!

We went to CBeebies a few weeks back and she powered through till we got home. I was so surprised 😂 she even wanted a bath when she got home.. sucker for her routine lol

Thankfully we are only an hour away from Chester so not as bad as Alton!

Totally get the nap thing - we were quite regimented with it because our son just wasn’t himself if he didn’t get his nap! For reference he is 3 in October and rarely naps now. Never naps at nursery (three full days a week). Yesterday we went to the trampoline park and he was knackered after that and needed one (as did I!) I am sure missing one will be totally fine and like other posters have said she will be too amazed at everything! Have a fab time

Omg so I moved my 2.5 year olds bed time to 8pm and he’s been going to sleep well easier and today he woke up at 10 PAST 7. He hasn’t done that in months!! Now I’ve bragged about it I’ll probs jinx it and he’ll be bouncing off the walls 5am tomorrow 😂

Making up for the fact that my toddler used my 38 week pregnant self as a pillow last night he slept till 8am! Normally I’d be bummed cause he won’t nap today but todays a childcare day so win win win!

can I ask how you found CBeebies world? Was it worth it? We’re a 2 hour drive away and really want to take my duggee obsessed boy within the next couple of weeks whilst the weather is still nice, but every time I’m reminded my husband and I have to buy a full £42 ticket each I’m filled with rage 😂 he’s only two so will be free thankfully but don’t want to do the drive and spend the money plus food etc for the day if it’s a load of rit!

I also would like to know haha

Mine has been a mess for two days, hours of crying. My head hurts 🥴
What’s up with them. 🥺🥺🥺

My son had a 45 minute nap at nursery today after his dad said he might need one as he was awake at 5:45am. It’s totally thrown him off as bedtime was a total disaster and that’s him just asleep!

@strawberrysunshine_x oh god late one for you! I’m not sure, I’ve had appts for my pregnancy and a driving lesson this week so far so she’s been away from home for a few hours each day. When she was at my MILs she was out in the garden for 3 hours and drank a tiny bit of water. I think she had a bit of heat stroke? Today she went to her step nan’s but she stayed longer than usual and was an afternoon appt rather than a morning one so think she was just knackered. Her dads been working late too so it’s all just been a bit of a tit show 🤣

I wish I could do a voice note 😂

It was worth the £48 I spent, it’s just me and A though.

They do a 1 adult and 1 toddler none school hols for £25. You could just go on a day trip you & 2 year old on a weekday. It’s 2 hours from us too. Honestly A is OBSESSED, she keeps wanting to watch the walk through on YouTube. Highly recommend it xx

My son was up until 9:30pm last night!
This evening he was asleep by 6:30pm - but he didn’t have a nap. I’ve found the only thing that gets him off to sleep at a decent time is having no nap, which makes for a long old afternoon. 😅

I’m excited to go back - I’m taking her in September again on the £25 deal xx

Also!!!!! We went to the beach all day today and A didn’t nap, I didn’t even mention naptime. She was fine, didn’t fall asleep in the car on the way home and was flat out by 8pm again! Not one tantrum all day… she still loves a nap but at what point would you cut it out?

Sometimes she says no to a nap at home but it’s cos she wants to watch tv still etc but soon as her head hits the pillow she’s asleep😂 so I think she does need one still but life would be easier if she didn’t nap lol
