although i was aware that it was pinterest, i swear i have only ever heard people refer to it as "pintrest" - just because pinterest is so awkward to say! plus so many people pronounce the word "interest" more like "intrest" anyway!

That’s why i thought it was pintrest cos it’s not ‘pin-ter-est’ but then again i say ‘in-trest’ omg confusing

That's why I think it makes sense it's Pinterest! As you say, people don't pronounce interest as int-e-rest
