Suranne Jones' real name is Sarah Anne. It always got merged into one when people said it so she just stuck with it.

similarly, Suella Braverman is actually called Sue-Ellen Braverman, named after a character from Dallas. according to her, she is known as Suella because the teachers at her primary school "didn't like" the hyphen in her name (?!) thus decided to write "Suella" on her coat hook, and it just stuck. 🤷🏻‍♂️

The cost of Mother of the bride/groom dresses 😱
Go to a dress shop you like. Take the wording wedding away and suddenly the price drops! I’ve been married 14 years and when we booked ours we wanted a band. A band for a wedding was £2k. A band was £1k! The word wedding makes people greedy!

I'm taking my daughter with me. She's a seamstress so ... Anyway, I might see if Mr Happy will treat me. 😅

Years ago you could experience this at the science museum
Omg I remember this, set up like a Japanese supermarket iirc? I remember going at about 14 on a school trip and we spent most of the time just sitting there 😅

🤭🤭🤭...... someone told me what that really meant when I was 27 years old... Same as you I thought it was a jolly children's rhyme. How naive 😁🤦‍♀️
OT but isn't it amazing when you think about it how, before the internet, things like this still spread around? Like presumably we all grew up in different places but everyone heard this rhyme as a child, I lived in Australia for a time during primary school and it was also a thing there

Did you think Mr Fein was a person or a company called Sinn Fein?
Thought it was a person because it was always read on the news as, “Sinn Fein, Paddy Ashdown, Tony Blair” etc. I never questioned it until I saw it on Reddit earlier. Turns out, I’m not the only one.

That Gary Mavers used to come in my local for a drink with his mate Mark Moraghan who was in Brooky, caused quite a stir as they were both hotties back in the 90s!!
Blimey, I posted this a few weeks back, not seen him in anything for years then Gary Mavers pops up in Vera last night 😳

If you microwave porridge, putting a wooden spoon over the bowl will prevent the contents from bubbling over. ✅
