I’m just not sure what someone commenting on how mixed her message was at times (how hard life is financially, being in debt etc and then parading very expensive shoes around) constitutes a reason to bring race into it? I know I come at this from a position of possibly blinkered white privilege, but I honestly don’t understand. It’s like you can’t have an opinion on her content without her saying she’s being silenced because she’s a black woman. Similar to how Cash used to say any criticism was because she’s working class? Just hopping back on this thread under my sisters details to say a huge thankyou (@Everly @Sweettutu @Ladyhearmetonight amongst others) for reporting me to the moderators yesterday. You proved my point so much better than I could myself.
I was pretty sure you lot could dish it out but not take it - but I must say you really proved me right very quickly (within an hour of my first post. Wow!)

I joined as @AlbaL and dared to question your “opinions”.
Obviously you thought I was one of the “instamums” in disguise ? (because of course no-one else could possibly disagree with you right?!)*

And rather than face than face the “criticism” (as you suggest these “instamums” should) your “fragile little egos” reported me and had me banned.

What’s the matter? Can’t take a little criticism? Well then you shouldn’t post your opinions online - right???
You all “fawn” over each other but as soon as someone dares to question your posts you gag them? Brilliant. I couldn’t have written it better myself.

This is a seriously worrying thread - why are there so many (by the sounds of it predominantly) women who are so threatened by other women on Instagram? Some people have money, others don’t have so much. Some choose to dress their kids in dungarees, others in dresses. Some earn their money nursing, others earn it promoting things online. What’s the big deal? Why so intimidated/ threatened?

We’re not threatened, we have opinions on these people who put themselves and their families out there on social media. Instagrammers get thousands of gushing comments from minions fawning over them but can’t deal with some negative ones posted on a forum. Pathetic.

I agree. I’m not bothered if they advertise so long as they’re transparent but it really winds me up when they trot this out. Everyone that uses IG is ‘creating content’ one way or another. Why do they think their photos are so special that we should be grateful that we get to see them especially when they’re trying to flog us something? (Clue: they’re not). One blogger, when she was spouting the same old shite, said it’s not just about taking the photo, they have to go out of the house, go to the event, take the photos, then think of the caption. Someone who does a 12 hour shift in factory or a hospital has nothing on these guys
