It's total MLM speech now. Normally the start of some spiel the upline has told them to post, desperately trying to cling onto their dwindling list of friends because none of us want your snake oil!!This actually makes me want to vomit, it’s usually paired with “hun” or “lovelies”. People that tell us all how many meals a 2lb reduced chicken makes.
I always think that about announcing deaths. There are people who would be quite high up on a list of 'need to be told over the phone' but are very low down on the families list of who to call. Eg his teacher, his best friend etc. It must be so sad for a teacher of a little kid to find out on Facebook that he's died, and in such a horrible way.I live relatively near where the little boy died after being struck by lightning. His death wasn't announced by police until late that evening.
Soo many people posting on local fb groups saying he had died before it was announced. What is wrong with people! Imagine doing that in real life not on social media. It's not your place to announce someone else's death
And the fundraisers on the back of it... they are more to do with the organisers than the beneficiaries urgh
I hate this, some people just want to be the ‘first with the gossip’ and don’t care if the ‘gossip’ involves a poor child. Just so distasteful.I live relatively near where the little boy died after being struck by lightning. His death wasn't announced by police until late that evening.

I noticed this too. We are not local, but on the evening it happened, one of my friends posted condolences to "the little boy who died at football training tonight". I immediately thought it was one of the children who used to attend football training with mine and her kids. The news hadn't been broken yet, and her info was so vague you could only surmise that it had happened at her son's class. Really unnecessary and led to a lot of the usual "what's happened hun?" comments.I live relatively near where the little boy died after being struck by lightning. Yup! This. When my brother died several years ago, it was literally only 5 minutes after the police had left our house after sharing the news with my parents that we started receiving texts saying “sorry for your loss”. Even now, years on, we’ve never figured out how the news spread so fast.I hate this, some people just want to be the ‘first with the gossip’ and don’t care if the ‘gossip’ involves a poor child. I swear no one communicates with each other by actually speaking to each other anymore it’s all got to be done via the medium of Facebook.A woman posted on one of the local Facebook groups this week “just wanted to say thank you so much to the two girls from (school name) who bought me a card and flowers today. Thank you it means so much to me.” Someone replied asking what happened and she said “that’s between me and the girls, no one else.”
Why put it on a Facebook group then

I seem to recall either Daniella Westbrook or Katie Price claiming a few years ago that they thought they had cancer on their fingerThere is a story in the papers about a "female celebrity" who has a lump on her finger and instead of seeing a Doctor she has
asked her "fans" using social media. This woman has had a previous medical issue before.
I hate it when they do that, attention seeking!
