Why did Disney allow anyone to make new hotel reservations after Sunday just to go in and film? At this point, it shouldn’t be called Disney World anymore, it should be called Vloggers’ World because they act like they own the place anyway. There’s no surprise element to a Disney vacation anymore- everything is plastered all over YouTube.

Disney should take note of the vloggers who were cashing in on this devastating event. Why would they want people like this at their media events? It’s not good advertising.

I’m happily planning my holiday to Tokyo Disney- I know my experience won’t be ruined by vloggers. I’ve been taking a break from Disney World for the last 15 months- they seem to have allowed the vloggers to take over everything. You can’t even catch a break in your hotel because the vloggers are always prancing around the lobbies. Why should I use my DVC points or pay thousands to stay in a Disney hotel when these dregs can get in for free?

And Disney keeps encouraging them with their media events.

I am FLOORED by the fucking assholes vloggers who checked into hotels. I’m sorry….WHAT. We had HHN booked for Wednesday through Friday. When the news started to imply that either Tampa or SWFL would be a direct hit we cancelled our room reservation to free up at least one room for people who truly needed to evacuate.
The only way I would condone someone in Orlando checking into a hotel would be if they or someone in their household had medical issues that required power.

I still can’t get over Adam the Woo having his father drive him home from the airport, then leaving them and checking into a hotel. I’d be annoyed if i were their neighbors and had to clean up after the storm while their able bodied son was dancing in the rain.

All these lowlife scum vloggers seeing the destruction in their home state and they’ll all be slithering back to the theme parks and stuffing their faces, not a care in the world.

As long as they’re alright, they couldn’t care less about anyone else. They’re lucky their lives and homes have been spared, but their answer to that is to shrug it off and go back to their crude gluttony. No compassion for anyone else. Maybe they should all stay home, watch the news and figure out how they can help. And I don’t mean by encouraging their Stans to donate their money in the names of the vloggers.

The Trackers didn't get to stay on Disney property because as always, they are shitty planners and late to the party. Disney moved quick to stop new reservations early in the week for any of the late coming lookie-loos. All the other vloggers booked last weekend in the "hopes" (gross) of storm content. So any of the suffering they complain about in the coming vlogs will be because of their own lack of hurricane prep -- which was basically to do a hastily put together half-assed vlog to get some clicks.

Wait, so based on that, then Woo always intended to be at the Contemporary during all of this? And it wasn't just some last-minute decision not to stay w/ his "friend"? (even though he has a perfectly fine residence 10 mins. away in Celebration?)

Southern California here so we always have bottled water, extra food, batteries, flashlights, etc. in case of earthquakes. We also keep a separate set of stuff in case we need to evacuate due to wildfires. Not to make light of the hurricane, but it must be nice to have the advance warning to prepare.

Northern CA here, but also always have water, canned goods, manual can opener just for the go-bag, first aid kit, radio, and flashlights that are charged for earthquakes, PG&E blackouts and wildfires. My cats even have their own official earthquake kit.

I forgot I never actually bothered finishing watching the live, but finally sat down for a breather after getting groceries, getting my booster and flu shot, helping trim some goats' hooves (I'm not kidding), getting the dishwasher running, vacuuming everything and starting a load of laundry, I tried to continue from where I stopped. Eh that's a bit extreme to be honest.

There are people in the greater Orlando area who might have wanted the security of being on Disney property knowing they are on their power grid, and what not.

While there are maybe a handful of vloggers trying to monetize a natural disaster, there are thousands who would gladly want to stay in a Disney hotel to ride out the storm, even if they are "local"

No disrespect intended, but there's also a bazillion shelters open that people can go to for free if they need it.

I can fucking guarantee your average Orlando / Greater Orlando resident is not going - Oh yeah, I'm going to go plunk down hundreds of unnecessary dollars to spend one night at fucking Disney in case my power goes out.

We just don't do that here.
