I'm confused, you can search nurses on the NMC register so naturally I popped her name in out of curiosity as I noticed it said they tell you if someone is practising or has sanctions against them so was basically being a nosey so and so 😂 but theres 0 nurses with her name registered to practise as a nurse. But for some reason I think I vaguely remember her mentioning her name is complicated and I think she implied she has a different name on her passport but it was a long story and didnt go into it? This was ages and ages ago so new followers might not have seen it but is there anyone on here who has followed for ages too and remembers this? Because it says you cant work as a nurse in the nhs without being NMC registered and you cant even call yourself a nurse if your not registered but shes been calling herself the nursemum for a long time on insta, she even stated she was a nurse when she was on This Morning too so she must definitely be a nurse because she wouldn't have been able to just call herself one if she wasnt registered, i dont think for a second she isnt one, she would have been in trouble calling herself a nurse on tv if she wasnt so it's not that I think shes a fake, but she must have a different name. Googling late at night is not recommended 😂 its confused me in my tired state
She did annoy me when she kept saying she was a nurse when she wasn’t even working, she was qualified as a nurse yes, but at the time wasn’t working as one 🤦🏻‍♀️

When I qualified / graduated I needed to get into work straight away rather than wait for a position in the NHS to come up. I ended up working in the chippy, local convenience shop and nights at Asda. When people asked what I did I never once said I did what I graduated in, because well, I wasn’t.

Kaytee uses the whole ‘oh I’m a nurse so I know everything about my son and how to treat it and that other nurses are wrong!’ She actually problems is wrong. Adult nursing and paediatric nursing are two completely different qualifications, they know the very basics about the other, but an adult nurse really doesn’t know what to do when it comes to treating children and vice versa. She knows what she’s doing with J through experience but she definitely doesn’t know more than the doctors or nurses.

So the whole being registered thing. You can’t actually practice until your name is on that register and online and you have your number, so if she is working as a nurse she will be on there. If she has done anything wrong to effect her registration it won’t show online just yet, if she has been suspended from work or dismissed it won’t necessarily show on her registration at all.

It’s hard to call the whole job thing, they are strict with the whole social media but I’ve not seen anything related to her work that could be detrimental. However, the governing bodies do take social media complaints from the public very seriously.

In our social media policy it states we are not to post photos of ourselves in uniform. I never have and never will. I don’t even mention work on social media. There are so many that do this though, write comments about work, tag themselves in at a hospital (we go to different hospitals throughout a shift). Now most get away with it, managers will see it and turn a blind eye. But... if a member of public makes a complaint you’re in the tit.

You could have joe bloggs, posts every day about work, photos in uniform, photos of hospitals making derogatory comments about work on Facebook, and gets away with it for years.

Then John smith posts his first ever work related photo, in uniform holding a brew. A member of public sees it and reports it. John smith then gets investigated.

I reckon Kaytee (is that seriously how she spells it?) is currently on annual leave and is going to hand her notice in soon if not already, she probably thinks she is too good for it now.

She leaves him alone while he’s on a feed?
Edit: thinking about it I’m guessing that’s necessary for night feeds? I was just thinking you don’t leave a toddler alone to eat, and she’s saying he’s at risk of vomit and choking? So I’d assume you’d sit with him like you would any other child?

I sit with my child while they’re on their feed, they could vomit at anytime as they’re high risk of aspiration. I could never leave them alone, they’re fed 4 hourly, the feed takes an hour to go through. I do this day and night I honestly could never leave them alone xx

You do this for two reasons.
1. Because it’s could save your child’s life.
2. Because your child is not an inconvenience.
😘

There is simply no comparison between what she does and what everyone else does.
His High Rate Care element is awarded based on the extra care he needs within a 24 hr period. It doesn’t ask you if your able to do your makeup while he eats. Or if you can upload an add while he runs amok in the kitchen. Or how many PT sessions you might miss if he’s ill. It’s financial help provided to assist with the extra care that is crucial for his well-being. This means missing meals yourself, not washing for days, weeing when you sneeze (just me then? 🤣 because I’ve not been able to leave him to go to the loo), being left out when friends and family meet because you just can’t face people and putting yourself at the bottom of the priority list. I see NONE of this in her stories. And what I do see isn’t genuine.

She’s also very recently qualified isn’t she? And it can take ages for your pin to come through and actually be entered onto the register.

I think her name should maybe more appropriately be The HCA Mum 👀
I wondered that but the NMC have put on their website that it's taking them between 2-10 days to put people on the register, there is also a temporary covid 19 register and checked that but nothing. I tried all variations of her name but nothing at all. I'm pretty sure she did say her name is different on her passport to what she uses but didnt explain further. This would have been well over a year or 2 ago, when she had a small following. She might be using her mums surname but has her dads legally and never changed it. I wonder if all the reports to benefits we did about her were investigated now, because they would have all said Kaytee Jones 🙄😂

I was about to say the same thing, as an SEN mum I've been through the dla process MANY times, and the night care she must of stated how many times she is up and for how long and why. If she can't sit and watch him during the day, no way she would be watching him during the night too. Like many others here, the whole thing she portrays angers me for all of the above reasons people have stated. She has a huge sense of self entitlement and that by itself does my head in.

I have a middle range car, I can lock the back windows but not the front.

I actually think it’s pretty cool he can do it with his feet though!

Her stories this morning....
Was only the other day she told her followers bluntly she didn't want recommendations but now she does.... However she then proceeds to shoot every single suggestion down. The way she speaks to her followers is disgusting. She doesn't want their advice. She wants to portray her sob story. She wants engagement.... Not help. Even if someone came up with a good suggestion, she'd not practise it.
She's said in the past him pulling his tube is self harm... Which she things is a high need to get continuing care.

If he was so bad with his vomiting, you would be sat with him, making sure he didn't aspirate. You'd also surely play with him to distract!?!? The distractions she came out with.... Not one of those involved her PLAYING with her son. Not one.
It's the TV. Its the ipad. It's the leaving him constantly to leave him. So she can do her cringe tik toks, her ads, her swiping on tinder for a rich fella and dolling herself up everyday.
I remember she used to have a male carer, who has quite big muscles from little snippets of him.. And I remember she'd always have full slap on for his shift 😂
Just play with your kid then he won't be bored! Him being bored... Means he's going to play with his tube.
I don't think it's as bad as she makes out, the tube pulling.... Notice its come about when his weight is declining!?? Almost as if... Her son is the reason his weight is going down because he's ripping his tube out.... Taking the blame of herself.
Today she goes for a walk... Doesn't take his feed with her? Now I have a tube fed child, I take his feeding pump in the portable bag, to every appointment I go to. On every walk. So he can be fed whilst doing those things.... So I'm not tied to having to be home for a certain time... And because things over run.

Shes stated before that he's missed feeds because of appointments... She should by now know they over run. So take his friggin portable feeding bag. Surely he is fed when she travels down to London every weekend she seems to go.... So how does she feed him then?!?!? Sounds to me like she's just the most unorganised woman I've ever seen. Feeding your child should be top priority..... Above putting your rit magnetic lashes on.

Why does he never seem to be strapped in anything properly? The car seat, his pram etc?
The amount of times she shows him clearly unsafe in that car seat, with the straps under his arms.... Its a disaster waiting to happen. We all know she's not the best driver. She had a bump the other week and funnily enough it wasn't her fault 🙄 she took very few driving lessons and passed extremely quickly. The woman is constantly getting parking tickets.... Speeding fines... Abuses the blue parking badge.
He's sat in the front..... And his legs and arms can reach the window buttons... The gear stick.... Which in it self is a disaster waiting to happen. If she's driving on the motorway and he puts his legs around the gear stick..... Or opens the window, chucks something out... Or it catches her unaware the window and she looses control of that car..... Its scary.
And he's never strapped in... I fear for that poor boy.

She’s so bleeping lazy! If he keeps reaching to pull it during the feed, stop his hands and redirect like any parent would when their child is touching something that shouldn’t be touched. She just can’t be arsed. She wants answers that solve it in a way that she has to do duck all so she can sit back and do nothing while he eats.

Terrifying isn't it :( she's had numerous speeding fines too. If I was driving and window went down suddenly at 70mph I'd would startle me and I could become distracted at the wheel.

Her name on the register will have to be the same as all official documents, like her passport. I had to send my passport off with my registration application.

The temporary Covid register is for any of the people that have retired or left their job and asked to come back to help with the covid situation.

I reckon though she would have registered as soon as she had confirmation of her qualifying. If you don’t register with it a certain amount of time the qualification can become nul as you’ve not been practicing, unless you can prove you have been doing things to prevent deskilling. It’s all really strict.

I think I remember her saying something about it when she started her job, I think that was one of the reasons she started work.
Although I’ve never felt like it was a job she’d love, it came across as more of a status thing.

100% a status thing! She can’t call herself nurse mum and preach about people practicing Botox without being registered if she isn’t one her self!
you need to work 450 hours in 3 years (alongside some CPD hours and other things) but she knows this and will do the bare minimum just to keep herself registered as opposed to actually having any passion in The career.

The parking tickets are infuriating. Just because you have a sen child does not exempt you from the law ffs. And how many times has she got followers to pay for her. Lots of times. She's also accuses the blue badge rules and complains, the rules are there to protect all blue badge holders.

Also re work, how many rants did she have about not being allowed to story in her uniform. When she started work every photo and story was in get uniform until she was told off. She's a total show off, at the cost of cross contamination and js health. I wouldn't be surprised if her new management told her to keep working as a nurse to build her brand. She incident has zero interest in the job.
