And he’s saddled with a name like October. Sges got no idea he’s going to get called Octopus, Octagon all sorts at school. She can’t control that.
To be a fly on the way in a primary school classroom full of 10yr olds during roll call. I’d be shortening it to Toby pretty quick, unless there’s another option?

Yes and she’s already said she doesn’t like that 😂. But sadly she’ll get no option as the other kids won’t care what she thinks.

That ‘party’ looked tragic. Were there actually other kids there or was it solely for content?

Will she still be peddling this black/beige blandness when the octokid is older and him and his mates are expecting a power rangers party? 😂

The poor kid is going to get called Captain Barbacles or Kwazii. There are worse nicknames though, so hopefully one of those sticks before kids in his class get to learning shapes.

omg. her recent stories talking about getting back to renovating, and showing before/after- they stripped all the character and Victorian features out of that house and turned it into a bland magnolia and black soulless blank canvas. (steamed milk my backside- its magnolia everywhere)

It’s soooo bland. I know the maximalist trend is overdone but it suits a period property much better more than what’s she done. Everything she’s done so far looks too big or too small (plus she’s ripped a fireplace out of the kitchen too, I see). She obviously has no idea about interior design because you can’t just transplant your signature style from one property to the next unless you know what you’re doing. Painting everything beige and putting modern features in a period property is what a house flipper does. I’m not saying absolutely everything should be period appropriate but imo, she should have worked with the features of the house, rather than trying to erase them entirely. That’s what a lot of people did in the 60’s/70’s with houses built pre war and we’re now everyone spending money trying to restore the original features. If she wanted to live in a soulless box, buy a new build or build it yourself.

I might be in the minority but I liked what she did with her last house, but this one is just blah. I can see the look she’s going for, but she’s just missing the mark. The mirror on the wall above the fire in the dining room (?) is foul too.

And the conference room dining table. 🫣

I liked how she said she couldn’t be bothered to tidy up and the only thing that’s out of place is the kids play gym. When my kids were that age, the living room always looked like a bomb had exploded in Santa’s grotto.

on the plus side, at least the toy was colourful and not colour coded in tasteful shades of beige but the room looks like the waiting area at the Doctors.

The biggest travesty was the hallway floor. I still cannot believe they covered that up with awful orange VINYL

Driving over 3 hours to take her 1 year old who hates strangers to meet Father Christmas.

Why would you bother?!
