I read that it’s a disgruntled ex. Which is pretty awful if they’ve been holding on to this information for years and is only revealing it now out of what appears like revenge.
I thought the same. She's a nasty, uncaring, vindictive cow IMO - didn't give a damn about that poor woman - but I'm glad she's finally brought the truth to light even if it is out of spite.
She should be charged with perverting the course of justice.
I'm not sure, but I think that there is no onus on anyone to actually offer information or help the police in any way. I think it's regarded as being different to actually concealing a weapon (for instance) on behalf of somebody else, or lying to cover for them - that sort of thing. I think if she could claim some sot of deniability ("I didn't realise until recently when he said . . . " etc she wouldn't be prosecutable.
I could well be wrong - IANAL - but I have a feeling that there is a fine distinction in law. Also, she may have offered the information on condition that she herself wasn't charged.

I think legally you’re probably absolutely right.
But I find it virtually impossible to believe that she didnt recognise him immediately when the cctv footage was released. I think she’s almost certainly known all along, although her reasons for keeping quiet are impossible to guess. If you’re in a relationship with the kind of person who would do something like this perhaps she was concerned about her own safety. Who knows.

If it hadn’t been for the bus driver swerving the victim could well have been killed.

What I couldn’t believe reading the coverage the past few days was that not only did he go out of his way to push that woman, he looped back and ran by the scene again a while later. Talk about being brazen.
Yeah, I didn't remember this detail. It said the woman shouted at him on his return too, so I was surprised no one ran after him.

To nobody's great surprise, it's been announced Prince George will attend Eton.
I thought they were doing things differently? Boarding at Eton doesn't seem to fit with their new touchy feely brand, just doing what they were always going to do, why did they pretend otherwise? I hate the idea of boarding school (all of them not just Eton), very cruel practice sending your kids off.
Not really true, the late Queen Elizabeth II was educated by tutors as were most monarchs before her. The King is the first monarch who really went to school and sporty Gordonstoun not Eton, as did Andrew. Princess Diana put her foot down though and insisted William and Harry went to the less macho and more refined and academic Eton and the same has been chosen for George. On security grounds Eton's proximity to Windsor Castle and its history of dealing with royal princes makes sense
George has been boarding occasionally at his current school and Eton has exeat weekends as well as half term etc. (though being Eton they're not called that), so I guess they've tried it out and found it works for him.
One thing I was reading made a point I hadn't thought of - at Eton he won't stand out. There will be boys who come from far richer families, there will be boys who come from far more aristocratic families, and there will be boys who are princes from other countries. It's the closest thing to feeling just like one of the others that he'll probably ever get.

Fair dos', just hoped they'd shake it up a bit, boarding feels so cold
... and they have systems in place to protect Princes, because they are used to having them there.
Also, he's not 7 so it's not too much of a wrench away from family and their home is close by.
