What do you all think of this? The comments on the post aren’t very supportive of the Royals. I’m not sure if I see anger, confusion or being uncomfortable. To me it seems like the children aren’t 100% sure if they should wave to protesters and Kate is watching them. If she waved or looked away then that would have been wrong.

I’d be anxious in an open carriage passing protesters with my three children too. Worried what might happen and also that Louis might flip them the bird!

with her every move being watched she can’t even lean into the kids and say just smile and wave or anything.

Lady Pamela expressed her wishes clearly. She wanted a small private funeral attended by those closest to her, nothing more.
Good for her. She got what she wanted.

I thought her daughter looked so genuinely sad, that and her Mum's wishes for a quiet funeral made me think her Mum must have been a lovely Lady. May she RIP.

That poster is a huge Meghan and Harry fan, probably a paid up member of the Sussex Squad, I muted her long ago as she is just incredibly biased and will find any excuse to bash the RF.

Reading the comments I can see that.

Regardless of your political opinions, booing kids is a bit pathetic.

The' Abolish The Monarchy' brigade, always turn up whenever there is a royal event or walkabout with their yellow placards, there are usually about 40, maybe 50 of them who always who turn up in their yellow tops. Their signs get bigger and they try to make as much noise as they can but their numbers don't seem to increase. They are just a pathetic bunch in my opinion and booing children they just sink lower.

I admire Catherine and even more the children for staying calm and composed. I saw these protesters previously. They are present at every Kimg Charles event.

I have to laugh, though. He is their king whether they like it or not.
They can chant and wave their banners all they want. It won't change a thing.

He’s probably pretty glad the don’t want him as their king. I wouldn’t want to be associated with folks who spend their Saturday shouting, jeering and intimidating 3 kids aged 12 and below

I'm going to be VERY unpopular here (business as usual to be fair).. Whilst it is pathetic to boo anyone, particularly children, I do feel it's important for the royal children to recognise that not everyone supports the monarchy and they cannot expect unlimited sycophancy their whole lives. I'm sure Kate will have discussed it with them anyway.

No I agree. People have the right to protest the Royals.

People absolutely have the right to protest, and the royal children will no doubt understand that not everyone supports the monarchy. That's part of living in a democracy.

However, I do think it is rather pathetic to boo children. They haven't chosen the family they were born into, and they are not responsible for constitutional debates.

The media can be equally ridiculous. There were around 20 protesters, yet the coverage often made it appear as though there were huge crowds of anti-monarchists. Through selective camera angles and endless reporting, a very small group can seem far larger and more significant than it actually is.

Protest by all means. Criticise the institution if you wish. But booing children achieves nothing and says far more about the adults doing it than the children themselves.

When you think about it, it's all weird for them, the cheers and the boos. Christmas church superfans is odd. I love the jewels frocks and general pageantry, but they are all birds in gilded cages

They're a pretty motley group of people who have made anti-royal protesting their purpose in life.

Frankly, I'd look pretty angry if crowds of people - ADULTS - were booing and waving threateningly at my children, too.

Of course, Catherine didn't like it! And especially when two of the children were in a different carriage and not so easy to reassure. I know George looks very grown up and behaves in a mature way,, and Charlotte is very poised and apparently confident but George isn't even 13 yet. and Charlotte is only just 11. They are CHILDREN

You are absolutely right that they are children, and I don't blame Catherine for disliking adults booing at them. However, all three children were actually in the same carriage with her, so they weren't separated from each other or from their mother.

Regardless, George is not even 13, Charlotte has only just turned 11, and Louis is only 8. They may appear mature and composed in public, but they are still children. People have every right to protest against the monarchy, but directing hostility towards children is unnecessary and achieves nothing.

Apologies - I only watched briefly and thought that George and Charlotte were in a different carriage. Mea culpa.

Having just watched a video from a You Tuber I'm subscribed to I was rather shocked to hear shouting from the TV when I went to make a coffee.
Turned out to be this video which came on whilst I was in the kitchen. Sounds like the British journalists were upset by the American authors words about Catherine, and Grant Harrold had a face on him like Prince William.

Then I read the comments that they kept referring to and the public seem rather angry too.🤔

I'll have to put it on watch later as I'm too busy to watch it all now.

You all probably know more than me about the furore over this book, as the video seems to be 2 days old.

Royal watchers.......who is this?

He's been arrested as the Putney Pusher, that man who pushed a woman in to the path of a bus.

He is 44 now, a former army officer who then moved into banking. Familial ties to European royalties and the house of Windsor

A director at a private bank, he is a decorated former British Army officer who served in several major conflicts.
