Edinburgh Council have started plans for road closures etc. I believe Operation Unicorn is the Queen will be taken to Holyrood, then St Giles Cathedral. So the HQ and City Chambers Staff are to work from home. If the funeral is Monday 19th Sept, it’s a local holiday here.
I saw a timeline saying her coffin would be brought here 3 days after her death and stay for 24 hours before being taken to Waverley and to London on the Royal train - so that would be this Sunday/Monday I think?

I would really like to go.

I remember Princess Diana's funeral was on a Saturday. Can't help but feel the Queen's may also be planned for a Saturday to avoid getting an emergency bank holiday sorted.

I know lots of people work on Saturdays, but it'll still be less disruptive.
It’s 10 days after so Sunday next week?

I have been watching this since I own the video. However it is on YouTube. It is delightful. “The Queen at 90”. Home movies presented by The Queen’s children and grandchildren. This was made in 2016.

I'm not sure why civil servants would need to know in advance of the public?
