Oh god I have so many and getting the ick is something I really struggle with. It can happen to me on the first date or a month/two months down the line!

- calling dinner “dins” as in “what are you having for your dins?”
- dodgy sunglasses
- calling me “foxy” during sex
- being rude to servers in restaurants/on the phone to strangers
- eating too fast
- skinny jeans
- dirty/messy bedrooms and bedsheets
- falling prey to a Bitcoin scammer on Instagram and “investing” £600 with said scammer
- wearing a necklace or earring
Foxy 😆😆😆😆

This might sound "ick", probably because it is! (hope you're not eating btw?)

Used tampons - do you flush them down the loo at home? I do, even though I have read you really shouldn't because it could cause a blockage.
I do too 🥴. I know I’m going straight to hell for it but you’re a better person than me if you bin them!

These sorts of conversations always make me DIE but also feel really weird because none of them put me off my boyfriend:ROFLMAO: is that weird?
No not weird at all! I thought I was the weird one getting cringed out at simply normal things, but saw a massive thread on twitter and realised so many get the ick over ridiculous things:ROFLMAO:

I hate it when the only picture they have on their dating profile is of them doing a sport. I came across one guy who’s picture was him doing a trick on motorbike. With a helmet on. I can’t even see what you fucking look like?

also that last comment honestly made me snort with laughter and cringe so hard I may have just lost 5lbs at the same time
clearly a Shrek lookalike

Not harsh. I went on a date with a guy who had a flat head. He picked me up in his car so I had direct eye line for it. He had a shaved head on the back and sides as well with hair on the top so it was even more visible that he had a flat head. Absolute no. There were a lot of things about him that gave me the ick though, the flat head wasn't even the icing on the cake.
I know it's not exactly what you're describing, but fade hairstyles give me the ick. Especially because the age of the guys I'm dating, like.. Get a grown up hairstyle.

You need to tell us the other ick-inducing things he did!

😂 is this sarcasm? Not sure if it is and why it gives me the ick, I suppose because it’s childish and I wanna date a man not an overgrown toddler.
My father’s several hours long ‘naps’ were a key feature of my parents divorce! So it’s not just you! (He could never be disturbed - especially not by his young children!) A nap is 15 mins max and most adults don’t need one!

Thought of another one. One guy when I was about 17 we’d known each other from school before he’d moved. Went to the cinema (thank god in the end!) so he gets on the bus that I’m on and he didn’t speak. Didn’t speak while we were walking around town. Didn’t speak before the film. He literally would just yes to what I was saying and sort of hmmm and nod. After the film I made my excuses and left. He then text me when I got home to say he’d had an amazing time and we could do it again!! I was sick of the sound of my own voice! Needless to say there was no second date, I texted him back a few days later and fizzled it out. Shy men are not endearing and not being able to read the signs is major ick for me. Read the room mate!!
Holy shit this reminds me of a date I went on last year that stuck in my mind because it was so awful. So the guy turned up 45 minutes late but because I'd met him before through a friend of a friend, I thought I'd wait because we got along really well on the night out we had met on. When he eventually turned up, much like your guy, he didn't speak AT ALL the whole time at the bar. Never felt more awkward, I just kept chatting shit because I was so confused. He eventually started talking when he got sufficiently drunk at the next bar. So basically he didn't seem to be able to talk around girls unless he was wasted. 😒

I know I don't want to be an asshole, but I know that's what I need to do. I think I'm less worried about whether he thinks I'm a bitch and whether he'll tell other people (as I like a lot of people that I went to school with and have kept in contact with them over the years) that I'm an asshole. Either way, I need to get over worrying about what other people think 😂

I think he's definitely had discussions with mutual friends about me/him/us, otherwise god knows why he'd keep pursuing. I'm friends with his friends (again, from school) and on the night when he drunkenly told me he loved me etc his friends were actively pulling him away and apologising on his behalf, so I know they aren't the type to encourage it and more likely would tell him to cut his losses and not pursue me.

Overall, I know what I have to do; just involves me putting my big girl pants on and biting the bullet😂 as I said, I hope he takes it well & doesn't assume I'm just making excuses - like the last time I told him I wasn't interested I explained lack of time for a relationship/to be seeing somebody. That wasn't an excuse, I genuinely don't have time for it at the minute😂
Just keep screenshots of your messages, then if any of them start on you you can whip out the receipts!

Not to derail but it always really stresses me out on shows like TOWIE when they film the couples laying in bed and the girls are always in like lingerie? Not even pyjamas? Who "sleeps" in a lace black bra set?! That gives me the ick, it's just uncomfortable and intimate. Why can't they film them sitting at the coffee table!
Me too. It's uncomfortable to watch because it's so unnecessary. I also always think of their relatives that have to see them intimately like that. There was once a scene with Danielle in her lingerie waiting for James to come home and get some. 😬🤢 I was cringing for her. I'm by no means a prude, but couples uploading pictures of themselves in bed is a huge cringeworthy ick.

Has anyone ever just woken up one day and got major ick from their partner, like every single thing was cringeworthy to the point of breaking up... Hope it wasn't just me
I had this all the time back in the day when I actually HAD boyfriends! Sometimes it would be fine for months (or in one case, a year) and then BAM, the ick. Goodbye! I think it’s worse getting it later as everyone thinks you’re a cow but once you have it, you just can’t shake it. Nowadays I get it really quickly. It’s like my subconscious is giving me a ‘get out quickly’ card to save time 🥳

Speaking as a chap, I find nose rings give me the ick. And nose piercings, almost makes me nauseous.
