I know it's not exactly what you're describing, but fade hairstyles give me the ick. Especially because the age of the guys I'm dating, like.. Get a grown up hairstyle.
You need to tell us the other ick-inducing things he did!
He was a nice guy tbf, just clueless I think?
-He would say really cringe
tit all the time like, he was on holiday with his mates so I asked how he was feeling after a night out and he was like "well a lot of pints were drunk last night... if you know what I mean" and I was like???? what are you 50. Just say you're hungover.
-He used the word "patta" when describing the teasing he got of his mates. (that one still makes my womb shrivel no joke.)
For context, we had a mutual friend but we'd never met so we'd been speaking for 4 weeks before he asked me out on a date (hindsight: that should have told me everything I needed to know but there you go).
-So a few days before the date we'd arranged, I see him on a night out. Didn't come over to speak to me. Didn't even wave. Flat out ignored me. Saw him later on, his friend ( who I know but not the mutual friend that set us up) came over to speak to me so that we could be introduced. That whole thing really put me off him. I want a man, not a school boy who has to have his friend come over to introduce him!
-Same night out, he was stood the other side of the bar on his phone... however, in a previous text conversation he'd told me that he's never on his phone with his friends (fair enough). Picture my surprise when I see him on a night out. with his friends. on his phone. for a whole hour. while I'm sat the other side of the bar. and he still hadn't replied to my text.
-still decided to go on the date to give him a chance. After the date, I made a joke about him using the petrol money I snuck him for our next date and he told me he'd (quote here) "buy me a side order". It was done and dusted at that point. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not a materialistic woman and I didn't want him to say he'd pay for my meal. It's just that the whole comment is just bizarre. For me, if you liked someone you wouldn't say you'll buy them a side order. I read it and I was like what? I told my guy mates and they were all like ?????
I fizzled it out. Mutual friend told me about 5 months later that he's bitter about it so yeah.
