Can confirm I am Irish and I (and my family etc) definitely do this. Kind of gives me the ick but I just. can't. help. it!!!!reading this thread I am starting to think that my husband is one big ick.
Another one, (that he may or may not do) he has an irish accent, I don't - he copies my accent in a really overexaggerated way and thinks its hilarious. Its not.
Anyone doing an accent that isn't their own as a joke makes me irrationally upset.
