Yes whenever I see someone using them I’m like, ah I see you caved to societal pressure and decided to jump on the bandwagon. Using them anywhere is an ick but especially on Linkedin for some reasonPlease don’t attack me for this.. but people using pronouns gives me the biggest ick 🫣
Or people using them in an email signature in work - WHY BOTHER?!Yes whenever I see someone using them I’m like, ah I see you caved to societal pressure and decided to jump on the bandwagon. Using them anywhere is an ick but especially on Linkedin for some reason
Yes! I think I've posted about this before but I work with someone who at one point had Mx/Ms/She/Her/They/Them in her signature, it's now been changed to just Mx/Ms/She/Her. Why?? How do you have this much time to sit and ponder such trivial things? Oh I don't really feel like a They/Them anymore, better change my work email signature...Or people using them in an email signature in work - WHY BOTHER?!
I literally do not care what gender you identify with or don't identify with - just answer my bloody email!![]()
Literally! How do you have the time to overthink such mundane details?!Yes! Such a good point that the question shouldn’t be pushed if you don’t want to reveal your pronouns.Don’t ever say your pronouns if you don’t feel comfortable- it’s no different to being asked to give your religion in a meeting. Just say, ‘hi, I’m XX’ and then end it. If they ask you to give pronouns, say ‘No thank you’ and that should be it. They feed into gender ideology (that someone is a man/woman because they ‘feel’ like they do, nothing else) and you don’t have to believe in it. It’s protected in the equality act.
Sorry for the detail but I hate seeing people feeling forced into anything!
I think I’ve asked this before but has anyone ever got over an ick they have developed?? I have got one and desperately tried to make it work, but it just gets worse. I had the nicest bf once, I still dream about him. Sadly, I got the ick over his pointy man boobs (pointy when he was lying over me once and I never got over it). I wish I could go back and just ignore it!
No. Goodbye.we were once out in the winter and I admired his gloves. He said he had such small hands he had to buy them from the ladies section....
Was your ex Paddy from Phoenix nights? The ‘pure’ ick is when you did previously like someone but suddenly you notice the way they do XYZ and bam, you get the ick. It’s irreversible. You have no choice but to end it as soon as you can as everything they do gets tainted and also becomes an ick. I’ve gone out with men I’ve fancied but if I get it, I can’t even bear to kiss them anymore. My last ex gave me the ick when I found a shaker pot of hair fibres to hide thinning in his bathroomAfter that I couldn’t stop looking at his hair, noticing where this dark stuff rubbed off on things, imagining him powdering it on
He had to go.
Otherwise they’re just turn offs and general dislikes!
Horrible expression but men with "womanly " hips are such an ick. I read that somewhere and it describes it perfectly.Such a good point that the question shouldn’t be pushed if you don’t want to reveal your pronouns.
Re the pointy man boobs, another thing which is a big ick along with this is when a man is particularly ‘hippy’- even worse if they have pointy man boobs to go along with it tooI just want to tell them to get their testosterone levels checked out.
Unfortunately we have no choiceOr people using them in an email signature in work - WHY BOTHER?!

I was in a relationship with a guy who had been a bit overweight as a child and then lost it when he went to uni. I remember the first time we had sex, he was on top and he and his pyramid bits were pointing at me. I saw past it and was in a long relationship with him. IIRC, they got less noticeable (he was only 21 when we began dating) what frustrated me was he was sort of fatphobic and I recall a few years into the relationship and I gained a bit of weight, he prodded my lower stomach that was sticking out as I was driving. It had never bothered me until he did that and now I wish i’d not dismissed his moobs!Don’t ever say your pronouns if you don’t feel comfortable- it’s no different to being asked to give your religion in a meeting. I'm married to bearded baldyBald men with long beards. It's like they think "Well, I can't grow hair on my head, so I'll grow it in the one place I can!"
It looks bad and unkempt and they always look so smug with themselves, so they obviously think it looks great.
