Count yourself lucky to have a husband. Have you see my bumble screenshots? Think of us poor singletons 😂 I can’t even get past the talking stage without getting the ick (eg the guy who told me he did an escape room. I’m still not over it)
🤣🤣🤣
Small blessings I suppose

I had a husband once. Wouldn't have called that lucky 🤣🤣 He's the source of most of my icks!
🤣🤣🤣 feel this. Alot of days he repulses me 🤣🤣

Really interesting article on the ick here! I don’t think it allows for how bonding and amusing an experience ick-sharing can be though!
That said, I do love the idea of a reverse ick, even if it’s more heart warming than hilarious. Any appetite for another thread dedicated to it?

“You can absolutely get over an ick, because it’s coming from you,” says Nicholl (Jo Nicholl, a psychotherapist specialising in relationships). Rather than treating an unexpected revulsion as an immediate deal-breaker, we could get curious about it. What are our associations? What do we feel? It’s telling us a story about ourselves and it will serve us to understand what that story is. (Fun reminder: it’s unprocessed low self-worth.) So no one gives you the ick – you do it to yourself. It is your infantilisation, your fear of the animal part, your smallness, your ugliness.”

I just can’t look at icks in the same way, now I know what they are. Before I stop scrolling, I do one final search, turning up the hashtag #reverseicks. The same attention to emotional detail, but in the service of feelings far more hopeful. Them doing something to annoy you, then running away while you chase them. Reading a book together and they get closer to you, to see the words. Him letting you write on his hand. We are what we pay attention to.

Yeah it came to a head one Xmas when lots of drinks meant lots of toilet visits and I got tired of stepping in it.

Its an ick in itself really isn't it, fellas who can't aim (but then I'm also ick'ed by men who do sit down wees 🤣).
You just need to get them all medical urinal bottles & send them out in the garden really 🤣🤣

Even worse, Men riding scooters topless AND in shorts, more than an Ick but it's
fooking stupid.
That is stupid but last Friday I was coming home from work, there was this woman riding a little scoot in a short summer dress and 1970's white Abbaesque platform sandals on her feet. Couldn't believe my eyes. Silly bint. 🤬

I am getting a regular ick at the moment due to hayfever weather - people suppressing sneezes. Instead of sneezing, they hold their nose and do a weird inverted hiccup/sneeze noise. Even worse when it's like 10 non-sneezes in a row.

Also hate actual sneezes tbf.
You know what they say about 10 in a row 😂😂

We were going out for dinner last night and husband is trying to find something to wear. I come in the bedroom to find him wearing a shirt he bought from Abercrombie back in the early 2000s that is huge on him and is untucked, jeans that weren't quite mid blue but had almost a green tinge to them and were baggy plus brown pointy shoes that he normally wears with his work clothes. He's never looked less attractive 🤣

He's tall and slim, he suits fitted shirts and slim leg trousers, why he decided to resurrect the hideous clothing of his youth is a mystery!
Naughties is back, innit?

Maybe not for those of us who did it first time around though...

Alas no. I am a man who pays very little attention to heels, and basically own multiple pairs of the same two types of shoe - one trainer, one walking/boot, both low-budget - to save on thinking about “style” or being caught out by shoes breaking / being lost. I have no doubt this is an ick for many, many women on here.
If you also like to read, you may be my ideal man.

I’m so behind on Harry stuff. Is the “leave America”/ blame Olivia crowd just annoyed because it’s advising people to move out of America?

1. They absolutely fucking should, it seems like an awful place unless you’re privileged.

2. It’s literally a throw away line about her traveling and bringing her two kids with her. Followed by an (I think) underhanded line about how Jason is also moving on “I don’t wanna talk about who’s doing it first”

Not such an irrational one but I was talking to someone, seemed to be going well. Then he said his ex (mother of his just turned one yr old daughter) had just asked him if he could pick something up she needed from the shop and drop it over as baby is asleep. He refused and was laughing about it. I blocked him after that. That one sentence told me all I needed to know about the sort of person he is 🙄

He might have thought, that you wouldn't be happy, if he was still in unnecessary contact with his ex wife.

As someone who has just finished their Invisalign treatment that including whitening, the canines are usually a darker colour than the rest of your teeth. One of mine wouldn’t stay white at all. FYI it was not noticeably yellow 😂 I can’t remember what the dentist said as to why they tend to be more yellow. Btw, I’m not offended, incase that’s what you were wondering lol.
I assumed they had veneers at the front, the rest were normal
