Genuinely baffled by how anyone can sleep under 10.5 tog in summer! In fact any time past about April! I am only slim, feel the cold (hands and feet usually cold) and sleep alone and I would be melting under 10.5 tog

I have a mega weighted blanket and honestly it is the best thing I have ever purchased. It comes with a really nice cover which I wash once a week and the blanket I just spray with fabreze and hang over my patio chairs to air off.
Pillow I have one of those shaped memory foam ones. My chiropractor recommended it as I have a neck injury and I can't sleep without it now. The pillow cost more than the weighted blanket but worth every penny.

I HATE changing duvet covers. Whoever decided that was a valid task should be shot. I still can’t get the hang of it now.
I hate fitted sheets that spring up from the corners. I got these little elastic things that hold them in place but they pop off too.
I hate soft pillows you sink into, my pillows are flat and rock hard. I hate change in general though so have struggled to get a pillow that I enjoy.

I’ve ordered a Couple of silent night coverless duvets to try. They come with a pillow too. Going to rotate them and wash and hopefully they are good as I really hate changing duvets etc

Mine does too, it is filled with glass beads and then the cover is one side cotton and one side brushed polyester.

I bought a brand called Highams from Ebay for my children. They are grey and come in a variety of sizes and weights and were very reasonably priced. About £25 if I remember correctly. I put duvet covers on them to protect them and just febreeze and air the actual blanket when I wash the cover. We've had them a couple of years now and they seem to be going strong still.
4.5 most of the year, 9 in the depths of winter when it's properly freezing. Never clip them together for 13.5. We are in a mid terrace which seems to retain the heat well, and I hate being too warm at night!
It's a John Lewis hollowfibre one we got on our wedding list 12 years ago. Washes well and still going strong!
Oh also it's a super king and we have a king bed so plenty of duvet to share

I agree, I have one as well. In the heat waves I swap to a light weight quilt I made in Liberty fabric.
I also have a memory foam mattress topper. I can’t sleep without it, because of fibromyalgia.

I don’t think a double or bigger would fit but a single may. I’m not sure on instructions if it says what size machine you need. Sorry I can’t be anymore helpful. But they are fab!!Absolutely loving this thread!
I only have a 5kg washing machine so I don't think a coverless duvet would fit? I'd really like to get single ones for my kids as they sweat/dribble/occasionally wet their normal ones. Does anyone know otherwise?
I have 5 altogether!! 2 from m&s and the 3 spare bed ones from the range! I love the marks’ ones and visitors tell me the range ones are really cozy! I think a few people have bought them!!

Just recently started using a lighter weight Devon Duvets Wool duvet from John Lewis. Was a decent expense, but I'm enjoying it so far. One of the reviews commented that it was a bit loud, which confused me at first, but it definitely is a bit noisier than my down duvet! It's warm enough for right now (I'm in Scotland) but also a nice heavy weight. Not sure if it will handle the depths of winter. We shall see!
A leg or arm sticking out is really one of life's best free temperature regulators!I just need to share my twopenneth re: duvets.
1.) I have a superking size bed. We have a double and a kingsize duvet on it. Before that we were having full blown rows in the night over our share of the duvet.
2.) I have a thick duvet all year round. Wgen the weather gets hotter I simply adjust how much of my body is covered with the duvet e.g have my legs and arms poking out. Works a treat.

The secret to fitted sheets is a trip to Dunelm, they do different depths of sheet, game changer, no more pingy corners

4.5 wool, year round - if it gets really cold I add a hot water bottle, used to add a blanket as well but have had problems with my knee which mean that I get very uncomfortable if the covers are too heavy. It's lovely to see other single duvet fans here, I always feel weirdly defensive about this. We switched to having two single duvets on a double bed some years ago when I was having chemo and night sweats and have never gone back to double duvet - my partner has a 10.5 feather duvet year round plus one of those M&S fleecy blankets. (I find changing the bed linen much less of an effort with singles.) (The wool duvet is machine washable/line dry, the feather one visits the dry cleaner)

Living on the edge... nah just a very cold being.15 tog!! Wow, you are wild.
It can be absolutely sweltering outside but I have to have a bit of duvet on me.

I've had the weirdest think recently. For years I had two pillows. Usually a mix of medium and firm. Then, about 2 years ago, I changed my pillows and I haven't been comfortable since! I can't tell you how many pillows I've got through and the combinations.

It's a divan base which I thought was pretty durable/okay for spring mattresses! I get all my mattress/bed info from John Ryan by Design, the FAQs and videos are so informative. Divan base was easiest/cheapest to obtain in a custom size....

I've got a Welsh wool 10.5 and 4.5 duvet. Live in an old farmhouse so usually it's the 15 tog for 11 months of the year. But I've been on 4.5 for months now. Boyfriend just has a sheet but even when it's baking I need the weight.

I'm exactly the same! No matter the heat I have to have some of the duvet on me.
I love that Marrakesh set. I nearly bought it myself.
