Housekeeping coming to your room everyday isn’t the flex you think it is Pete. It means you have a reputation for being a diva and pain in the ass and they don’t want to deal with your tantrums

Did anyone catch the part in Tuesday's weekly vlog where Pete got pissy because Craig kept up a picture too long (in Pete's opinion) and wanted the camera on him talking? What an asshole. Can't imagine what he does off camera.

Personally I’m pro-Craig and feel like you can tell things are weighing on him more lately, and Pete definitely seems worse. wouldn’t be surprised if he left in the near future, it would be the end of me listening to the dis also

The nails, the ring, the purple necklace were all very distracting. He reminds me of Ursula for some reason.

you were told wrong. Newborns can easily get things like that.
I know this site is about bitching/complaining, but some people really take that to another level lmao

"It's break time for the DIS so let's complain about how Craig/Kylie want to raise their child"

Our pediatrician also told us exactly what you have said.

And as far as the "we've spent a lot and worked too hard to lose this" comment - I may be wrong, but I come with the assumption that they have also lost a pregnancy or two through all of it.

The Roaring Fork review was good, Craig did a great job filming the food and they got several things to try. That’s a dining review. Keep doing that. We don’t need Pete in them, everyone’s on edge around him.

Taking questions from the chat made for a good live show too. See, it’s not that hard, they just have to give people what they want, which is news and information about the parks along with some opinions.
I vote for less Pete with Dining Reviews, too.

He has the palate of a 40+ year chain smoker.

I dont know what it is about his nails that bother me so much. It never bothers me when men wear nail polish but for some reason it makes me uncomfortable to look at on him. And his constant burping on camera is terrible. I will say though good on him going to rehab. It certainly has seemed, really in the past year, that he is spiraling. I do not think that going to rehab will put his arrogance in check at all. He spoke on Tuesdays show that they told him that he isnt allowed to have his phone in rehab, which I think is a rule at most rehabs, but he said absolutely no. I will have my phone. He really thinks everywhere he goes that he is Pete Werner so he should get his way. He needs to realize that it is a TINY TINY TINY segment of the poplulation that knows or cares who he is.
The DisUnplugged #4 They tried to make Pete go to rehab, but he said I need my phone!

Say what you will about Craig, but I think he is the only reason to watch. He is the only one that will stand up to Pete and give real feedback. I suspect Pete expects/wants Craig to leave after the baby and is ready for Panda to take Craig's place.

Erica "I've never done that"is just not working. She brings literally nothing except a whiny demeanor to the shows. I don't care about her aniexty or her wife yet they are constantly coming up.

Also, a lot of "new members" to this platform sure are arguing a lot for Craig. Interesting...
I'd say one reason for this is you have 3 eras of The Dis: 1. WDinfo/early Youtube 2. Rise of Youtube 3. Transition/Post Covid.

It seems the majority of people who don't like him are from the first era. I get that, these were contributors from a smaller company that knew each other and already had a rapport.

A lot of people who like Craig came in on the 2nd gen. He was already running the show production wise and a lot of people like snark. His edge was cut by the remaining people from the first gen so it maintained balance.

3rd gen a lot of the long timers are not showing up, people are coming and going, the owner seems less interested, and the younger gen employees are very different from the people who had started with the company between the late '90s and 2010. They're having a hard time establishing what they once had. Snark is not as welcomed when there is a lot of chaos.

I'm in that second gen and honestly Craig, Ryno, and Pete were the main draws for me. I think there are a lot of valid criticisms of Craig but a lot of people arguing for him seem to be saying that as well. Lately he has been a bit of a pill and something is clearly going on behind the scenes.

I don't think it's people coming to shill for him. It's just the 2nd generation viewers that aren't enjoying the 3rd gen/post Covid era. Also, this is one of the nicer threads so they may not be aware how vitriolic these type of sites can get.

Don't see the downer people give to News Today. Tom gives updates and gives his views on those updates, over in about 5 minutes. Like all vlogs, you either like the person or you don't - just from News Today Tom is a good host. On the other hand, News Tonight is funny for the first 5 minutes and then I switch off - as it is so boring and childish and can last for 2 hours. They seem to think that they are comedy writers, but they aint.
WDWNT has come a long way. At the beginning, they were accused of doing some shady things such as harassing the family of the little boy that got killed by the alligator at the Grand Floridian for a comment, getting cast members fired, not paying their reporters, not reimbursing their reporters for merch/food, etc.

I don't know if any of it was true, but the rumors were there.

Tom's narcism aside, as they've grown, a lot of that has changed. Their reporting and legitimacy has improved. But there's always a subsection of the Disney fandom that doesn't want anything negative pointed out.

However, Disney needs someone like WDWNT pointing out that Space Mountain hasn't been pressure washed in four years, Rise of the Resistance has been down two days in a row or A Small World's boats have algae all over them. It holds Disney's feet to the fire.

I'm a DVC member and have been going to Disney World since I was 5. I have never seen the parks in such rough shape during my last two visits and this includes Eisner's final few years after 9/11.

You don't normally associate Disney with dirty, but the parks in 12/21 and 9/22 were just dirty (trash on the sidewalk, trashcans overfilled, dust and grime all over the monorail and monorail stations, lots of break downs and it was obvious the rides weren't being properly maintained.

I also wasn't too impressed with the lack of customer service from some cast members. I know everyone has had a rough few years and they deal with a lot, but we encountered several rude cast members (likely new hires). One cast member was screaming at another family for walking the wrong direction.

Pete loves to brag about telling Josh D'Amaro this and that and while Pete may share his opinion about something on the Tuesday show, the WDWinfo website is basically filled with Disney press releases.

Like them or not, WDWNT is the only definitive news source on Walt Disney World. If there's a new churro or snack, you're going to hear about the same day it debuts. If a ride breaks down and wasn't fixed that day, you're going to read about it.

I'm not making excuses for their bad behavior, especially early on, but they have their place.

So Craig sent me, personally, a passive aggressive email stating how he reads here and how me stating that he’s not an on air talent, and it’s getting to him. I saw the tone of it and just deleted it but he without a doubt reads here, hi Craig!

Nasty passive aggressive emails still do not make your in air skills any better. At least I thought you had thicker skin.

The DIS is over. If they think they can keep a channel about Disneyworld going, when they don’t go to Disneyworld they are delusional. They may still get views on cruise and DVC, but the core audience was/is all about the parks. I know I quit watching when Pete quit going.
This is what started the downturn of the show. Kevin and John stopped going to the parks. Pete doesn't go to the parks. Ryno can't deal with the parks anymore. Craig, still goes to the parks, but is now openly miserable about it. Deni's no longer there.

This is a show/forums/website built around going to the parks at Disney World and no one on the team goes to the parks.

Remember when they would do the live shows on Tuesday and a segment would be to go one of the team actually in the park for a report on what was going on that day. The technology never really worked that great. But how did you go from that to where we are now, where no one even goes to the parks they are supposed to be discussing.

I’ve watched a few patreon shows and ryno and Craig seem to just ignore what she says or try to move on quickly. It’s clear they don’t like her much either.
They completely ignore everything she says. It's awkward and highly amusing. She adds nothing and they acknowledge that by giving her nothing. I am in the minority about Craig. I find his dry sense of humor, self deprecating attitude and geekiness to be interesting and though his delivery can be somewhat flat, I enjoy his on-air presence.

How was the vibe of the party with the team members? Did anything stick out with you?
Craig seemed exhausted to the point that I thought he might be drunk or stoned. Julie was there but no Corey and she seemed to be in a happy mood. Saw John and Kevin from a distance and John seemed to be having fun but Kevin looked over it. Pete was in good spirits when I said hi, but the other times I saw him he was surrounded by Panda and other guys like a security detail. From my experience if you made it to him then he'd talk to you but it wasn't always easy. Didn't see Erica and didn't care as I haven't met her yet.

The party itself was short and had an awkward start like they weren't prepared with the amount of people. I saw vloggers there working like Mr Morrow but it looked like the Dis people were really just there for fun or appearances which seemed odd since there name is in it.

The biggest props goes to Deni who was visibly stressed out by how out of control the lines were for check-in but I spoke to her later in the party and it was a pleasure. I know she's off the team but I saw her talking to people the entire night more than others.

This was touched on a few pages ago, but the answer to the valuation of MTO was Petes logic vs mine. Pete is a very literal person, he is not into hypothetical things in any way. Moving To Orlando has put about 100 million dollars worth of homes under contract and most have closed but some are still being built. Our take home money that Pete and I split in 2020 was roughly 500k and then 2021 was roughly 1M. MTO didn't get it's first sale until June of 2020 so he counts that as half a year, so if we had been going the first half, then we would've made 1M then too. So the company makes a million dollars per year, so the value is $1M and he wants $1M. Of course this means my half is seen as $0, which is what he generally believed.

While I did explain to him that our success was a huge part because of Pete the Great and Powerful's influence into all realms of society, I also explained that the economy and housing was in a very weird transition that will likely not happen again soon and that every single person in real estate was saying how unusual everything was and that we can't base our business on this vacuum that 2020/2021 was. He didn't believe me of course and stuck to his guns.

Ultimately, Petes mindset is always about traffic and views because that feeds his ego but it also is the way hes always done business. My way is the opposite and that customers are more important than clicks. In most of 2021, Pete wanted me to no longer appear on Moving To Orlando shows, but I struck a deal where he and I would alternate as hosts so we just didn't have to be on each others shows. His first show was about Disney Annual Passes, it got 48K views and was one of the highest viewed videos we ever had and it brought in 5 leads and 1 of them bought a home. The home was $420,000 at 2% commission so Petes split was $4200. My (not first but just one I did) episode was a home tour of a 1.4 million dollar home in Margaritaville and it did about 7k views and Pete deemed it a huge failure and I got yelled at because ONE person in the comments said the house was too expensive and that I shouldn't show expensive homes like that. Someone called me and bought that house with me as their realtor from those 7k people. That was a 3% commission so Pete took home $21,000 from that videos existence. Plus we got other people who reached out about Margaritaville and I sold 3 of those people townhomes around 400,000 each as new builds and those were 7% commission to the realtor, so that was an additional $42,000 for him (which he won't even get now because he sold his half of the company and didn't retroactive things under contract, so Ruben gets the 42k part now). His video made him $4200, mine made him $63,000, but mine didn't get as many views so it was a bad decision.

The travel agency makes a lot of money based on volume, but it also has to pay for everything. Everyone's salary comes out of that, plus the commission for the agents themselves. Moving To Orlando had very little overhead cost and it was a mistake that he didn't put more effort into that product because it actually reached a new audience that didn't know the DIS and it made so much money for so little direct costs. Im making my videos right now and they get a few hundred views each, which is way lower than I got with MTO, but people are still reaching out to buy houses because you only need 1 person to buy from a video for it to be worth it, so it doesn't matter as much about the views with that product compared to The DIS and Dreams because you need a ton of eyes on it to make the ad space money and to funnel people to Dreams. I think he just couldn't get past the views numbers being lower than what he wanted and he saw that as failure.

Also Pete isn't a racist, he just sucks. Nobody ever 'applied' that was of color because there were never any jobs that were advertised in any normal capacity. Everyone (except Deni) was hired in the whole time I was there based on a chance meeting a good vibes from Pete. Deni was hired in a normal way because Corey was supposed to be taking over and wanted to start having a real hiring process and that was the first time of getting to do that and he was totally over that. Pete only gave final approval, but I do not believe anyone of color even interviewed for that position.

I grew up in a very poor area and I moved to Florida to try and make a better life of some kind. I got a job at Disney and it was terrible. (theres actually a video of me discussing working at Disney and Pete made me scrap it because he said It seemed like I hated Disney and was going for them too hard - ironic right?) I made $7.83 per hour but it was my dream so I did it. I lived in a terrible motel on 192 called 'Home Sweet Home' that ended up getting shut down because one of the rooms exploded from a meth lab mistake and its all I could afford because they gave cast members a discount to live there. So I lived in that hotel or if I had a late shift (extra Magic hours would go til like 2am) and then had to open the next day (be back by like 6 or 7am) I would just sleep in the cast parking lot with some of the others that had the same issue or some were just homeless and lived in their car and would get a gym membership to have a shower.

I started seeing a guy who wasn't 'out' and he was a police officer. He was drunk one night and asked me to pick him up from a bar in downtown and I did. When I got there I had 2 beers with him and drove him home. I got pulled over after dropping him off and the officer questioned me hard about 'who' I dropped off and I wouldn't say because I didn't want to out him. So they arrested me, I blew under the legal limit but they arrested me anyway. (Apparently you can be arrested at any Blood Alcohol Level, but you only lose your license if you are at or over the legal limit) I didn't lose my license or anything, but I was no call, no show for work at Disney, so that was auto firing (beyond me already having dings for being late, Im late a lot sadly). I was given 24 hours to vacate the motel because I was no longer a cast member. I was contacted by every lawyer in town saying I was in a lot of trouble and needed to prepare for court, so I hired a very expensive lawyer and maxed out my credit card doing that. Then I couldn't rent anywhere without a job, so I had to live in my car a bit there until I had some money. So it was just a long series of unfortunate events. My case was immediately thrown out in court and the officer got reprimanded (turns out he and the guy I was seeing were going for the same promotion and he wanted to 'out' him to help his own odds apparently) but that didn't get me my job back or place to live. So long story short, desperation.

I slowly started to rebuild my life and finances and I took gigs like Uber, TaskRabbit and Instacart to try and stay afloat, but the money was definitely a lot better in escorting. I paid my taxes on it so I was able to buy a house and had my proof of income. I built that business up but I didn't want to do that forever, it was just a temporary thing but then I met Pete and I spoke earlier about first meeting him and that he was very pleasant and he gave me a chance with a job, but I just quickly realized, I wasn't given a job. I was just his personal escort and I was still in the same boat I was before, just making a lot less money and now with a bunch of jewels and crap I dont even like. I was determined to try and make the DIS work in some fashion because I felt there was something good there for me but I just didn't know what exactly, just a gut feeling that I should stick with it and eventually Ill know the plan. I actually asked to start as a volunteer and I begged to not go on camera but eventually I had to step in for someone on a Tuesday show because there wasn't enough people and Pete wanted me on everything, whether I was good or not at the topic.

I actually like doing real estate but I don't like running my own business. I like having a structured day and then when Im done, to shut my brain off. The DIS and MTO (and now with having my own) it just feels like my brain is having to constantly work, even when Im not active, so business ownership isn't my strong suit but it's the cards I have right now.

When I stopped, I had to come to terms with what I had done for those years and I eventually accepted it and moved on and now I have funny stories. As far as the Pete side of things, I am not there yet with that experience and I currently feel it wasn't worth it and I wish I'd never met him. Down the road I am hoping it's just another funny story, but we will see.
Sean- thanks for sharing that very personal story. Stay positive. You are young and have so much more to do. So many more great experiences ahead of you. Your past is just that. In the past. Leave it there. It sounds like you are well on your way. Pete will not only be a funny story one day, he will be a hysterical story…one that you survived and became a stronger, better person. My respect for you has grown with each posting you have left here. Thanks again for being open, honest and self reflective. I hope you and your husband have a wonderful holiday. I’ll be in the parks with my family for Christmas time and hopefully I will run into you one day.

That's a whole other situation. On the Patreon show he did after the baby was born, he mentioned they are not letting anyone in the house for a few months except the grandparents and they have to wear masks. With the level of RSV/Flu/Covid, I understand being cautious for a newborn, but I have a feeling this will be a struggle for Craig and Kylie to deal with to not build a non-realistic bubble around the child. Even Ryno is not allowed to visit.
Ok…I wasn’t going to say it bc I thought it was being petty. BUT! He also said in reference to not allowing visitors, etc. that they put so much money and time and effort into conceiving that they couldn’t take any chances. Ummm…sir! People who conceive easily and naturally don’t just toss their baby around and let them lick the floor like they’re disposable. “Oops! That one died. We’ll just make another one!” I don’t know why that pissed me off, but it really did.

How about when he mentioned that the kid (not talking about a young baby here but when it grows up) will definitely not be brought to Disney? He did not want his child to like disney but the outdoors, national parks etc. Quite a shocking take for someone who is supposedly a park lover. Poor child
As though you can’t do both? You live in Orlando. Disney can be a regular thing and you go elsewhere on vacation.

Have the crew mentioned anything about the candlelight processional recently? They talked about it quite a bit maybe a month ago due to rumors of possible changes to it but it seems to have never been mentioned again?
Ryno went one night but he said he didn’t notice much of a difference. I think they talked about it this last show or the one before but only briefly.

as for Craig and the baby protectiveness, give him a break. He’s a new, hard won parent. We made our parents get their tdap shots before visiting when our son was a newborn. All the Illnesses right now are gnarly. They have every right to be protective. As for the other stuff, time will tell.

@The Mando you think this will finalize and go through? Have you ever met Gio?

I have not met Gio, but I heard many Stories from Pete. Pete said they are 'a perfect match' etc etc so hopefully that is still the case. I do imagine this would go through, it would take Gio ending it for it to stop. The only way for Pete to move past one person is to completely throw himself to the next one. When I met him he was so hung up on Dustin that he would just sob every time I would even speak to him and I think Dustin had already been gone a long time. This was in April of 2017? Y'all would know that timeline better than me with Dustin. Pete determined that our anniversary was July 1 2017 (with absolutely no consult with me) because its 'the day he fell in love with me' - despite the fact that he was still paying me by the day and I was in a relationship with someone else. I asked him at one point, 'so wait a minute, our 'anniversary' doesn't even involve me, it's just when you felt a one-sided love for me?' and he said 'yep'. So he was able to get beyond Dustin within 3 months after being heads over heels for years and spending every second wanting him back. So, I have no doubt in my mind that Pete has moved in similar fashion with Gio.

A few months back, I was in the parks and I stopped dead in my tracks because I knew Pete was near. The people I was with were like, omg do you have like a sixth sense and Im like, no, I smell him. Pete smokes so much that he has to constantly drown himself in cologne to cover the scent (which works cause he doesn't smell like cigarettes surprisingly) but he wears Le Labo - Santal 33 and it's very very strong, so I always could smell him before I ever saw him. I know the cologne well because he wore it everyday and every time we went into a designer store, the person making commission would first compliment Petes purse and then say how wonderful he smelled. Pete would reply, 'Santal 33 by Le Labo, it's the number 1 selling scent in the world right now but I've been wearing it a while now. It's getting a little trendy so I might switch'......every time. Anyway, I smelled him and then I saw him coming around a corner with Gio. So, that is the only time I've actually 'seen' Gio and of course he was carrying about 5 bags and was walking about 5 steps behind Pete.

This isn't even meant to be shady (maybe a little) but I go to the parks constantly and I know its the one place that I would never run into Pete cause he's never in the parks, so thats why it was so shocking. But then I remembered they moved the DIS event to that day so then it made sense as to why he was there like 10 minutes before park close.
