There was a time when blue and yellow were the cliché "French kitchen" colors in North America. The idea is so outdated now and it doesn't really translate for a Chateau that is actually in France. Not a fan of the color blocking either.

I know it's been said before, but they have awful taste. When Steve was asking about painting the cabinet by the fireplace and the buffet, he mentioned keeping the wood, but painting blue inlays. Horrible, terrible idea, but completely tracks with the bad design ideas they have. This entire kitchen is quite sad and that yellow is overwhelming.

That hard, fluorescent yellow needs to be toned down and only be an accent colour in the kitchen. Where do the Shrek's go for their inspiration? Why not consult Little Greene, the folks they used for the breakfast room. Also, why do they also plaster different colours in every room - their place is just as discordant as fan's, with none of the rooms flowing together.
Do they still have only one shared bathroom? I don't recall them adding a second.

That said, when the individuals are slimy, lying, animal abusing, grifting, cheating rum? Then? Well, then they’re fair game and I’ll happily heap on the insults.
