PhiPhi’s resume is “boy band” singer and actor. For some strange reason, I think Fanny has to have a gay companion nearby. Insecurity, Anxiety? And as a she result needs constant affirmation? I don’t know. But, originally her close companion on the vlogs was Michael Petherick. They pretended to have a “non relationship” for about a year or so. Convinced many of her subscribers they were a couple. Michael was even going to have his own room at the farmhouse…until he decided he didn’t want to play along anymore. Then, here comes PhiPhi. I honestly think PhiPhi, the actor, is there as Michael Petherick’s replacement. I think Fanny was content to keep their “relationship” mysterious (like she did with Michael), but PhiPhi decided he really wanted to embrace the part in public. He’s acting. I also think Fanny might have recently confided to Michael that her relationship with PhiPhi is fake…just an act…which may be why Michael has taken some shots at Chateau Diaries and also follows/comments on the parody channels “Behind the Chateau Doors,” “Chateau WrapUp,” etc. I don’t think Michael liked the fakery between himself and Fanny. And he doesn’t like the fakery between Fanny and PhiPhi (plus, he’s probably as annoyed with PhiPhi as the rest of us are). Maybe we’d be more open to the fake relationship if PhiPhi was more likable. But, just as everything else he does at the farmhouse, he’s failing at this acting role. That’s what Fanny gets for hiring cheap actors!

You are so right - she does have precedence of this kind of behaviour. Contrary to what I said last week - I actually think Petherick still may have a fondness towards Our Lady Dame Fanny Four Flues, Mother of Perpetual Chaos because we know MP is fine with taking potshots at Brenda Gibbons and similar characters. He hasn’t done that towards SJ - as far as I’m aware. I think his gripe is actually directed towards Phyllis. The animosity between the two at the HMN and in Paris was so telling. Something has happened between them, which has caused great vexation. The dynamic between Michael and Stephanie was much more joyful and energetic, now with just Phyllis in the picture everything is lethargic, just like his hair condition. I’ll say it again - Phyllis is not porking Stephanie - I’ll need an OF tape to prove otherwise. It’s just physically impossible - he’s an outright backdoor bandit. We all know, as does Stephanie. That toile bed is home to only one Queen,…. and it’s Stephanie. I wish Phyllis would make like his hairline and recede.

So Gwen must’ve turned off the tap for the convent project. Billy’s claiming it’s too hard to do weekly vlogs and he needs to return to dailies. I call bullshit. It’s too big a loss of income. Still showing that he’s not above a clickbaity title, too. As has been pointed out his Patreon numbers are pretty pitiful. Especially when compared to his YouTube subscribers and views. Obviously he needs the sponsorship and AdSense income.

Why is Snorty dressed for winter and Fanny is simply wearing a dress for their fake romantic romp through the bluebells?
Did Snorty need all those layers of protection from Fanny?
No that scarf is stuck around his neck with the wallpaper paste.

Cheap skate Annie here. I can't tell the difference between good champagne and cheap fizz. It's one of the problems of having grown up in Somerset cider country, my palate has been ruined by scrumpy cider, brewed on the farm.
My preferred choice, Fanny are you reading, is Lidl 's cheap'n'cheerful sparkling. It's getting expensive at €1.99 a bottle... mix it with creme de cassis (Fanny, use blackcurrant syrup, no one will notice , they're all plebs..)

More helpful tips and advice to follow on how to fleece your loyal subjects out of their euros.

Waitwaitwaitwaitwait! Is that bathtub up on blocks?!? Like a broken down Ford Fiesta in a trailer park yard?!? I knew Staph was déclassé but that takes the cake!(biscuit for you overseas tattlers)
It is and didn't good ole Kev put a base board around it. Where is Kev, haven't seen him for ages.

Ooooo, Veuve Amiot looks lovely. My experience with champers and other fizzes is the more expensive, the less I like it. Is there a particular one you like of theirs? If I can’t order it online my local wine merchant will try and get it for me.
Every time we've taken friends to Veuve Amiot, done the degustation, got pissed (or should I be a lady and say slightly tipsy) and left with several cases. The last time we went, which admittedly was a fair few years back our combined order came out on a bloody trolley. They do a wonderful sparkling red. Unless it's changed (like the visit for Cointreau did) if you're ever in Saumur the tour of the wine caves which run under the city is well worth it.

I don't recall seeing any pink in the bluebell forest.
Nice wallpaper, but the pink background and a mural design were wrong for that bathroom.
Fanny is particularly adept at wasting money installing nice wallpaper in wrong places.
The Germoline-with-anæmia pink background kills the bluebells. It actually looks dirty. The white background version is (in my opinion - these things are subjective and then some!) rather lovely. The colour of curtains add to the visual massacre - and, anyway, they’re quite the wrong sort of curtaining for the bathroom window, with acres of grandiose fabric on one side butting up to the end of the bath.

Havng a chair/dado rail with a painted area - wither the panelling?! - beneath adds another element of aesthetic chaos. A picture rail? Why? Painted above or will elaborate and wholly inappropriate cornicing enter the equation? Whatever, it will make room top heavy and detract from the bluebell design - a design which has lost much of its quite delicate look because one is is not seeing it in its entirety.

One assumes there will be a splash back above the bath. Please, please don’t let it be any of the absolutely hideous germolene metro tiles that might have been left over from the birdcage shower room.

Stephanie is useless at putting together a room. She has zero understanding of proportions, zero feel for how different elements in a room should meld together, zero grasp of how colours work, zero grasp of balance, zero feel for dressing a room and placing furniture, pictures, wall lights/sconces and mirrors (don’t get started on trumeaux or straightforward over mantle mirrors). Chuck everything at a room, with no though of cohesion. Essentially, she has no taste and absolutely no design sense. The whole house is a grostesque cartoon. Hogarth at Disneyland.

While I think about it, I hope Maria reins in her creative juices and doesn’t repeat the “potato” pudding or try anything else on those lines. Those illusion extravaganzas can be both a surprise and a delight, but they have to be done to perfection. It’s a real skill. Hugely time-consuming. Done not-so-well, they resemble an entry in a clay modelling class at a village fete (the classes for children).

Incidentally, it’s asparagus season. One of the highlights of the culinary year. The local markets and farm shops around where I live are awash with it. I’m sure it’s the same in the area surrounding the crumbling heap, Ring the changes and have asparagus as a starter - anything other than variations on a theme involving goats cheese.

They would certainly advise Fanny to stop bleaching her hair too.
My aunt was one. A fascinating career. She often represented big shampoo brands …. and travelled a lot!

Personally I prefer Mousseaux (sparkling wine) over Champers any day. Here in the Vendee the Domaine Mercier in Vix www.mercier-vins.com, fizz is very very nice. Biased I know.

She's probably sending it to a friend, 'I paid 50 euros for this, they're haveing a laugh'. Well that's what I'd be doing. ha ha cod piece.

Talking about sconces , phi phi has pinched the falling down salon ones and put them in the Bon mamma Mia room.
He is not only ruining every room that is being renovated but ruining the ones that had been done by fleecing them of a myriad of items. Is it deliberate sabotage?
If Fanny thinks sprout pastas is acceptable the bar is pretty low!

I was thinking she should have just used her iron with the sheets on the bed, like they do in Below the Deck..LOL..

It’s impossible to look at that appalling “mantlescape” without shuddering! There is nothing to commend it.

I wish it was an elaborate form of sabotage. However, I suspect it’s the prancing twerp taking over and imposing his ideas. Marking his territory. Like a Tom cat.

Unfortunately it’ll have to be a bucket list item as they do not ship to the USA in any way, shape or form. But something delightful to look forward to!

Yer yer yer cheeky. I’ll have you know she is a Christie’s tastemaker no less. Admired and revered by all who are colourblind and also have unfortunately lost any sense of taste they were born with.

Lidl Prosecco, very nice! Oooo Somerset Cider lovel stuff. The Cider over here is only 4% if you're lucky, still very drinkable though. Champers is overrated IMO. I had a Kir on Saturday evening with Creme de Cerise, made a change.

Oh that's a shame as the Premier Cru (as Mr Spratt reminded me) is also very good. The one from our region isn't bad though Fleur de Lys from Mercier. Or you could try for Ackerman or Gratien Meyer, all down the same street as Veuve Amiot.
