At this time she was already starting to spout the narrative of having trouble affording food and reno work and at one point filming herself using iron on patches to fix moth holes in clothing. As I have grown up in a household with little money (think hardly enough for food...), my radar straight away zeroed in on the discrepancies in her stories about her finances. Whereas I would not recognise expensive fabric if it would hit me in the face, I do know that if money is tight you sure as hell can't afford to travel!
Btw, I'm very tired so I might just be imagining things. But are you guys also noticing something about the video publishing dates compared to the video numbering??
As we already know she is used to going to her London apartment every month. In the Chateau Diaries 22, 42, 59, 66 (may 2019), 91, 102 (feb 2020) she is in London or travelling to/from London.

I believe that, if you look back over the videos the amount of money it takes to supply food and drink to all her friends that stay no wonder the b&b never made a profit, I think re covid visitors she puts them down as working contacts eg creepy davey, hash garden designer and interior designers visiting doing work

Yes partly. The timeline is important because it sets the date parameters for any inspection reports. I think folks on here are interested for various reasons, as Princess has alluded to. Were they just granny farming for excess profits or did they run a decent establishment? Did they actually make lots of money out of it, and was that what enabled the purchase of the London flats and the chateau and the SA house and all the stuff Derek bought SJ etc. Does any story that gets uncovered fit with SJ's version of events?

I've said before IJ is cold but not dumb. They may have ran an above board facility but then maybe not...also I find it interesting that IJ tries to appear as being concerned about volunteers, I believe her concern is more about protecting herself from future legal problems

I’ve been watching your videos since the beginning and have never commented before. As a former necessary recipient of charity, I was appalled by the video of the scholarship winner. The questions she was asked and the things she was as good as forced to say were all designed to get her to say how utterly grateful she should be that you and Villoti have pulled her out of the life of misery that was the best her family could provide but was clearly substandard to all the privileged people sitting around, deciding the gift. It made me feel slightly sick to watch it. That poor girl. You should all be ashamed. And have a bit more sensitivity. You are not the great white benefactors coming to save people. You’re just funding her through her fashion education. With other people’s generosity.

SJ says that Isobelle was a Matron / senior Nursing Officer and someone else has said that Derek was a hospital administrator in Scotland. (Possibly Gartnavel?). They would have both had well paying jobs but enough to have afforded Cransford Hall and renovate it? Possibly. By the time they had sold the Granny Farm in Suffolk, they had certainly made enough to invest in several properties - Suffolk, London, South Africa and Lalande, plus enough disposable income for Derek to have indulged SJ's whims. I suspect that he may have also invested in or maybe financed Gerry's business in 2003. Could this have been when they sold the Granny Farm? A year later SJ bought Lalande., which may have been "her share." SJ refers in a recent vlog to "her inheritance money". Maybe they sold a house for an apartment which IJ has retained, and the addition funds used for the repairs she claims to have carried out. Derek died in 2009 so a fairly short window

Not sure about them selling the granny farm in 2003. There were different proprietors at Cransford from at least 1998 according to the Daily Express article. Does the word proprietor just relate to who ran the business and Jarvis's still owned the property? I took it to mean the new people owned and ran the whole shebang.
SJ announce purchased chateau 890euro 15 years ago with nl, 445e each she also bought one bed flat, so the flat she sold must of been a pad to sell 15 years ago for at least 800£
