I whole heartedly agree that starting on a smaller project makes more sense. If you Google "marine fabric suppliers", there are many that come up and good deals can be found on their remnants (which usually range from 1 yard- to 10 yards.) You definitely can do it- I suspect you probably have much more patience than me! Thank you for the kind words- we've got some maintenance and remodeling projects lined up for later this year, so I'll def post a few picts when they are underway. (I should invite Philipp of the Fleuries to change out the sanitation hoses and take apart a macerator pump- it may change his mind of wanting a sailboat!) We DO keep laminated chart books aboard in the nav station, along with a back-up hand-held chart plotter. LOL, you are not alone- I have a bunch of beautiful paper ones in my office that I also plan on framing- I just don't know where I would put them! I really like your style- you have great taste in colours, and your home is going to be gorgeous! If ever you find yourself down in SW Florida, give me a shout out, and I'll take you for a sail (so long as the boat is not on the hard for bottom paint, or when the galley is in a million pieces.) Being out on the water (especially sailing- there is something indescribable about being on a really good run with your main and genny perfectly adjusted and the only sound is the wind, waves, and boat gliding through the drink) is my happy place, and I suspect yours as well. (I'll leave the accidental gybes, powerboat wakes, avoiding shallows, and pop-up afternoon storms out of the happy thoughts! LOL!) I am glad you were able to get some sleep! Many short-armed hugs!

I’ve often thought the same especially when I use to watch programs like escape to the sun. Why would you uproot your children like that, terribly selfish and why do people in mid life want so much quiet, sounds boring. There was another uk program where the host tried to help hapless folks that bought property overseas it was mind boggling the crazy problems, one couple thought they were buying a cave dwelling and had literally bought a hole under a subdivision in Spain

I saw that episode about the cave in Spain. Boy, did they walk into a mess! Our most recent move was from a rural setting to an urban setting because I didn't want to be isolated in my retirement. I didn't want to have to drive to do everything and anything. Now we are making friends in the apartment building we live in and can walk to conveniences and other people's homes we have met in the neighborhood. If I want to be around people, all I have to do is go out the door and into the coffee shop. My parents made the mistake of moving into a gated over 55 housing development. What a ghost town! No thank you.

Sometimes they just drop out especially if they aren’t dependent on the revenue, we really liked Romantic French Life, but the lady was having some health problems and they haven’t vlogged in months, they did a stint of slavery at LieLande, cooking a huge dinner for 8 people after a long flight from New Zealand

I don't know the answer to your question -- but Budo is a master builder restoring a humble old farmhouse in Normandie -- he just gave a huge lecture on concrete and damp in re the porch he's building and the living room he's excavating (dirt floor). What layers required in France and breathable walls are answers you will certainly get at French Farmhouse Diaries.

PhiPhimodo tries to say construct ~ "Gender is a social construct". But PhiPhimodo's accent makes it sound like constrait.
No matter how PhiPhimodo pronounces it, PhiPhimodo is just plain unintelligent. LOL.
I know a lot of het women who find gay porn the only flavor which turns them on (straight men love girl on girl stuff too). I have to say even with this advantage, PhiPhimodo is one of the most unattractive, unsexy people I've ever seen. The unintel surely contributes to the flatline.

I'm so sorry... I think you're absolutely right, they wait not to upset you, I remember my sister saying my dad wouldn't let go, she finally told him it was okay, he can go now, we all loved him etc... and he died within minutes...
