I hear you, loud and clear and have experienced much along the same lines as you.I don't quite know when it became a "society of grifters", but YouTube and Patreon have segued so many into this lifestyle. Don't even get me started on "Influencers"- too many people thought this was a valid career path vice actually learning a skill or using a degree for something tangible, hard work, making a career, yet instead- "I'll be an internet sensation!" Fanny is a child-woman- she's never worked a real job in her life (which is really sad, as she is near 50), and has zero life skills. There are many people like Fanny, unfortunately- we've had the issue in FL where during the pandemic, people did not want to work as unemployment paid better (and they could get free food from the food bank), and those of us who had jobs/pensions we earned had to foot the bill in our taxes for the grifters. Once the dole benefits ran their course, they did not want to go back to work, as they felt their skills were "undervalued" (because their previous career of burger flipping made them incredibly valuable members of society- did they use the money and time off to get a degree in anything? No, but they're the first to tell you about the latest TikTok videos from their newest iPhone while they are still living with their parents... SMH.) Sadly, our food banks are now stretched thin, as "those who don't" feel entitled to it, those who can donate (like myself) find themselves being a lot more conservative as our own budgets are tightened (and let's be honest, many are jaded by the freeloaders), and those who actually NEED it can't always get the help they truly need. It is really a sad state.
This woman is completely out of touch as the world is going into shambles and the fuel price are going up, she didn't think that heating is a must and couldn't be compromise (as the rest of the patreon's already voted for it). Yes I love beautiful things but if there is things that are more important than luxuries and wants, you shall make the sacrifice for not just the welfare of everybody around you but also yourself!Well that Ms. Lazenby has a mouth on her....

You said in a previous reply that your big projects this year were the Grand Salon and the garden but what about your heating? The last we saw were water leaks all over the Chateau and you and Amaury working out the sizes of new radiators. You said then that this was the year of the heating.

We’re still collecting heating quotes, so we’re aiming for completion in time for winter 2023/24But we Lalanders are a hardy bunch - and we have the added joy of knowing that this winter should be our last cold one! Also, as the new rooms are completed (Marquis’s salon and grand salon), the final heating pipes and radiators are being installed.

@The Chateau Diaries On Patreon, you asked us if we thought heating or the façade ought to come first for this year. I voted with the majority for the heating to be replaced. From this response, you're now changing the time frame to next year; it doesn't seem right to me for us patrons not to be notified. I'm also keen to see the accounts of 2020 and 2021 be published asap from the accountants please. Transparency is important to charity.

Indeed, I just notice it a few weeks ago. As before Michael mentioned this "hate site". I just go on and see the Patreon page to see what video the Patreon gets for that week and dreaming (cringe) if i could join in and spend 5 euros each month (that's a average pay for a day or two here in my country) and i see that video that has a title of "Visiting my Favorite Antique store' or something and that's how iremeber that video.Oh, that is sneaky.
so True...also the fact that having a heap like that is almost impossible to heat...it was never designed to stay there in winter.. It has to many meters roofspace .it isnt compact..thats a huge problem with not isulated roof to begin with...her windows and doors are in a very bad state..so all the warmth will go out in no time..They originally installed geothermal in floor heating with crap insulation in the walls... The geothermal never worked... If she had a contractor there would be a warranty unless she used a sketchy contractor...Or they did themselves... For whatever reason they never fixed it... Skankster was thinking free heat and ended up with no heat dumbass... Anyway geothermal on the low end is 54 degrees Fahrenheit... In those rooms she could get away with lower btu radiators... Davy had a plan in the garden installation to fix the geothermal... From the looks of they didn't go deep enough or far enough to get the heat exchange from the earth... I don't know how many 1st floor rooms have the geothermal in floor heating installed... It also may have broken due to freezing idk... Fixing that would mean ripping up the floors... Anyway geothermal in floor heating means smaller radiators in the rooms with it... Also means a smaller boiler... The boilers she has currently are probably sized for use with the geothermal heating... So being a cheap biatch she probably wants to use the current boilers... So she maybe waiting until next year to see if they can fix the geothermal idk... Bottom line is a smart person wouldn't be buying flowers, plants, dirt, equipment, pergolas or having Skellawhore build a pergola... She'd have his ass digging the repairs for the geothermal NOW... She's either being a scammy bitch or a dumb bitch or a combo... Either way she sucks and she lies her ass off...

Let's discuss insulation... That bull shit attic floor insulation... Not insultating the attic ceiling and no vapor barrier is going to cause condensation in the attic... Anyway if it gets really cold and she heats the house below the attic it will condensate and rain in the attic due to the heat difference... Floor will warp and buckle... Mold ... A sensible person would tackle the roof and the walls and the windos and doors first...than let a company come to do measurements to make sure the place can be heated...also in sections too...like we have..
And the most important things is...you never get a place like that comfy...not in a million years...a bit of comfy will cost her a fortune every winter...and Fanny also knows this....she isnt willing to pay a huge ammount for heating....she herself tries to escape that place as much as she can...even in summer like we see now...let alone in winter..
and yes the cold will damage her stuff...you must keep a panelled room heated for sure...but she doesnt care about that...i also wonder when that ugly panelling will be installed...my guess is never...
