@The Chateau Diaries Stephanie, Kathy didn't tell you not to accept refugees, it is clearly a necessary reality for so many displaced people. However, I too, share Kathy's concerns about your suitability, your intentions along with your ability to provide support to those in need. Your chateau is currently embroiled in a bullying scandal, as of yet unaddressed, with Natalia Oliveto being accused by Selmar for cruelty towards Tatyana, a visitor to your home. Cruelty that has rendered them both unable to return other than to collect their possessions. This doesn't strike me as being a place to provide safety to someone fleeing conflict. You have also inappropriately shared content about your employees private lives, only this week it was Dan with your patrons, when your intervention was not remotely necessary. I pray your motives aren't performative as I suspect them to be. I'm pleased to see you're opening your channel to debate instead of deleting comments that don't fit your narrative.

I've actually gained a bit of respect for him now that's he's exposed Natti

People loved Selmar when you think of the beginning ..... off he went on his bike with Diesel in the basket and he looked after the animals - feed them and tried to make a shelter for the peachicks.... far more than Fanny and her Squirrel ever did .
He was a touch ... well, a lot .... strange and mangy but it was "what you see is what you get" with him and that is ok.
He was slow to do things but ..... unlike the Squirrel - he did things that required hard work.
Not sure about Tatti but if she makes him happy......
Yeah... I respect that he outed the Nutti !!

Wow! I am stunned! I feel really sad for both of them and very surprised they were able to hide their break up for so long. Thinking back to the times Dan was at the Chateau to assist Amaury with emergencies at odd hours, the overnight drive with Amaury to London, the cooking breakfast at the Chateau and the “studio” which never quite made sense to me, but now is clearly his living/sleeping space, it all makes sense. As to the reasons behind their break-up, that’s between the two of them. Kudos to both of them for co-parenting and remaining friends.

Looks like Stephanie has found her inhouse cook and gardener. How generous of her to offer a respite for Dan - not!

I applaud @Clara for keeping this news to herself. She did exactly the right thing in keeping quiet and allowing Dan to announce this in his own time. No-one knows what goes on behind closed doors and none of us know what has contributed to this sad news. It takes two to make and to break a relationship, so it is foolish of us to speculate. It won't necessarily be one-sided although I fully understand why Annalise may not want to speak on camera. I hope that we can all leave them to sort through this for the sake of their boys. Spiteful speculation about Cat by people trying to pass themselves off as being supportive of Annalise is both cruel and unnecessary.
I have to say that there really are a couple of poisonous fairly new Tattlers who are emerging here, as other have already said. One in particular has been on my radar since they joined a short while ago, who has really crawled out of the proverbial woodpile! One to watch, I say.
I hope that Dan and Annalise can move forward now and that Dan will be able to find somewhere away from HMN. I can see why he would avail himself of the opportunity to stay close to his boys at this time. I still think that he is decent bloke who will do his best, not only for the boys but also for Annalise. I wonder if Annalise will be moving into her mum's home when it is completed?

News flash... read all about it here... its me Stephanie (could be related to Jason) yes I've dropped some hints on my own vlogs but I'm so thrilled that I can actually share the exciting (sorry sad news) that Dan & Annalise have split up... Yes I was his saving grace and offered him somewhere to rest his head at La Lande where he's been staying for 6 months..I can't believe it..I have my very own live in gardener, chef , DIY puppet, (person) as well as his best mate (my cuz ) who now has his own labourer to help with the multitude of projects that have been left unattended. This wasn't my fault, as the chapel restorer is still away with the accountant and Ian left because he had his hernia problems which had nothing to do with me tying him in knots and Selmar left because Natty bullied him but I did tell her off. He's such a silly sausage isn't he? Well I must dash as I have lots more unscrupulous deeds that need my attention.

I think it was despicable of SJ to raise questions about Dan when she wanted to know if he'd stayed overnight at the chateau. If she knew then that his relationship was on the rocks, it's even worse that she should make a joke about him. If she didn't know, it was still very wrong of her if D and A were still together then as she may have planted questions in A's head as she did with some Tattlers. That woman will do and say anything about other people and their lives on her vlogs with no regard at all for their privacy or feelings. When it comes to herself, it's a different matter, and she had the nerve to suggest she had been wronged by Channel 4 when they exposed her and Philip. She is truly dishonest; self-obsessed, and lacks any empathy for others. Despite this, the stupid fans think she's being kind because she posted a sympathetic-sounding comment and offered accommodation to Dan; she just doesn't want him to leave at the moment as she needs him to help cope with all her disasters. I think she, PJ, and Nati are awful human beings.

It's fallen apart not only for them personally but his 'brand'. I tuned in to watch him and Annalise build their home together...now that's no longer on the cards, what does he have to offer

Let's face it... having a wife and kids in tow simply doesn't suit the chateau lifestyle of endless parties, alcohol consumption, travel and dress-ups. Dan has been seduced by the entire chateau lifestyle, while his partner, with her feet firmly on the ground, has remained largely aloof from the hedonistic goings-on. She's worked hard, watched over the kids in his numerous absences, and done it all with no applause, no grandstanding, and no real support. She's watched him being pulled deeper and deeper into blot on the landscape that is de la Lande, watched as he became enamoured to a lifestyle out of his reach, probably lied endlessly about his involvement in the chateau's underbelly, and watched as he walked away from everything he'd built with her.

I say she should take him for everything he's got.

Well patrons don’t have to worry about never seeing the panelling they paid for being installed in the grand salon as they have just had the delight of seeing material stapled to a kitchen door, which SJ made sure to point out was a task that was seen through to completion. And what an arduous task that was. She also had to point out this was gifted material emphasising that so we knew it had not been thrown away or discarded as so much is.


Also at pains for us to know that they are forever going to Emmaeus with their unwanted food.

Obviously I have thoroughly misjudged them and misread their actions. They are not pathetic lying bastards but pillars of the community and their only concern is for other people not themselves.

Dan needs to get out the HMN asap. I worry about SJ's influence over him now. This explains so much about the hanging around with Amaury, these weird night time drives to the UK, visiting Venice (I thought he wanted to take Annalise there later...), and renovating the pantry without prompting. Sad business.

I admit I am a fence sitter regarding Dan. But I was hoping and rooting for him to get out of Château de Lalande, before something like this would occur.
Yes, we never know what goes on behind closed doors and Château de Lalande may not be the reason for their break up. Hindsight is 20/20.
I just hope that Dan doesn't end up as a "dead-beat" dad. Other than that I wish both him and Anneliese well, because before Stephanie Jarvis, I do think they're both good people.

NB: Anybody remember when Stephanie Jarvis, the part owner of Château de Lalande, commented about him spending all his day with Kat? When was that? Was it 6 months ago?
It surely stirred the pot.

Extra NB: I'd wish they were both in the vlog, and told this news as ex-partners. Him alone... it just doesn't feel right.

She is being showered with praise in the comments and no one is questioning her role in this. If she wanted the marriage saved, Dan should have been told there was no room at the Inn.

I feel genuinely bad for Dan and Annalise, and the boys. I was his fan. I have always seen him, as you said, as a family man, and I think he was, until, as my fiance mentioned in his post, he got drunk with his relatively successful YouTube career, and poisoned by his involvement with Lalande. We all remember the time when he would stick it up to SJ both in person and on his vlogs. Unfortunately, little by little, he drank from the cesspool of Lalande and we all saw him change, from someone who made fun of SJ's lifestyle and choices to someone who embraced it. I know Dan and Annalise are their own persons, made their own choices, and had their own lives, but I can't help but blame Stephanie for the wreck they are now in. Offering a shelter to Dan at Lalande essentially separated the couple permanently and finished that relationship. My mom always says, "Choose your friends and connections wisely." SJ, with her party lifestyle, choices, deceitfulness, and "success," corrupts and wrecks everything it touches, including that young family.

That “Support Dan and Annalise” Patreon video by her royal lowness, Stephanie Jarvis of Chateau de Lalande was so….what’s the word?….superfluous…unnecessary….pointless—-just like that tacky studio Dan built for himself! All SJ wanted to do in that Patreon video was to showcase how marvelous, awesome, kind and generous a human being she and being self-appointed queen of the Lalande cool kids, have a “say” in the matter.

Unfortunately for D and A, things will get uglier before things get pretty again, especially for D being the public face of that family. They have already lost a lot of patrons.

I said this at the end of the last thread, and I’ll say it again. Does anything good ever happen to anyone who enters the gates of that farmhouse? Is anyone left unscathed? I swear I think it’s a cursed place.

It would have been better for me to stay away, this is getting worse and worse: Stephanie Jarvis is nearly euphoric about thinking she has to report a breakup (that she maybe enabled?), having a "refugee" she can exploit for even more money, and making twee handcrafting with her scruffy enabler (sorry, soulmate). She is ignoring the Selmar vs. Nati issue and messing up the whole panelling project timeline just to be on TV. And what about the famous accounts? Why does anyone with some intellect even remain at Lalande? And why does anyone with at least one grey cell still send her money?

That cupboard would have been greatly improved as tattlers have pointed out numerous times if washed the damn thing! Afterwards add some paint but no she has to put her pretty fabric on the door to house only a few gadgets.

Can you imagine how unhygienic that material will become? It will never be taken down and washed! In particular, the one she made for the herbs and spice jars must be rank. I can imagine when people are in the middle of cooking, they will go to get a jar without washing their hands. Remember when she was rubbing salt and spices on that piece of pork and then opened jars and touched other things without washing her hands. That material container thing will be crawling with bacteria and would never pass any health and safety inspections. She is an idiot.
