My every day Is now discontinued. It is white...Athena by Johnson Brothers My weekend, dinner, entertaining, special occasion is Greenwich by Minton. Also discontinued. I was surprised to see it some time ago in an ad for Downton Abbey....in a dining table setting! Probably will start using it for everyday. Why own it, and not use it?!Ohh how lovely! Those platters are gorgeous! My day to day plates are a pink set of Johnson Brothers for Laura Ashley petite fleur pattern mixed with a bunch of Dansk cafe blanc as well. Since it's just me, I'm not fussy about things matching. Hubs picked up the Johnson Bros. set at a yard sale for $25 incomplete. I've certainly gotten my use out of them. Recently I picked up a small stack of vintage Fiesta ware accent plates...they're clear glass with stripes painted in different colors on the bottom...I think they'll make nice summer dishes. Not dishwasher safe but since I'm the dishwasher, no biggie. I've got some bits of Spode, but picked them up at thrifts & auctions years ago, some even before the advent of YouTube.
how can there be any friendship when they only just met in person recently in Italy with the snorter? SJ said she got to know Curtis on the internet or whatever. By the way, I am a Greektologist as I love the place, know a lot about it and worked as a courier there in the Ionian Islands for two seasons. So, I am not a film maker, but a film watcher and a Greektologist. So there!!i have the feeling among all the chateauvloggers there is no real friendship..they only use eachother...for their own profit..sad really..

I don't think discussing money is uncouth but I agree with the second statement. I personally feel uncomfortable when people get so invested in things that they start digging stuff about "private" people. It somehow feels a bit violating. I would get it if Amoury would have his own vlog where he begs/trics money from people and uses it on shady purposes but he isn't doing that. Yes, he is playing role in her vlogs but how willingly, I would question thatGossip is Gossip...but discussing money is just uncouth (in my humble opinion). Even digging in her cousin's past business dealings was a little creepy. If you have to talk about it, you don't have it. Besides, I'm sure she pays her employees a decent salary.

So much better. Even her hair looks fuller and less fried!!!This is SJ 2 years ago when she was last in SA. She looks SO much younger. The last 2 years have really been hard on her. I wonder if some of her extra frenzy we see is a result of trying to fight the aging process and trying too hard to be upbeat and youthful / vibrant.

For starters deleting, this flog....I think Manor and Maker is a straightforward vlog of their new life in France. They are a rather dull couple but seem pleasant enough. I understand them getting stick a while back as they tried to generate interest in upcoming events at a chateau they didn't even own yet (shades of the unicorns), and for putting up critiques of local restaurants when they had only just moved into the area. But they seem willing to take criticism on board, and I'll give them a bit of rope until they start down the begging line. Sara doesn't profess to be anything but an amateur 'sewist' who is showing her learning progress online. I get the impression their making workshops were for mutual support, rather than either of them proclaiming to be expert tutors. But I do admit to fast-forwarding through the vlogs and may have missed some shady behaviour.

Naturally, discussions should be based on factual figures, but our Don Jarvis isn’t afraid to tell us how much she’s donating to charities in a roundabout way in exchange for presents sent to herself. I think it’s only right to question where Don Jarvis’s expenditure from Patreon goes, after all, it is now a charitable concern, maybe less so for the CD YouTube as she earned that. You see SJ seems to be highly motivated by money, ill-gotten or otherwise, I think it’s integral to question her at every turn. Refraining from doing so - then what’s the point in expressing any grievances with SJ’s behaviour - she’ll have got away with her misdemeanors?
I disagree with the discussing of money meaning you don’t have any. It’s a cultural barrier you’re alluding to and not one that I relate to. Free yourself from the shackles of middle class propriety - SJ has. From what I gather most people’s interest with Don Jarvis’s payroll is whether she’s following the French tax system & employment laws and less so how much each employee is receiving. Previously, it was stated how the Jarvis family abused the WorkAway scheme and it’s volunteers for a profit making business, alongside sexual misconduct. As you maybe aware, SJ is a master of pulling the wool over her superchat militia, but here we like to question. However, should you wish to turn a blind eye that is your prerogative.
When it comes to SJ and company she lies about money all of the time. She deserves to be called out for her antics. Her patreons support her lifestyle. The reason why she can't keep staff on for very long is because people get sick of it. I've got some real steals over the years at Emmaus. Pre covid, our local one used to do a twice yearly sale of jewellery that was donated I've picked up some stunning silver pieces for under a euro. Used to go every Wednesday afternoon (first day open to the public each week). I've also donated loads too! Haven't been to our local one in nearly 2 years now, don't fancy being stuck in there with loads of people at this present time though.Thank you, @Green Fairy, for providing this information re: "When in France" vlog on Emmaus! My kind of peopleDid you check out the latest video of "It's a wonderful Life" ? They had to go to the vet in a cat emercency case. Cat ok. But they came back with a 15 year old dog that was brought to the vet the day earlier to be put down. The previous owner, an old lady, had to go to the hospital. The dog had had a stroke and is "lopsided" as Anna called it. The vet didn't have the heart to put the dog down, because he wanted to live, seemed to be ok. And neither Anna nor Peter could go past it. So they took him home on a one week's trial basis to see if he was ok with all their cats.
They have my respect for such a kind offer. I'm not sure if I could have done it - having four cats, too.
well Curtis is half English half Afrikaans and the dressmaker has an Italian surname, so who knows? apparently Curtis was an only child? according to his bio.......... maybe the dressmaker is a brother from another mother.......... or a brother from another father.Could there be a connection between Spero Villioti and Curtis Ryan Woodside???
