I too think it's deliberate suicide. I've also tried looking up percentages of suicide victims who leave notes and its about 30% to 50% - depending on age, sex, demographics etc. Unlike as shown in films not everyone leaves a letter behind for their families.
So it's an open ended question as to whether it was a "cry for help" from Archie that went very wrong, or an actual suicide death.
But in the absence of a letter questions will be asked at the inquest into his mental health in the weeks prior.
As to whether Hollie answers them truthfully remains to be seen.
I would think that his teachers' and other school staff's answers will carry more weight, along with anyone who was involved with his training for gymnastics etc.

There is no evidence, anywhere, to suggest this could be MbP. I understand speculation, but this isn't always wise; an internet theory all too quickly becomes internet fact, and before you know it lives are ruined based on nothing more than a "what if".

Archie took his own life, that much we know. Whether it was a cry for help that went tragically unanswered or whether he really did mean business we don't know, but MbP doesn't fit the known circumstances by any stretch of the imagination. It just doesn't fit.

Sorry.

There are plenty posts on Archie’s social media that indicate his depressed state.
I know she can be present at the inquest and can ask questions but does she have to answer questions too?
She's a witness so I imagine she'll have to be questioned.

My personal opinion is it was deliberate suicide.
Archie knew far too much about the topic to realistically be uninformed. The fact that his favourite rapper’s uncle chose this method and ended up… well, dead, strongly suggests that he was able to understand the consequences. Not to mention Archie’s own mental state.
As he didn’t leave a note though it’s something that will never be proven. Can you imagine HoLi ‘fighting’ at, and after, the inquest if this was the finding.
No, death by misadventure it will be.

Munchausens by proxy? It’s called Factitious Disorder imposed on Another now.
Did Archie have numerous attendances and/or admissions to hospital with unexplained illnesses?
I haven’t seen any evidence of that.
It doesn’t always need that element of it. Archie and the other children have been in the papers a handful of times with ‘injuries’.

Apparently Archie had spoken to the school counsellor several times, would like to have been a fly on the wall during those sessions.

Along with the neighbour who was apparently called in to help at the scene.
Just had a quick scan of this and it appears written evidence can be used but the Coroner can ask for evidence in person, under oath, if it is deemed necessary.
The Coroner can make suggestions to implement measure to lessen the possibility of similar deaths in the future.
Should be interesting.
I sympathise with the medical professionals and others who will be dragged into this.

That t-shirt is so sad, I have an 8 year old and it wouldn't say any of those words 😔

I have an 8 year old and a 10 year old, they would never say these words either, they are loved so much, really makes me so sad why Archie felt like this💔

I disagree too. My Mum had Alzheimer’s and she all of a sudden started smoking again after 20 years or so, swore at my Dad and told him he was a horrible person and threatened to hit him over the head with a cup. She changed completely.
yes I get you, My Mum was a placid polite lady before Alzheimer's took its hold

Only a few times. I think the phone box one was more from the grifting, compo angle.
She is also a gobby, self opinionated cow who doesn’t mind shooting her mouth off without thinking about how things will look from a different perspective.

I recently attended the inquest of my beloved. Inquests are fact finding missions to find out who died, where, when and how. Witnesses can be asked questions but there's no "cross examining" like in a criminal case. None of the witnesses were required to attend the inquest but their statements were read out. The police accident investigator answered some of the family's questions during the inquest but it is not permitted to be done in an adversarial way.
The police investigators believed it to be suicide (he wrote some very dark and horrible stuff on social media then drove the wrong way up a dual carriageway on his motorbike and collided head on with an Audi. Audi driver walked away unscathed, thank God.) but due to his mother point blank refusing to believe her son would take his life we the family presented a very comprehensive case to show that it was most likely an accident (missing road signs, he wasn't familiar with area etc). The verdict returned was death by road accident.
The burden of proof is different to a criminal case where it's beyond reasonable doubt. The standard in inquests is "on the balance of all probabilities."

Christ, she has no shame. He’s not even in the ground yet.
Why are they crawling up her a?
The main problem with these programme makers and tv presenters is that they are puppets on strings, they have no real idea of what goes on in the real world. They live in a bubble and they obviously think that HD is the best thing since sliced bread.

Remember little 6 yr old Ellie Butler? Both her parents appeared on This Morning a couple of times as if they were two celebrities. Her father, Ben, a man with a history of violence, is now banged up in prison convicted of her murder. Her mother covered up for him even during their TM appearances and she received a 42 month sentence.

Altho this was an entirely different scenario from Archie’s I was using the above as an example of how these programmes makers can get sucked in.

It's all about money. Who can get there first and get the big bucks. ITV, BBC or any other they all have big chequebooks.

Well said.

I feel like we really need to steer away from hearsay. We've got enough trouble with Hollie's constant reinterpretation without gossip muddying the waters.

She'd be right. This made me think of my childhood home. Stressed and under high expectations is a perfect descriptor.
Well, my parents must have been doing the right thing as there were always toys lying about. We did get dirty though, that's part of playing outdoors, catching tadpoles, picking blackberries, and all the other things children will do.

I haven’t seen any evidence of that.
I agree, I'm sure taking his own life was deliberate. But I don't think the coroner will be able say so, so they will have to declare misadventure.
My friend's teen brother very deliberately took his life by hanging, he was known to have depression, but it was concluded to be misadventure. Perhaps because he didn't leave a note.

Very sad. Often newspapers don’t report suicide either, unless there is something more contentious or newsworthy. They say ‘no suspicious circumstances.

I don’t think, adult or children, they can ever call if suicide unless they know 100% eg note or witness
