She is totally unrelatable to her viewers. I doubt even 5% could afford to buy what she does? Who is she making content for?

She is nice and inoffensive and all that but she's bad at her job, she's a content creator but her content is tone deaf, boring and repetitive. Lockdown has shown how dull and unimaginative she is.

Lockdown has really shown that a lot of media professionals are not actually creative at all. Anna is one of them. She is incredibly dull. Baking, skincare, wardrobe, organisation on repeat. Nothing new or inspiring. No initiative. No fun. She isn't even real life - we never see her moan (everyone moans at times), no mess, no clutter. Even though she said she didn't want to talk about corona, her not mentioning anything about it is bizarre. It's like in her bubble it isn't happening. I can't relate to her at all anymore.

new poster 👋 its such a relief to find this forum of likeminded people. I used to watch Anna’s videos but unsubscribed about a year ago, maybe a little longer. I used to really enjoy her content but she really has not had an original thought in years.

I think I stopped watching when she was trying to be Lizzy Hadfield a few years ago. She would literally go out and buy everything she saw her wearing. I check back every now and then to see but it seems she just getting worse and worse!

Some of the stuff she ”styles” together is just so tone deaf. She looked so much better when she wore simple, slick outfits.

Also I don’t know if it’s been mentioned before but does it really wind anyone else up that she titles her vlogs “a day in the life”? It’s so pretentious.

Hahahahaha! I just can’t with this woman anymore! What is this utter shite?! This isn’t a recipe. I can’t believe anyone would ask for this. Only an utter moron wouldn’t know how to make a basic crumble. She’s literally telling people to put cooked fruit in the bottom of a dish, sprinkle oats on top and bung it on the oven. “No quantity- just make it taste yum.” Utter, utter crap content.
HAHAH babe, wrong thread, this is Anna's - i mean although they are identical, same same boring

I get the prices of things are all relative to our circumstances, but she's gifted so much expensive stuff she has no idea how people who have to pay for it all function.

People born into money!

I have seen some articles talking about young women going into serious credit card debts, all because thy wanted to buy luxury items to showcase a luxe lifestyle on Instagram hoping to become famous.

A lot of influencers are going to have a difficult time adjusting to the situation we are in right now, they themselves cant afford all the things they are pushing. We have to remember that only few of them that have made Zoella kind of money.
Exactly. It's worrying how quickly lots of influencers are pushing Klarna Buy Now Pay Later.

The pj's are 500 pounds. I'm gobsmacked. She's so out of touch. Even if they are gifted, which she hadn't declared it's disgusting.

For someone who spends (or is sent and uses) such expensive, high end skincare and makeup, her skin doesn’t look that great. She doesn’t have ‘bad’ skin at all but it just looks dull, caked in makeup and a bit greasy (nothing wrong with a little power)... not a great advert for beauty products. You’d think she’d be glowing given the price of the stuff she uses.

It’s a podcast - basically recording what they do in their ig live on a Saturday. You can monetise podcasts and not ig lives 🙃

Ah yes
Relatable Anna who can’t isn’t sure if she bought a 400 quid led face mask Or if it was sent to her
Relatable Anna who gets sent all this lovely Pr from brands when the rest of us have to buy all these things
Oh but she talks a lot about how hairy and sweaty she is ... I can relate to that part so much (sarcasm btw )

My issue with Anna is that she tries to come off as an expert on things that can be found with a simple Google search or someone else has already done it, usually better. I checked out her book from the library and paged through it. All of her advice is really common sense or easily searchable. I'm not going to go to some influencer for financial advice, I'll go to Suze Ormand. If I want help with a capsule wardrobe, I'll look for people who ACTUALLY have a capsule wardrobe. Her shtick definitely works for her though - she's basic, inoffensive, straight-sized, has a doting husband, reserved. I get the impression she likes what she does, as opposed to Lily who you can just tell is not in it anymore. I appreciate that her aesthetic is organized and she has a defined scope. She tries to be unconventional with her fashion and makeup choices, but then just kind of ends up looking like a try-hard. I kind of feel for her because now that she's done the book, what else is there to do? Her interior design is West Elm level basic, her sartorial choices are unoriginal and her recipes are all taken from Bon Appetit or someone else's cookbook. When she and Mark travel on their own dime she doesn't really talk about it aside from city guides that lean toward touristy. I do think she's going to try to publish a cookbook, but she doesn't create her own recipes so unless she puts in some work or has someone do it for her, I don't see it being successful.

It wasn’t clear to me if the £324 includes the price of items she’s gotten for free? She said “I’ve tallied everything because it feels like cheating to not include gifted pieces”. What does that mean? Is she telling us how much she actually spent or the market value of all the clothing she’s acquired? In any case, fully agree that all the spending doesn’t really show, as in, she always looks the same.
I don’t follow her too regularly so I’m also confused: I’ve seen many posts about how she does a capsule wardrobe, so how does all this shopping fit in with that? Doesn’t seem to make any sense, does it?

I’m so glad I’m not alone with the mark creepiness vibes 😆

i can picture Anna in five years, sitting at her makeup station trying out a new £290 quid eye cream whilst telling a vlog about pasta sauce (or something equally boring....)

and in the background, holding a sheep’s kidney in a soda bread tin (or something equally creepy...)
behind a white company curtain...will be mark.

Why did he go out? She never said? He now works for her so I’m not sure where he would have gone that she wouldn’t have wanted to say where’d gone
for....the sheep’s kidney, or flour 😐
