I’m not wound up. Just think it’s pathetic that the pair of you lied about something so stupid and that you felt it was so important that you posted on here about it….
LOL! I thought you were joking but you are really invested aren’t you?! 🤣

I think there’s some confusion here. As you can see from my original post, I just asked what other people would do in that comical situation. I’m sorry it’s triggered you so much! Are you always so serious?

Are you always such a pathetic baby who can’t tell her mother in law you already bought a kitchen appliance?

I do love the warmth and cheeriness that summer brings but I loathe all the bugs! (Or, more specifically, their bites). I get eaten by everything going, despite spraying insect repellent on every morning and night. As well as the usual mosquito bites (my arms look like someone's been using them for target practice), I managed to get bitten by a spider last night while sleeping - I found it, dead, in my sheets this morning, and my leg has swelled and is making me feel queasy. I've cleaned the wound, disinfected it, and am now waiting to see if it improves ...

You are making a bit much of this and not everyone is the same. OP already said before she could say anything her partner was making extravagant thanks yous to his parents. so properly felt the moment was lost.

Ouch! be careful last year seemed to be full of people getting spider bites that got infected. try a bicarb paste and leave for a number of hours as it has to dry out then any good honey and garlic blitz together and paint it on .

for things like this I have a raw honey and garlic solution in my fridge . Also I have one of those blackhead removers to suck out poisons. , before I got that I made the paste of bicarb of soda with a tiny bit of water and spread that over and leave it to draw out the poisons then put the honey etc on it.

Hopefully it wont get ny worse. but if it does get to the Dr right away.

So I've just tested positive for Covid 🙈 gutted isn't the word! As I understand it a LFT is all I need for confirmation, I don't need a PCR? But I do need at least 2 LFT on Day 5/6. I have enough LFT for this, but not if it goes on any longer. But where do I get extra LFT from?! They are not available online, and they are rarer than hen's teeth at the local pharmacies (which I can't get to myself). How do they expect us to do LFTs if they aren't making them available?!

I don't think you're required to test come Friday .

How unlucky ,hopefully they’ll let you change the booking.

I have just ripped a few little holes in my kitchen floor dragging my old sofa out 😫😫 it’s Lino, is there any way of fixing it?! I can get new flooring but not for a few months, I break at least one thing a day at the moment 😅
Put a mat over it 🤷‍♀️

In theory they will, but the only alternative date we can do is the week after and they won't let you travel if you've had covid within 14 days of travel😕 looks like we'll have to cancel completely 🙁

Colour it in a similar colour ? Maybe there’s flooring repair kits on eBay?
Thank you I’ll have a look! I’ve seen people use some crayon wax stuff before but that was on wooden floor but hopefully will work on Lino too! X

Does anyone have any tips for settling into a new job? I’m really enjoying it so far but starting to feel a little overwhelmed as obviously being new, I’m still learning all the routines and how things are done. I’ve learnt things pretty quickly so far, but have been picked up on a few minor mistakes today which although my boss was really nice about it, it has knocked my confidence a bit and I’m doubting myself, I think it’s my anxiety. I know starting a new job is difficult, I want to keep a positive mind set and not let my personal issues ruin this for me, it’s only been a week so I guess I need to not be so hard on myself. It’s gone a lot better than I originally imagined.
