Would you guys encourage swimming lessons for an adult who never learnt how to swim?

It’s the waking up early (anything before 12am) my 19 year old sister has the biggest trouble with and the reason she doesn’t want to go. Don’t know if i should keep bugging her about sessions whilst she still has a break from uni or let it drop.

We just have the traditional fan tail goldfishes.

Never had babies so they must all be boys.
Learning to swim could save your life one day. Everyone should have basic swimming skills. I would strongly encourage her to go

I am booked for a bikini wax tomorrow but I’m on my period. Can I still go?!
Not sure if you are the same but for me after a shower mines is always super super light even if its been heavy, normally I take a shower before bed but if am worried about going to somthing an being heavy then I take a shower before it

I wouldn’t go. The only reason being that, that whole area is really sensitive during my period.
But out of courtesy I would also ask the person doing the waxing. Not all beauticians would want to do it

Mine said it’s fine to do but have to wear a tampon but she did say it can be more sensitive, I’ve always rearranged mainly because I don’t use tampons 🫣

A lot of wax specialists are ok with this so don’t worry. Just wear a tampon and you can proceed as normal. You might want to take a couple of painkillers before you go as the area may be a bit more sensitive at that time of the month

Random, possibly stupid, question: I need to replace my electric shower, pretty much like for like. The electric is there, the water is there, so really just swapping one for another. Do I need to find an electrician for this, or a plumber?

(any recommendations for electric showers gratefully received before I just take an uneducated punt on one!)

I've always got a plumber to swap mine. Brand wise I have Triton's (currently and previously) and I've always been happy with them. They do silver as well as white ones.

This isn’t a problem, more of a question. I’d like to hire someone to build me a new front door step - remove the old stones and put something new in. But who does this? 😂

A general builder? A stonemason? A bricklayer!? 🧐

I always go to my 'general builder' with what I want and if he can't do it he tells me the number of someone who can!! But in general he can do stuff like that so a regular builder should be fine...

Someone who does driveways would be my first thought. I'd imagine a general builder would be able to sort it too.

Fake tan and massages.

I can't possibly go on my single trip next week without a tan and I hate the instant tan (also can't bring more than 100mls in my carry-on) - I want to book a deep muscle massage for when I'm there. Is it ok to put on fake tan (Bondi Sands) the night or 2 nights before? Or is it just not worth my while? I haven't had a massage in years.

I'd think the oils they use in the massage would make the tan run an end up all over their hands, is it not possible getting the tan after the massage?

I used to get fake tans for performing an competitions an I was told to be careful what I used so it didn't run an also use plain soap to wash so it stayed for longer

Had a feeling that would be the answer :( Hotel I'm staying out isn't close to shops and I can't bring tan in my travel carry on. It's fine I'll forego the massage 🤣

Crazy lady! I'd rather have the massage than the tan! Who knows they might throw in a cheeky happy ending ;) 😂

Go for a Thai massage. I started out with them first as I wasn't comfortable being undressed. You're fully clothed and there's no oil so your tan won't be affected.
