Yes but you still have to pay the line rental fee, from memory i think it’s £17 per month. We don’t have a landline phone so just pay the line rental fee in with our broadband. I think a lot of people do that nowadays as every one has mobile phones, we’ve done it for years
That must be what I pay for as well, line rental, as I don't have a home phone. Its just a bit confusing. I should have a look at a recent bill. I don't think it's right though that they charge me for bt sport though which I don't want. I told them before but obv they didn't change it.

You should be able to get your money back on sport if its a extra, did you state on the phone you didn't want it? I'd phone them back an request a refund for it

I had a fight with bt ages ago, they had me paying for super fibre optic that they talked me into buying because I wanted that, but then I noticed a guy in the street putting wires down for it an he explained to me that I could never have had fibre optic because the wires for it were only just going down an he didn't know what I was paying for, they tried to say on the phone that they never told me I could get super fibre optic because there was no wires an I was paying the better option for copper wires, so I told them to get that phone call looked out since they record them all an funny enough they couldn't find it despite me telling them what date an time it was (I always keep a note of date an time of recorded phone calls) so they agreed I could come out the contract with no fees if I wanted

Yes do, calls are recorded so if you requested it to be removed and they still continued to charge they should refund you for that time.

Is been years now they'd owe me a fortune. I'll have to make a point of speaking to them though as it really winds me up.

If its been years then they might turn round an say why wasn't this continuous brought up back then, they maybe will think you're at it now, am not sure how far back recorded calls go with being kept, when I phoned them it had only been a few short months, but it's definitely worth phoning them an telling them to get it off now as sports can be a expensive add on

The standard GDPR retention policy is 6 years. They might not give you it all back but they may agree to back date it to your last renewal date

Just logged into my account. Ffs over £100 for an entertainment package and I never asked for it! I'm actually raging

I'll give it a go. Though I'm not expecting anything back I just want them to stop taking money for something I never asked for :(
On the phone to them now, might take a while. If they don't sort it I'll cancel the direct debit and sign up with someone else. Enough is enough.

I have a shampoo related problem. I’ve been using ouai shampoo for around 5 months, in the beginning it made a huge difference to my hair but lately it just doesn’t lather and I’m having to shampoo twice. Sometimes after I’ve washed my hair has these patches where it’s like my hair is soaked in oil, even when my hair wasn’t that greasy before.
I washed with head and shoulders and had a lovely lather so maybe the problem is with my ouai shampoo 🙁
I completely soak my hair, I massage the scalp, I properly rinse which is everything google tell me I should be doing. Oh I only use a heat protection spray on my hair and wash every other day so I don’t think my hair is overly dirty.

I think maybe you've just got a build up from the shampoo, I'm sure it is reccomended to change every so often. Boots also do a 'build up removal' shampoo. Maybe worth a try, https://www.boots.com/boots-expert-build-up-removal-shampoo-200ml-10247057

Thanks, will see if they have it in my local one. I have a detox shampoo but that is also ouai and I still had the same problem with the lack of lather and greasy feeling.
Think I might have to permanently switch shampoos

I had this exact same problem, I started changing my shampoo every few days and now I swap between Tigi Bed Head and Tresemme. I also got quite a chunk of it cut off and it seems to have improved

a temporary switch should be fine! i definitely find that after a good while of using the same shampoo my hair seems to get used to it and doesn’t quite clean or lather the same way it used to. i jump between two different shampoos now which seems to avoid that happening.

try a new one for a bit and then give ouai another go, i definitely don’t think you would need to permanently change.

Random question but it’s stressing me out I’m currently in sick leave due to pregnancy and when my sick note runs out I have 4 weeks approved holidays and then strait onto maternity, Iv asked my work if this is ok and they keep dodging my question so is it ok? Is it allowed? I don’t want them last minute cancelling my holidays as I can’t go back to work and would have to try get in the doctors to extend my fit note.. I was also hoping for a wage boost from sick oau to holiday pay before maternity but I’m fine either way my work just isn’t very helpful with advice at all.

Another thing I’m paid monthly but was of sick for 2 weeks during my qualifying period for smp will I no longer get smp or do they add monthly wages together and divide to get the average amount?
Hoping someone can help thanks

Unless they have a policy that states otherwise then yes it is allowed. It’s a bit of an operational nightmare for them which is probably why they’re dodging answering but yes it is allowed.

Ah great thanks, they’ve been ignoring my emails for weeks but there’s no way I can go back either way

Can anyone recommend a good place to buy a sofa from? Never know whether to trust online reviews tbh and/or those who gift their products to influencers!!

I know it also gets its bad reviews but I actually really rate DFS. I think yu always just get what you pay for. I paid about £800 for a corner sofa about 7 years ago and it's still in very good condition now. I would go for a firm cushion, you think, it's going to be sat on everyday, it's gets a lot of wear and worth spending more to get something that lasts

We've had sofas from DFS. They have always lasted really well. It's just annoying they gift sofas to Hinch.

I hate this too. Its becoming increasingly hard to find companies who don't gift anything to an influencer.

Another DFS fan here. They make good stuff. It lasts and it's fashionable but not overly if that makes sense. Also the credit is a fixed rate if you went down that route. I've only ever done 'debt' (pay to own) for two things. A car and a sofa. I haven't regretted either. Just remember your to measure because they look a lot smaller in the massive showrooms and you don't want to end up with a room v sofa ratio issue 😅.
