Thank you. You’re right - Failing to fix this will certainly lead to bigger health issues in the future. Bacteria will eventually travel to other parts of the body. I need to focus on the end result.

Thank you. The thing is it’s not the procedure itself I’m afraid of. Pain etc doesn’t really scare me. The fear is related to the fact I’m engaging in another dental treatment after multiple failed ones with incompetent / shady dentists. It’s more of a trust related fear rather than a procedure related one. I just need to focus on the fact it will help me get better.
I imagine taking calming tablets would still help. It takes the edge off

guys, my washing of 4 years is acting up, the cycle starts for a few mins then machine fully shuts down.
Can you try and unplug it completely for a few hours? Like, take the plug out the socket and leave it unplugged for a few hours? Does it have a digital display that could give you an error code or something?

Thank you, it's later on today, I just don't want to be missing out questions an then the boss is like ohh did you ask this an I haven't, am going try an get some time with my boss before it to try an go over what I have but it isn't going be long I'll get as I've got a meeting right before these people come in
It would be good to get some time in with the boss or whoever will line manage this role to have a quick look at questions. Also the person who initially shortlisted these people as they may have noticed things they want you to ask. But even then it's not the end of the world if you need to contact the candidate afterwards to double check or clarify something before the final decision. You'll do great!

Any advice on prickly heat? Or that’s what I think it is…
I already take antihistamines for hay fever and my limbs are insanely itchy as soon as it gets above 22 degrees.

I think you / your friend might be confusing settlement fee with the interest?

For a 10k loan, for example, the settlement *figure* could be more than that, because of interest. A few years into the loan, it will be lower, but will still take into account interest.

Are they saying that to pay off the 10k, 4k will be added? How old is the loan? What percentage is the interest rate?
I honestly don't know, it didn't make any sense to me, I might ask her a few more questions as she's not the most savvy with money (like she thinks she's debt free but I've told her a loan is a debt)

I'm really struggling with my hormones and looking for advice on managing my emotions on the week leading up to when my period starts.

I feel like I spend 3 weeks of the month fine and then for a whole week I am fragile like a bomb and have complete meltdowns. I have gone to zero hours contract so that I can avoid working that week. When I used to work that week I would storm out of meetings, go to the toilet and cry, there is more but it's just so embarrassing!

Once I'm out of that week I always think that I wish I'd have just controlled myself! I've been to the drs before, read up on pmdd etc.

If anyone has any tips on dealing with emotions that week I would be really grateful I'm up for trying anything! I'm 42 and the dr said I'm too old for the pill (not that it ever made a difference in the past anyway).
Antihistamines the week before have been shown to help a bit. You could also ask for hrt patches. I was taking some April supplement called All The Feels, a while back, you might want to give that a go.

So ordered the sandals and they’re great for the width but sadly way too long in my usual size. So if anyone reads the thread and likes them, my suggestion would be to go down a size.
Skechers a few years ago and Skechers now are very different I’ve found. They’re huge now. I just got my kid a men’s size at Costco 7 to grow into for the next school shoe and I’m a 9 and I fit into the 7 easily. I also ordered size 8 for me and they’re women’s but way too big.

Can anyone recommend a good app that helps with dealing with anxiety etc, like Headspace, which is free?
Soulspace has an anxiety app that’s free. It might not have all the functions of headspace which I haven’t used, but my partner found it helpful.

How can I watch Tell Them You Love me in the UK without Sky?

I have Netflix and it is on Netflix in the USA, but in the UK it is only on sky documentaries.

I have a very basic package from virgin media and do not want to commit to a long contract to access sky
It’s a very long watch which could’ve been condensed into an hour. You’re not missing anything.

Does anyone know how to find this on Next’s website from the tag in store? I’ve tried all sorts of combinations of the numbers but can find anything.
It’s a 2pk unwired black and white bras.
View attachment 2957254
It's the 742 - 460 that's the product code. However, I've just done a search on the Next app for the size, black/white unwired bra 2 pack in a 36E and this product isn't one of the search results.

They could be old stock. The closest I found (without a full picture of what they look like) is code 753 878.

Those of you that have had Covid and lost their sense of taste and smell, how long did it take to come back? Did you just wait it out or do anything specific to help it? I’m just coming out of having Covid for the first time, still not feeling 100% better yet but I am really struggling with not being able to taste or smell anything at all. I’ve barely eaten or drank anything this past week due to being so unwell and now that I’m starting to feel a bit better I’m still struggling to eat because I can’t taste or smell anything. Not sure if this is something I should see the GP about?
Mine lasted about a week. I started to cry near the end saying “what’s the point of living if I can’t taste anything” 😂 Anyway apparently covid gives you low mood too

The look like water marks from someone trying to clean it, ironically 🤣🤣
Oh dear 😂
At least they’re not greasy marks though. Unless it was really expensive so worth the dry cleaning fee, in this weather I’d definitely hand wash or cold fast machine wash, machine spin and hang it out on a thick hanger.

That's not strictly true, it depends on your other risk factors. BMI, smoker etc. did they say?
There are other avenues too, HRT or suppressants.
Have you looked at PMDD? It sounds more like that.
The dr said it was my weight. I'm 5 ft 2 and 9 stone 13 so only a couple of lbs overweight. To be honest the pill never worked for it anyway, I do think it is PMDD - thank you for the link.

Agree, it's approved up to 50 years old for contraception, if other factors permit. Back when we were teens , it was til about 35. There's also the mini pill which is sometimes suitable for those who can't take the combined
I might look into the mini pill thank you.

Talking of root canals… it looks like I need my first ever one 😭😭 I’ll be getting it on the nhs. If it fails, do I have to pay for the treatment again?! And they told me I’d need a crown as well. I was porcelain as it’s on lower jaw… if the treatment fails after the crown is done, what do I do?! Pay for another crown!!? 😫😫😫
Don't you just pay once for the highest "tier" of work you have done within a certain time period? https://www.nhs.uk/nhs-services/dentists/how-much-will-i-pay-for-nhs-dental-treatment/

My birthday is coming up, am meeting some friends in London during the day, they have suggested going to a wine event but I really am not keen (I'm not really a wine drinker although they are) - should I go along even though it's not really my thing? Or if not what else can we do as they seem to want to 'do' something more than just meeting for lunch.
This is me all over btw, complain I never get invited to anything then when I do I don't want to go 😂😂

If you have netflix then use a VPN an access the USA netflix, I used one to access the USA Disney plus when I wanted programs, I used express VPN, pretty sure they offer a free trial for two weeks an you could try it out

I need some help.. I’ve been with my partner for 11 years, we have a mortgage and are expecting our first child..
‘well, in January I got a credit card and spent 2k to take us on a dream holiday.. I told him I’d saved the money, but now he’s been made redundant I can’t keep the monthly payments up… I’ve really badly messed up but not sure what to do.
I think you're just going to have to be honest with him about where the money came from. Will you be entitled to any benefits whilst he's job hunting? Did he get redundancy pay?
