What I ordered vs what arrived.

To add insult to injury, these were on print to order, I ordered on Sept 10th, it arrived Oct 11th after being told 10 working days. £55.99 with delivery I paid and it looks nothing like what I ordered!

My friend thinks I’m being dramatic and it’s not that bad, but I’m so upset and it’s been posted about a fair bit within the festival community, so I’m not the only one!

Do I have grounds for a refund/compensation here? I’m not going to be able to get the design shown it seems. I feel massively missold 💔
You should have your 14 days to return so I'd refund based on that, if it does state clearly that designs will vary then I don't think you could refund based on that as that's their loophole to send whatever, but you should have your 14 day return still there

Absolutely demand a refund. Yes, tie-dye are all different. But one is black with red and the one you got is just red with a hint of black.
I would definitwly send it back
---
Imo that is significantly not as described
Yeah I wasn’t expecting it to be the exact same as displayed in the photos. Always expect a bit of a difference with patterned clothing, but it’s nothing like what was ordered. It’s hideous and I wouldn’t wear it. I’ve tried it on and it looks awful compared to my friends black one 😔

@Tanne1999 do you think there might be two, like red on black and black on red and you’ve got the wrong one? See below. Or have they changed the images? If they have they obviously realise people are unhappy. Either way, you’re entitled to your refund.

Came to this thread few weeks ago about my electric supply tripping intermittently for the last 3/4 years. Other day it completely cut out and another house further along.
Electric company came out straight away after a brief phone call (no waiting).
There was a few of them working on it, digger there also. Transpired it was a pipe/cable just outside my garden a few feet below ground that was at fault.
They fixed it in a day and it's been fine so far :) 🤞
I should have called them years ago as I could no longer use my lights as they flickered so badly and contributed to the supply tripping and they said flickering lights would be a priority.
Oh well, I suppose the electrician who checked my home a few months back was right when he said nothing was faulty indoors.
Such a bloody relief after all this time to have a normal electric supply!

They’ve been sly and changed the website as that defo wasn’t the pic or description when I ordered. Here’s a screenshot of what I was expecting from my order confirmation x

I’d report it and ask for a refund. Yes tie dye can differ from item to item but that’s a completely different thing you’ve been given. Under the consumer rights act you’re entitled to a refund or replacement of the correct item as they’ve not sold you the product as seen and would class as false advertising. If they refuse a refund go to training standards or resolver to report them because you are entitled to your money back x

Sounds like my work 😅 am forever sending emails an never get a word back, my personal rule is if they haven't gotten back within 3 days then I chase them up telling them I hope the last email found them well, so many times I get responses back like sorry I missed it, or sorry it fell amongst other emails etc

I'd chase them up tomorrow if there's nothing by today, it could have fallen amongst others an they haven't seen it or went into their spam folder etc, if you have deadlines then you can't wait about till they can be bothered to get back, sometimes others need a reminder
OK so I emailed again today.... didn’t want to be tied to my emails (keep refreshing 🙄) so kept busy and guess what.... nothing! I even tagged the original email in the original post! It’s just pissing me off now. If you don’t know why not ask or forward the message on? I even asked and apologised and said if this isn’t something you will do can you put me in touch with the correct person. Just the lack of communication is winding me up...
I could cry. I really could. It hangs over me. I hate being left in limbo and now I feel paranoid I’ve done something wrong. (I have OCD and overthink everything)

I hope you manage to get it sorted, it's honestly my biggest hate, people never emailing back or you will be emailing back an forth an they just all of a sudden stop an you are left wondering

Is there no one else you could forward it too? Honestly it's not your fault, it happens to us all, I'd find out if there was other ways you could contact them or if there's someone else you can go too an stress that you have deadlines to meet

Hi Everyone
I'm not sure if this is the right thread for this but was just wondering if anyone has a little bit of general advice on handling a child's coat going missing/presumed stolen by the end of the school day.
I've woken up still feeling a bit churned over it (I'm now over thinking) is this something I say no more about it and chalk it down to experience as his teacher is obviously aware so am I now best to just kinda be fine about it say no more or will it come off a certain way if ask for more to maybe be done to track it down.

Does your school have an app they send messages out on? Possibly call the office and ask them to put out a message something like 'has anyone accidently picked up a blue coat with the name XXXX inside'. Hopefully people will check or you'll guilt someone in to bringing it back!. You should absolutely not be out of pocket or feel bad about enquiring.

I think we need more context. Did this happen yesterday at 3pm or last week for example? If yesterday then possibly a parent only noticed it last night or hasn’t noticed at all yet.

Your post makes it seem like this happened a few days ago and you think someone is purposefully keeping it. I’d definitely follow up with teacher once or twice more, ask what the policy is about missing items, let them know you’re presuming the item is ‘stolen’. Do kids have lockers or is it a free for all/coats left in hallways?

sorry for lack of context my son is 7 (KS2) So yesterday usual pick up teacher lets the children file out onto the yard coats already on book bags in hand etc yesterday I was asked to go in as my son was out in the corridor with the TA searching for his coat.

The coat bays (pegs) for each class run along the wall directly next to the classrooms is best way I can describe the set up
(All the other children in his class by this point had gone off with their own coats directly to their mum's) I of course asked the teacher did he come in from lunch with it on she said yes definitely and it was hung up,
she was pretty matter of fact about it but we were properly searching around the corridors and other coat bays I was very much like 'it's ok these things happen' not wanting to make fuss (but secretly thinking you know he needs his coat)
ultimately I left with a slightly teary, coatless little boy and we walked home in the rain .

Im probably just being daft but I woke up this morning feeling really low I know a 45 quid coat is nothing to some people but it's not to us kinda thing ........

At this mornings drop off the teaching assistant (nice lady) letting them in and in a very breezy fashion says 'did it turn up' !!
Well it vanished on school grounds so its not going to be waiting at home for us 🙄
So basically they're looking.

If you have a class WhatsApp I would send a note out on that just to say has anyone picked it up by accident? If you have a photo of it that’s useful.

can I ask why you say it’s presumed stolen?

Thank you for the advice

I honestly don't think any of his class mates appeared to have the wrong coat on when they came out and most of us mum's have known each other since pre school days we would just sort out a mix up on the spot kinda thing .

My son said this morning that the big boys steal coats on the way back from the toilets and hide or kick them around the hall so that's why Im leaning towards it being 'stolen' kinda thing.

Ugh, that’s awful! My little girl’s coats and bags are kept in the classroom, but she had her lovely rain coat thrown on the floor and stamped on by the horrible kids (there’s a little gang of 4 boys that act like thugs) in her class. If that’s happening I would raise it with the head teacher and say it’s unacceptable and tell them they need to address that behaviour with the older boys.

some children aren’t great with making sure they have their stuff with them and that’s one thing, but if there’s a trend for children to proactively ruin other’s possessions that’s quite another and has to be dealt with.

Yes I agree completely, I think it really shocks younger children to have something taken or damaged at school
walking out yesterday, having to admit defeat with the coat it made think of the number of times I've heard of the year 6 lads here taking other childrens bags and lobbing them into the bins or skips for the fun of it but to the younger kids affected it's stealing their things from them, Sad.

Hello, I’ve been meaning to reply to your post all day.. I’ve not used a cleaner but always envy people that do as I would love a cleaner!! The way I would think though is don’t be embarrassed, do your research and find someone you are happy with & maybe ask they don’t use your home for their socials advertising? Also they will appreciate the work especially if they are self employed. Good luck!
Thank you! Yes thinking about it I am actually quite privileged that I can consider this an option. I didn't think about the social media angle. I will have to check the social media pages of the companies I am looking at to see what they post.
---
We have a regular cleaner. It can actually motivate you too because while they never judge, you do kind of "get ready" for them.
Just to add another opinion, you might consider a shorter time but more frequently, talk to them, tell them your expectations and they'll advise. It really is a profession and skill and they will be able to guide you.
Thank you! I am hoping it will help motivate me to sort my flat out. 😩 I get so easily overwhelmed by the endless cycle of chores.

Coat turning up or not this stealing and damaging behaviour needs to be addressed by the school. In adults it would be theft.
On top of that, if kids aren’t understanding about touching peoples property what does it say about bullying behaviour, personal space, consent etc. Not to be all PC or got OTT about it but it’s a valid issue. They basically need to be taught you dont duck about with other people or their stuff or there’re consequences.
