I thought that was the case. Thank you for that.Legally they can be there but it’s advised anyone benefiting from the will should not be present when the will is made

https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/consumer/somethings-gone-wrong-with-a-purchase/dry-cleaner/Not really sure what to do, took an expensive coat to Johnson’s, received a text that it’s ready to collect and when they got it out there was a note on the hanger to apologise as they’ve damaged it. I was expecting maybe a bit of bobbling but no they’ve completely destroyed the entire front! It’s not sold by the brand any longer and I’m pretty gutted, I really loved it. They told me that the manager is away, they took the coat back and said to come back next week to discuss, in the meantime I need to try and locate the receipt (there’s no way I still have it although it might be on a bank statement)
What do I do? I’m worried about leaving it there for a week and it gets lost altogether. I’m worried they won’t reimburse the full amount. I’m worried about it all and don’t know what to ask or say or do in the meantime! Has anyone else been through this? Do I contact head office or wait?
They didn’t give me a physical receipt, I asked for one but they said I would receive a code by text for collection instead. With hindsight, I think I’ve been a little silly.https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/consumer/somethings-gone-wrong-with-a-purchase/dry-cleaner/
It says here they only have to pay the value as it would be now. Can you find any on eBay or Vinted? If it goes missing completely they would still be liable though assuming you have the receipt that you left it there.
Always depends what’s going into it. General waste, building materials, plasterboard etc?How much would you expect to pay for a 4 yard skip? I’ve had a quote but going to get more![]()
£200-£250 probably. You can't put plasterboard in skips, it's classed as hazardous but tips now have to take it for free. How much would you expect to pay for a 4 yard skip? I’ve had a quote but going to get more![]()
Boob or bustDoes anyone know any websites you can input your sizes and it’ll tell you what bra size you are? I’ve been wearing the same size since I had my son 8 years ago and I’m sure it’s wrongI’ve not fully measured myself in years but I jeep getting bad back and I’m sure it’s because I’m wearing the wrong bra size
Amazing. Thank you!!Boob or bust
You can get skips specifically for plasterboard.£200-£250 probably. You can't put plasterboard in skips, it's classed as hazardous but tips now have to take it for free.
I’ve never been asked what I’m going to put in itAlways depends what’s going into it. General waste, building materials, plasterboard etc?
They’re probably quoting on general domestic waste then. If it’s, say, garden waste, let them know.I’ve never been asked what I’m going to put in it
I do Wills at work and we always ask beneficiaries to stay out the room whilst we take instructions on the Will, just so we can be sure there's no undue influence. We ask them to wait in reception whilst we take instructions. If the person wants us to we'll then call the beneficiary in and go over what's been discussed, but only if the person making the Will asks us to. Otherwise we ask that they're not present at the interview.Does anyone know if a beneficiary of a will, is allowed to be in the presence of a person, whislt they are making the will?

Is there a phone number you could call? And just say sorry for calling but you were a little worried Incase the email didn’t get to them as you didn’t receive an acknowledgement from them. You’d appreciate if they could let you know if they got your request and how long roughly it’ll take as you have a deadline to meet?I need an important document to send off. I have emailed on Monday and had zero response back... I’ve not even had an acknowledgement or I will get back to you? What do I do? Should I copy the original email again and ask again or should I wait out a bit longer (maybe it’s being looked into and until they get an answer I’ll get a response?). I hate stuff like this as 1). I need this information to proceed by a certain deadline 2). I’m overthinking have I stepped out of line or gone to the wrong person in the first instance which would be embarrassing 3). It just feels a bit rude to not even say I don’t know but I’ll find out - like zero response is a bit rude?
Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!
I feel like I’ve done something wrong in asking...
I appreciate this doesn’t make any sense but what would be your next move? Wait, email again or try and ask someone else tagging in the original email? Thoughts?
