What do you do when there's nothing actually wrong in your life, but you just feel miserable and stale all the time? I'm a single mum so not like I can do things outside the home much when I've got her (obviously we do child focused activities and days out) all the things I see on insta are like "go for a walk, see friends, go to the pub" etc but I can't 🙇🏽‍♀️ all my friends are too busy with their partners and I can't leave my child at home on their own

I will say though that I love the range of Nespresso pods. Something for all tastes - and even the decaff ones are good. I spend far too much money on coffee but it's still way cheaper than takeaway ones.
I love the selection of Nespresso pods!
Do you have any favourites? I love trying new ones.

This is completely random but I really need some advice because I am stressed!!!
I went to the doctors last night due to extreme bloating. They did a routine pregnancy test which always comes back clear. The doctor came back and said “there’s a very very faint line. Very faint but definitely there” Believe me when I said I PANICKED. She made me do another and it was clear.

I did a home test last night and this morning. Both negative.
So, am I definitely not pregnant? Why did the first one come back with a faint line? Am I stressing over nothing 🥲🥲

maybe an evap line? Did you physically see the test? Which test brand did you use at home?

Sounds like an evaporation line I’ve had them before nothing to worry about. If you’re really worried do a digital one as that’ll be most accurate and say pregnant/not pregnant rather than lines

My favourite pods are the Paris espresso, the Nocciola (hazelnut) ones, and I mainly get the Roma for everyday.

I've just ordered the pumpkin spice ones to try.

How do I please get black marks (I think it's colours running) out of a fluorescent yellow top?

There's the peanut app where you can meet other mums.
I take our toddler to pubs with beer gardens and play areas, there's a few cafes with soft play attached too which get me out of the house but aren't too boring for LO and not stuffy like regular soft play.
It really depends on budget and child's age I know but we sometimes go for dinner at places like hungry horse that don't give a crap about kids, there are a lot of kids eat free deals around too. National trust type places usually have nice cafes and big places to run around and are different to the normal mind numbing, over stimulating kids places. I've also seen some Mummy and me exercise classes advertised, you could see if there's any of those.
How old is your LO?

Nespresso is pretty good, especially if you don't want the faff, but in my eyes theres two incredibly big issues - 1. the amount of waste those bloody pod machines produce; and 2. the (child) slave labour.

Could be an evaporation line or I once got a weird result due to blood in my urine! I definitely wasn’t pregnant as I hadn’t had sex in 2 years 😂

Sounds like burnout, if possible try to see a mental health professional. They could help give you some coping mechanisms for when you feel overwhelmed and check that there's nothing else going on.

Also, and I know this comes across as such a jerk thing to say but as someone with generalized anxiety disorder I have seen it work on myself, but try to work out regularly. Even if it's a super short workout, while your girl is still in bed or napping or playing on her own. Even a little movement, ten minutes a day, can help shift the energy and release endorphins and close a stress cycle. You can do home workouts, check out Fitness Blender for guided workouts.

I know it’s not the same but there’s lots of things you can do at that age together that she’ll enjoy but are really about you. And you could definitely take her to a family friendly pub.
What are your interests?
Are there any weekend classes she can go to that she can be left at to give you an hour free when your friends are free? Horse riding, ballet/dance, gymnastics etc. Maybe look for some all day one offs like drama workshops to give you a full day.

It’s absolute rit when you’re stuck in a rut and feel unfulfilled or stuck doing things that you have zero interest in for the sake of your child. If it’s a general unhappiness and disconnect from life it could be depression, seeing a doctor might help. But if it’s simply monotony causing boredom then mixing it up to make it more your cup of tea and to give you a little time to yourself should help x

Is she a girly girl? You could do things that are self care for you but with her eg nails, spa day, mummy daughter pamper night do each others face masks and watch a movie together, afternoon tea etc

For me, a hobby I can do at home really helped. Something like knitting, painting, etc - crochet is a good easy one if you're new to any kind of crafts. Facebook groups can be lovely communities around these things too and I've met some genuine friends I ended up meeting up with. I will say, it does get easier as they get older and they get more independent. But I totally understand how you're feeling, I went through it myself.

Not really a problem but after some advice if anybody is a coffee aficionado. Btw don't judge! I've realised I spend around £700 a year!! on takeaway coffee. So am looking to buy barista style coffee machine.
Does anybody know of a shop that sells and demonstrates these machines? I'm willing to travel as I realise in the end I'll be quids in 😅
Also is there a coffee specialist, again actual shop, where they can help you find the coffee you like.
Second hand, returns I guess, but a big saving.

My brother organized an appointment at the notary to sign a tax document to close a probate.

This probate has been ongoing for more than a year and all documents listed in the list of required documents were provided.

The appointment is this afternoon and the notary has been hassling me since 10am for my ID. I’m at work and can’t provide it because I don’t carry my passport with me.

I don’t understand why this person is now hassling me every hour before the appointment for a document that should have been requested more than a year ago and never was.
