I think I may have worded my original message badly. I was just asking him to check and recalculate. I have no idea what salary he is on so otherwise would have checked myself. His flat refusal to check and to be so aggressive and not listen left me no real choice. It may even come back with the same amount or less, and you know what, that’s fine. At least we know he’ll be paying what he should.
There’s also been a fair amount of intimidation that’s being going on from his side so I absolutely feel justified in contacting the CMS.
I was never seeking more money, I just wanted him to do a check for fairness.
I am actually going back to say that I’d be happy to consider contributing to fuel but we actually do need to wait to see what the CMS suggests as the new maintenance total first. The case is ongoing and neither of us know what the amount will be. At present he is still paying me what he has all along. I hope that makes a little more sense.

How do I get my neighbours dog to stop pooing on our lawn?

Starting to get really frustrated, they’ve got a six month old pup and let them freely roam our road unsupervised. We’re rural and with all this greenery around us the dog has decided that right outside my front door is the perfect toilet, and I’ve got a special needs child who doesn’t understand the “chocolate ice cream” can’t be picked up. They’re not the kind of neighbour you can have a reasonable discussion with, but I can feel my temper fraying as it’s become a daily occurrence and it’s putting my child at risk, so I need ideas for humane deterrents please!

Can you set up a camera? I'd film it then report, it's illegal to let your dog go on private grounds an also ilegal not to pick it up

Hoping someone can explain this to me like I am 5 lol!

June was a 5 week month but my pay is the same as May which was 4 week month. I am salaried but I don't understand how I can work a whole extra week for the same money?

Your pay will be x 52 weeks / 12 months so that it stays static each month

Also May is 31 days. June is 31 days. It just depends on when you get paid.

I get paid the last Friday of the month.
In May this was 26th
In June this will be 30th

It’s 5 weeks between pay days just because of when the days fall

In July my pay day will be 28th which is 4 weeks after the June one

Hope that makes sense

Does anyone have any experience with Transport for London unpaid fares?

I took the Gatwick express from Gatwick yo Victoria and then from Westminster to Bond Street.

I was charged £22 using contactless. However, another charge of £28 appeared on my account on the same day called ‘unpaid fares’. I taped in and out. There shouldn’t be such charge, especially as the £22 fee was deducted on the same day.

How do I get this reversed? £50 seems pretty steep for such itinerary.

You should be able to contest it on the tfl website. It should only charge you max a travel card rate.

I have decided to paint my wall a darker shade of green (dark Ivy/forest green) . Can I paint over the current colour or do I paint wall white first ?

I've just done dark green over duck egg, covered well in one coat. Just a word of warning though I picked dulux forest green and it scuffs like a MF, somewhat chalky (already doing my head in). Lovely colour though!.

I’ve just had a phone call from the police my ex has done a complaint of harassment to me but I’ve not messaged in 4 weeks so would he have gone to them recently? Because if he has it’s really really odd

Hard to say, police matters aren't exactly quick at most things, it could have been a while ago an only being delt with now

Am not sure how they deal with things like this now but seems strange it was a phone call, I'd have expected either a official letter or visit than a phone call since you can't exactly prove who's on the other end

I googled the number and it said it was the police the voicemail the woman done left a different number but she was addressing me as my middle name so surely my ex would of gave them my first name. It’s just weird and out the blue like not long ago he was messaging me 🤷🏼‍♀️ i wasn’t/not planning on messaging him anyway but just something about it screams dodgey too me

Apologies in advance if there is a thread regarding child maintenance.
The father to my 6 year old son and I had a private agreement drawn up 2.5 years ago. Recently, due to my mortgage likely going up by about £400 a month from Nov. I asked him if he would mind just recalculating the amount we agreed. He currently pays me just over £200 a month but has our son 3 nights a week. I only asked him to recalculate and did not mention an amount. He immediately went ballistic and started asking for an itemised list of what I spend on our son every month. Any way to cut a long story short I decided to make an official application through CMS. This had lead to him becoming increasingly confrontational and difficult. Whilst my application is now being processed he has now requested that I pay for the petrol for when he drops off our son. He lives 1.9 miles from me and I don’t drive.
I don’t want to agree to this but am not sure if he has any rights to ask me? What if I say no and he just refuses to drive him back to me?
Any thoughts on this greatly appreciated, thanks guys xx
He has no right to ask you. He's a bit of a twit (sorry). Please continue with your application through CSA because that's the best way forward given hos reticence to pay.

This is the third thread I've seen this on. I hope you are you OK because it's clearly stressing you out.

Yes, it may be from a few weeks ago. Forces are overwhelmed, the complaint appears relatively minor etc.

However, if you have just messaged him and not harassed him then it will be ok and you won't be charged with anything.

From what you've said it sounds like he may have complained maliciously.

Also, harrassment requires the person not to have replied to you so if you've been messaging regularly then that contact won't be considered harrassment.

I'd honestly just block him on everything an not bother to reply, at the end of the day they need evidence to be able to do anything an so long as you don't do anything then they won't have that evidence, if they look at his phone an all they can see is him sending stuff and no replies sent back then you can easily flip it an say it's the other way round

I don’t want to do anything over it, it’s really stupid end of the day he was messaging me in March 24/7 for a week having very deep conversations telling me how he thinks he was more fun before this relationship, when he wants babies etc all I did was send them to the girls family to make her aware and then sent him a message to explain why I did what I did it just seems so out the blue
