It's honestly tricky because once your past the trial stage of your job then you have rights to know why you have been let go an if they can't find one then you can fight it out

It's also the same as you can't have a temporary contract past I think 3 years, after 3 you can ask for a permanent one an they have to offer it

But to be honest now, people can fight over the stupidest of reasons an get awarded, some woman got a few thousand because she wasn't invited to a xmas night out an she took them for bullying, am sure the work place was reeeeeeal great after that

I've not done anything wrong besides the illness. Yes in the UK! I signed a permanent contract the other week.

I looked at the company website and my job is not listed on there so I assume it's that they advertised on lots of job boards and just haven't taken them down.

Hopefully that's the case, you done nothing wrong with being off sick, everyone's entitled to sick pay, hopefully they just forgot about that one website an that's why it's up, I think some sites can offer a expire date for jobs an they maybe thought that one does when it doesn't

Thanks I'll try some of those, he's neutered yes, but it was a must so his insurance covered it because he didn't mature properly so I only had to cover the excess, money is really why I can't get another, it's £200 to neuter but he's also incredibly aggressive (he will chase people around the house an bite, he also will attack my guinea pigs cage, he never goes in their cage because I know you can't have them together but he can see them through their pen) an I don't think he would take another rabbit plus I don't have the room to house another if this is the case an I'd feel like shit having to give it up, am hoping it was maybe because he wasn't happy losing his cage for his new pen despite his pen actually given him a ton more room, but I'll maybe get some play sand an try the treat thing, I've also never heard of the doll beds so I'll maybe get him one of those

Tbf he's the only one I've ever had that's been like this, I've had rabbits for years (mostly rescues) that like him couldn't be bonded due to having illness or being too aggressive to others, given the fact I get "groomed" then he seems to have a bond with me an he gets interacted with morning to night just about every day, am just a bit lost on whats the best chew toys as I've never had one this destructive before

Bless him, some just are more destructive than others no matter what you do to distract them! Just a warning with the sand, don't put any food in it as you don't want him to ingest any and make sure you brush off any excess and check his eyes nose and genital area each time so there's no irritation.
Hope he enjoys it and stops destroying everything!
Just had another thought, try some of the toys designed for babies, wilko used to sell a ring with big chunky keys on it which they love to fling and are more robust than the ones actually sold for rabbits, also stacking cups to hide treats in

Could you gift the remaining sessions to someone or sell them on? I think it's understandable to say that you're done or you fancy a change up.
If she wont allow someone else to take them, could she write you a plan to at least get something back from what you've paid?
She's been a bit dodgy tbf so you'd think she'd try to help.
ETA I agree shes messed you around and i would want my money back but it it sounds like you don't want to rock the boat hence my suggestions.

Sadly I don't actually know anyone to give/sell them to. I asked her for a plan before so at lease I could do something on the days she cancelled and she never did it!

Your tax code is down as BR. Which is usually used when your employer doesn’t know what tax code to put you on. 1257l is the most common tax code but as you have 2 jobs I’m not sure. Probably worth ringing hmrc

I went to my supervisor over the hospital stuff as I was more taken aback and shocked this woman was even aware of it. Her excuse was she was asking where I was and someone said I’m working from home due to a family member being in hospital but I’ve been in all week so made no sense. I think she was trying to save her back over it.

I keep saying back to her I’ve been to my doctors or I’m trying a new prescription to make her feel like a dickhead over it. But she seems to mainly do the comment when our attractive colleague is talking to me. Who I don’t fancy etc before anyone thinks it’s to do with that. But I’m more shocked no one’s said anything to her over it after I’ve made it obvious it’s dick behaviour. Just to reassure me it’s not just me who thinks these comments are inappropriate.

I haven’t gone to her privately over it yet. As I’ve been too wary maybe I’m taking it the wrong way or overthinking things of her behaviour to be honest. This is why I’ve posted it here before I confront her over all this the next time she says anything. an incident happened where me and others were joking and talking about something that was to do with the lady in question but weren’t aware. She pointed it out to just me saying she’s offended I apologise but she kept interrupting me and not accept my apology basically acting like a child in front of a full room of people. Which made me realise if she can be like that after one incident where I’ve actually done something wrong unintentionally then I’m fine to actually go off on one the next time she makes a comment to me

Do not engage with her outside of work talk and do not “go off on her” in the work place because it’s not appropriate and you will most probably get in trouble.
Next time she tries asking personal questions just tell her it’s none of her business but be polite.

I would also go to your supervisor/manager saying you feel the lady is being inappropriate and you only want to engage with her in a working capacity. That way you have yourself covered if she complains about you

Hi everyone,
Where do I begin, dsughter no.1 had a good job, flat etc got with this bloke, useless doesn’t work, bad history etc etc, well long story short they have been evicted from private rental, I’ve told her to come home but not with him (he’s lied, as I said above not good )
She won’t come without him, Council won’t help, she’s now living in b&b borrowing money as I and couple of family members don’t want her on street, it’s awful, I’m so sad
Sorry if this makes no sence just struggling with whole situation, she walked streets one night

Sorry this is happening as I see it there are two options:
- Don’t give her any more money. If she picks the man she can deal with the financial side herself

- let them move in (i know you don’t like him but at least you know that she is safe)

In that case I would make it a bit later and be clear it’s a dancing and drinking event.
I went to a wedding at a club and what they did was every guest got a token/voucher for one free drink and then you had like three choices. Maybe you could arrange something like that with the venue. Tell them your budget and the amount of people and it might be something like a vodka with soft drink/pint/beer

Hi all dip in and out of these threads but I am in AGONY right now and need advice. Anyone had facial virus it's like herpes... Not contracted from anyone else it seems when my immune system is shot to bits and my health is bad as it has been lately, I break out and this time it's the entire lower half of my face. Internally and externally it is sheer torturous pain. Big angry red raised lumps burning under the surface. What can I do aside from medications as can't take any. Please help, it's excruciating!

Wondering if someone can help me.
Where do I recycle old clothes/textiles that I don't want/can't use? I've got old clothes with stains (like bleach and ink etc) on them and bedding that's a bit worse for wear with stains from tan and nail varnish. They are years old anyway but they are in no state to donate/re-use.
Equally, I don't want to put them in landfill. Anyone know where I can take them?

There must be places to take it because we buy rags for work and it comes in big bundles all cut up

What's the best freebie music site to use, I used to get apple music through my phone contract but since am not paying a tenner a month to occasional listen to music for a hour or two then I need to find another one

Out Deezer, Spotify an YT (it's the only ones I know) which one is the better with limited ads, I know I'll get ads if it's free but prefer to listen to at least a few songs before being hit with one an not have them after every single song

I also can't be bothered to download from YT onto my phone lol

I know it's old school but radio! There's millions of stations out there and some of them rarely if ever have ads. There's apps on the app stores to listen to them

Drwaback is you can’t really choose the songs.

Oh and soundcloud, there's a lot of dj sets on there, I like nora enpure, she does techno sets which are awesome. But I'm sure you can find stuff that is to your taste!

Had an unexpected eye op today and been told not to carry shopping, bend down etc which is a bit difficult as a non driver so decided to have an Asda delivery which have never had before.
Done all the slot stuff and payment but have no idea what will happen when it is delivered. Is it in bags, in trays, will I have to empty it whilst the drivers is there etc. Help thanks.

Definitely no bags unless you pay for them but they will definitely help you if you explain the situation. They came to do ours the other day and I had a chest infection (nothing else wrong!) and they were super helpful.

Thanks I'll maybe try again because tbh it really affects my mental health, am only 5ft an quite slim, I can't wear shirts, if I get the size to fit then the buttons look like they are holding on for dear life but if I get a bigger size then it looks like I've been in my mum's wardrobe, an I suffer a lot of back pain plus can't sleep on my side either

I was told I'd need to go private which I looked it up an it was coming in around £6000 which there's no way am affording it

My husband says his friend basically had to keep going back over and over. We are North east if it makes a difference. Luckily I don’t get any pain just they are a pain in the arse. I don’t think it’s fair when it does actually effect your life. Worse case I’m sure when I looked privately there was clinics who did a payment plan

This has happened to me with at least 3 washing machines over the last 10 years and I’ve always had to replace them.

I have lost some weight, but not a huge amount. Probably because I'm eating less tbh. No one mentioned thyroid so I might ask the dr.

Do you know how low your iron was? It could be worth finding out an if you can get over the counter stuff or be proscribed anything, low iron can definitely make you feel this way especially if you are also anemic, I'd ask how your vitamin d levels as well as it can cause this

Not sure about the iron levels. Maybe I need to ask the GP to check them again? Thanks for the advice about vitamin d & stress. I'm on meds for panic attacks, so it could be a combination of all those things. I hope you're feeling better now??

I put frozen avocado chunks on my pasta for work but ended up off work ill so I froze the portions of pasta with the avocado on it. It says on the packet “once thawed do not re-freeze” but it’s just avocado and will be cooked with the pasta in the microwave. Will it be okay?

Yeah, it should be fine. I didn't know you could get frozen avocado! I'm going to give it a try as have found avocados a bit hit and miss recently. They seem to go off quicker that they used to.

I have yet to receive an Ali express shipment since my address got cut off by accident while using the autofill feature on my phone, but the best prices I’m finding are on their site — better than Walmart and better than Amazon.* I’m impatient to see if the products are legitimate.

*Before anyone comes for me, I have no qualms paying $3 to aliexpress for miscellaneous things that I need when sellers over here are not adding any value to the experience and simply marking the same items up

I've been ill for the past couple of weeks and it's scaring me. I had a blood test about 2 months ago and nothing was wrong except low iron. Would long Covid show up on a blood test? I've been feeling increased tiredness since having Covid in January.

Right now I feel drugged more than tired - you know that feeling where your eyes are closing? I can sleep for 12+ hours and am still unable to function during the day. I'm dizzy and my legs feel shaky when I walk across the room. I haven't washed my hair for about 2 weeks! I can't cook anything. I feel out of it & have brain fog. Have also been feeling sick in the evenings for some reason. I thought it might be PMS but it seems a bit extreme for PMS. I have no other symptoms of a virus. I don't want to bother the GP again after nothing showed on the blood test, but I can't think what these symptoms might be?

Do you have anemia?

And sorry, I know nothing about long Covid. Hope you get better
