This is what I don’t get? Like I believe the caloric deficit thing. It’s science and it’s proven but why do macros matter?

So, I’m vegan , I literally live of fruit and veggies and quinoa rice etc and although I get plenty of protein through nuts, tofu and legumes I’d say my macros are around 20 large/50 carbs/30 protein. I’m only 115 pounds but I’m trying to get to 100 (pre baby weight) I am steadily loosing 2 pounds a week just by being in a caloric deficit. My hubby who was 18 stone has lost 1.5 stone in 5 weeks doing the same thing!
There is no scientific evidence that you need to up your protein to lose weight! Unless your body building and wanting to really shred down and get rid of any “water weight” you don’t need to eat predominantly high protein foods .
Plant based here too - and the only way to stick to these diets like Team RH is via lots of processed shakes and products

" learning the troll a lesson" ha ha , how thick!!
It’s embarrassing isn’t it? He’ll just brag about how he doesn’t need good grammar though to “smash it” no, but an education would go a long way in stopping him treating people like tit.

I wish I’d never signed up. Honestly it was working for me and if it hadn’t been for covid I probably would have been okay.
However I was made redundant last April (they didn’t care) i then had covid in may/June and was unwell for quite a while so I lost all my fitness. Again they didn’t care.
I had to pay for 7 months when I couldn't even use it. It was total grief to cancel (how many times does it need explaining).
If they had decent customer service I probably would have gone back to it. I won’t ever sign up to something so long ever again. Disappointing as I am now fatter than ever. Again.

My best friend has just signed up, she's very headstrong so there's no telling her that he's a sh*thead but I do worry about her. She already has mental illness and I don't want him to make her worse.

I can’t believe he is a fitness coach, he helps people lose weight, yet is making derogatory remarks 🥴.

I am SO glad I came across this thread, I thought I was the only one who hadn't been brainwashed by this fool.

I joined RH around may 2018, as a 19 year old uni student, as I thought Richie was talking sense because I hadn't seen any other slimming group mention calorie deficits before. However, once I joined (this was before the app) I was recommended I think 1600 kcals a day, 15k steps with 130g protein. This was peak exam season for me, and I was struggling to hit 10k let alone 15.

On top of this, I was 19 years old, wanting to go out and drink with mates etc. Instead of encouragement from his page, his posts were always "Youre killing yourself going out with your friends on the sesh every weekend" "Make some sacrifices you've been large for too long" "Cut off friends that don't understand you're losing weight". Honestly these words are disgusting especially as I was so impressionable and desperate to lose weight at the time, I was barely over 12 stone and to imply I was killing myself by going out drinking guilted me so much.

Also the protein intake they give you is absolutely ludicrous, I was eating meat 3 times a day, eggs once or twice a day, there were still nights I was cooking turkey breasts at 1am to try and get my protein intake to 130g. HOW can they promote this as a viable and sustainable long term plan?

I gave up after probably less than a month as I wasn't seeing any difference and it was taking an extreme toll on my life. Fast forward to now I've graduated with a degree in food science and nutrition, I'm probably ten times more educated on the topic than he is and I am losing weight in a truly sustainable way.

This guy is absolutely deranged, how he motivates his clients is disgusting, he encourages people to cut off every single person that doesn't believe in his bull. He preaches how culty clubs like SW/WW are but honestly his minions are ten times worse. Just because he has sacrificed his entire life to be fit and eat a stone of protein every day he believes the rest of us should too. I struggled to follow his plan as a student, I can't imagine how impossible it is to follow as a mum/dad with a 9-5. He is so manipulative over his following and claims to help people who are traumatised from SW/WW, there's no way that telling people they're lazy and not taking weight loss seriously if they don't manage to do 15k steps every day and eat an insane amount of protein is repairing anyone's relationship with food, in fact he's probably making these vulnerable people worse.

Sorry for the rant lol I'm just so glad to finally find people that see him for what he truly is!!

Its all about the controlling aspect again! Cutting people off from you, exactly what hes doing to Rachael funny enough?
He is a lunatic!
He thinks that life revolves around having the perfect body while sacrificing friends, family , no fun at all!! I would much rather be overweight to be honest!

I joined after seeing him have a go at someone for large shaming in a gym.
Then on one of his lives he was large shaming calling people weapons and big fan flaps etc.
He's just as bad as the guy in the gym

For all Richie knows that guy could have been a sole earner with kids to feed / rent to pay. Actual trolling is horrible and I know far too well about being bullied but if it was so bad that it was in dangerous territory then he could have gone to the police and filed a report. If I had a partner who went behind my back to someone's employer because of a message about me I'd be fuming and would be rethinking the relationship.

Also that post about not drinking pop - he posted this on the 15th...
