Well said as always!
Imagine employing a mortgage advisor and their advice was for you to (to quote a Richie special) "stop fingering your arsehole and stop being a lazy bastard"... if he wants to be taken seriously by people and throw legal threats and contracts around, he needs to sort his shit out himself. Pretty sure I'd have been sacked if I spoke to a client who was paying my company for my services... and told them they're talking a load of bollocks. I think people have every right to cancel if they feel threatened or upset by him!!

Exactly, it’s not as though anyone is getting a particularly decent or professional service - his manner and language are disgusting, most queries are answered by unqualified “coaches”, Richie and Rachael aren’t qualified in nutrition, the app is rubbish and the calorie clubs (where people actually got a little bit of support) were stopped so he could control everything. Therefore I would say it’s totally fair that people cancel because the service is not what was promised! And yes people sign up to a contract but if he’s such a good guy and not in it for the money then why not let people cancel without crazy fines?

Still don’t see it. You buy something that says 12 months contract then you are committing to that for 12 months. You can’t act butthurt when debt collectors come.

I signed up before the ridiculous t&cs came in

If you sign up to something and you do not receive the service that you have signed up for, THEY are breaking their contract they have made with you. That gives you the right to cancel. If you were subscribed to Sky and not receiving the correct signal or channels, you can give them a chance to put it right. If they fail to do so, you can end the contract. Would you shut up and still pay if you had no response to your complaint that you were not receiving what you signed up for? Because, you know, 12 months is 12 months ... Or would you act "butthurt" and complain and tell them to get fucked?

The nature of his coaching (online) at a distance means that he cannot hold you legally to a 12 month contract. If you are not in receipt of his "content" or do not have access to his app, he cannot charge you. He can only withdraw your access to his services as it is distance selling and coaching. This is why a lot of companies such as SW etc, insist on a 3 month payment upfront, then a rolling contract. I'm pretty confident what he is doing is illegal, not to mention harsh and immoral.

If you sign up to a yearly gym membership, that gym has to take out a years insurance to cover you, you are physically present in that building, actively using the services. They pay to maintain the wear and tear on the building that you contribute to. You go in and physically sign a contract with them that is personal to you. Ashbourne Management have been taken to court in the past for dodgy gym contracts and fined. He is using a gym contract from these people, with a few tweaks. I'm pretty sure most people including myself, wouldn't dream of not paying for a legit contract they have signed up for. His quite frankly, is a load of old bollocks and he knows it. It's not just people not wanting to pay as you put it, he's given people good reason not to pay it.

I joined before the new T&C stuff applied.

While you are not wrong about the contract stuff there is another part to it' all which says the contract has to be fulfilled and in many cases it isn't and people are being abused online when they struggle.

Even SW which Richie hates has a money back guarantee if you find the system doesn't work for you,.

Given that this year many people have lost jobs and are struggling to pay their rent/mortgage and feed their families it's not surprising that some will have cancelled direct debits. All indications are that even when people talk to Richie about issues he is not helpful.

Glad my contract was just short term.

I agree you have the choice to pay up front or pay monthly. It tells you how much it will be..you pay for your calorie allowance and the info.

You also pay for access to an app which doesn't always work efficiently or effectively.

Sorry what exactly didn’t you get that you thought you were getting? It’s laid out on his social media plain as day he’s a jackass with no compassion yet people still buy from him then have the cheek to complain.

Doesn’t matter how many long replies sent it’s wrong and you’re responsible for the contracts you enter into as an adult

You obviously didn't read what I wrote. You do not get the service you are led to believe that you are signing up for. I followed them from the start and have seen the change within them, becoming what they said they were not, more and more greedy, less hands on and passing the buck. If there is a problem, they are somewhat unhelpful and give the same generic response, with often wrong medical information. They also blame the customer and accuse them of not tracking correctly. That is not helpful coaching. It's not helpful for their minions and fans to tear people down on the page either. I could go on with many other examples, but as you're not a fan of "long replies" I won't bother

If you think it's all fair and square then that's fine, whatever. I don't. Many other people do not think it's fair either. Let's hope as an adult you never encounter a fraudulent contract you're not happy with or can't pay your bills eh!

Again I’ll ask what exactly that they lay out at part of sign up did you not get?

There’s nothing illegal about what they’re doing. The terms and conditions are there to see. They’re doing nothing wrong and you need to pay

You're confident are you that they are following these guidelines within their contract? Are you a member? Have you been a member? As someone else pointed out, the app doesn't work properly. This gives you grounds to cancel if you wish as you are not receiving what you are paying for. Plus other complex reasons I can't be arsed with. It's not black and white as you seem to think.

I've looked at this previously, what you've just googled.

In MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE OF THEM when they started randomly sending me bills for random amounts, I asked them to provide evidence of why they were charging me this and how they worked it out. Pretty sure that wasn't in my contract.

Not sure why you're getting all "can't pay take it away on me" as I never did cancel, the debit is still live on my account they're welcome to take the correct amount any time they like I'm speaking for the poor bastards who are being bullied by them.

I have also asked them to send me my legal contract I signed up to in the past and they did not have one for me. They did not send me one either. As I stated in a previous post, they CHANGED their terms and conditions after I was a member, I think it was edited in March. Can't remember exactly I don't look at their page or follow the arseholes anymore. All I will say is that I contacted citizens advice and they were very interested. Due to the last lockdown it was put on the back-burner, need to pick this back up again.

I'm sure that Ritchie finger my bum will be delighted you're championing his cause.

I see he’s now a Covid expert as well...
He needs to learn respect for human beings, rather than treating people like crap and then pretending it is because he cares or blaming ADHD (very convenient thing to blame it on as can't question mental health, it is a loophole for him in my opinion)

The only condition he has is cunt-it-is

Exactly. His mental health isn't any more important than the mental health of others. By all accounts he's harmed a lot of people mentally with his behaviour! He is still accountable for that. It doesn't surprise me he has ADHD (has he been diagnosed? I don't follow him anymore) his behaviour is just manic constantly. He'll end up having a heart attack the way he carries on.
