I keep reading (some) spoilers. Some I just skim with my eyes and only certain words stick. Honestly I’m tripping all day and I think i would be better off just listening but I might has well stick to it. A little over 12 hours now. I keep seeing 175k illegal downloads of the leaks but honestly, did someone pull that number out of their a? How can illegal downloads be tracked and recorded like that? They would all come from different sources and different platforms, I struggle to believe that’s a real number? Or am I missing something?

having listened before reading the prologue, i'd recommend reading that first. puts a lot of the 'wtf taylor??' bits into context

Listening to midnights again with snippets of the spoilers I read I'm convinced midnights is the Joe breakup album and the relationship had been dying off for a long time and not what they both wanted but were possibly just stuck in their ways coexisting.
Someone said that they were convinced that Midnights was a break up album a few months back just after I found the thread here. That blew my mind and the more I listened the more I believed it. And now 100% convinced it was.
All speculation as I’ve not listened to the album but I honestly think he ended it because it was too much for them both with the fans reaction. And I think they have history much further back.
