With them capping the training hours to 8 hours max a day now she will have plenty of time to get home and spend some time with him and put him to bed. I know they used to do ridiculous hours a few years back but it’s not the case anymore.plus she’s working from, what, september to december with most evenings free and can probably train in a place very close to her home?!
saying that her baby will be calling the “nanny” mum is nothing but a weird way to guilt trip her about wanting to return to a job she obviously loves. come on now

Not a fan of Dianne but it is wild still seeing people saying she should take time off after having a baby in the year 2026. We won’t know how she is doing physically or mentally but as long as she feels good in herself and recovered enough in both areas then there is no reason why she can’t come back. Like others have said the male pros wouldn’t be questioned this way.
I’m no fan of Diane in general, but it’s her decision when and if she returns to work 
the baby will be loved and cared for, so I’ve no idea why folks are wading in on giving their opinions on her maternity leave plans. Back when I had my kids, maternity leave was 18 weeks paid. If you wanted more leave it was unpaid. I didn’t have the luxury to take unpaid leave so went back to work when my daughter was 12 weeks old, and she turned out perfectly fine.We have a fabulous relationship and she suffered no ill effects from having a working Mum

not quite sure how a male pro would be affected?! I always think of the first year Amy Dowden came back, I think it was with JB, she obviously felt the pressure and said she was ready but it was just way too soon and sadly she then ended up withdrawing with an injury. I just think there is a lot of pressure on the pros and Strictly have a duty of care

Recovering from cancer and going back to work 5 months after having a baby naturally is probably not really the best comparison…I understand the point but there is still quite a big physical difference between a female and male when having a baby

I'm no fan of Dianne but I've never thought for one second that she wouldn't be returning to Strictly, I personally would never judge anyone for needing to return work after three months of staying at home with a fulltime demanding little whinger ... and the newborn
When I had my first (and second) I was only entitled to three months paid maternity pay so had to go back to work and I honestly wasn't ready to be away from my baby, but others may feel differently. Dianne may not know how she will feel yet but she luckily has the money to aid her whatever she decides is right for her.

I think they start pro rehearsals mid July for the group dances, so Bowie will be 4 months ish . But it’s days and no touring so plenty of time to spend with him
And she’s very fit so I doubt her physical health is going to be a problem for herHence why I said she knows better than anyone if she is physically fit and ready to come back. Many of the female DWTS pros had babies and were back on the show 3 months later. Males despite not being impacted physically still have to leave their children at home and my point is they get nowhere near as much tit for it as women do.I understand the point but there is still quite a big physical difference between a female and male when having a baby
Tbf nobody knows what is going to happen when you have a newborn and a return to work. I very much wanted to go back to work by the time mine was 6 months, but I had a high needs baby who wouldn’t settle for anyone else and postnatal depression that presented about four months in. It’s not always that clear cut.
And I am guessing they could do the group dances without her, if needs be. I have no strong feelings about the lass one way or the other. But as long as she feels well enough, I don't see any reason why she shouldn't be back.
Also to suggest she should step aside to let other people have a go.

What is mid fifties about saying I know what it is like to have to go back to work for financial reasons without very much support and with child care so expensive. To have the luxury to choose. What world do you live in that says this isn't the case now for lots of woman. She can do what she wants and whatever fulfils her of course. But she has choice. Some don't. I am a she by the way.
I can't speak for the person who replied but the 'Does she want her child to call a nanny mamma' comment is very outdated IMO.
Diane can choose to do whatever she wants. What the rest of us did or didn't do or did or didn't feel is irrelevant.
Remember when Gorka left Gemma at home for three months when Mia was a year old as he bubbled with Maisie for Strictly?
