Yeah, not sure why people think Shirley is gonna leave. She seems to be involved in that "looking for a new pro" show for DWTS, but that's being filmed around now. Isn't she also looking after her mom in the UK? I imagine she's staying put whilst she's still there, then maybe she might go to the States to be close to her sons (& possibly switch to judging on DWTS if they want her).
Some people read the news of the "looking for a new pro" being filmed in Australia and conflated it with the DWTS, its not happening at the same time is it Some said she could be like Len and Bruno and fly back and forth. Not really realistic when you have responsibilities like her mum. I haven't liked her judging to be fair recently, in particular as regarded Lewis. But no one can deny she knows what she is talking about. And her dancing with Vito on the tour shows her class.

I wouldn’t be surprised at all if coke is going round backstage, it’s rife in the entertainment industry. But I think it’s just as likely that whoever leaked that story (wonder who that could be?) was also on it.

Looks like it’s confirmed with Michelle
Aw this is a nice interaction with the pap. I think it's terrible that they've left such a lovely and talented dancer on the bench then binned her without giving her a proper chance. If someone is being brought in as a benched/standby pro that should be agreed as part of their contract so they at least know what they're getting into.

Great opportunity for some young British dancers to get on the TV, and make some money. There are some great talents around .. just hope the BBC don’t just base it on who has the biggest SM following.

They're actually pretty good at not going for the 'obvious' picks.

I saw on DS someone speculate D'Angelo Castro from the DWTS troupe is possibly going to be a new addition, as he was randomly in the UK for a few days earlier this month.

That makes sense. You're going to get more work if you're seen as pro active at using social media to boost your profile.
I can't say I agree with this to be honest. I don't like it with DWTS either where the whole process seems to be 'let's make a TikTok every two minutes'. It distracts from the show rather than enhances it and feels WAY too forced. Strictly is its own show with its own individuality. Yes, DWTS shares the basic format but that's very much geared towards an American audience. Us Brits are a lot more cynical and can see through bull a lot. I mean DWTS fans complain when their favourite contestant 'only' gets an 8... wtf? I hope we don't end up with that style of scoring.

And lol at the article mentioning Luba not being on TikTok- how would that meeting have gone? 😂 "We're giving you the sack for not wanting your life to revolve around TikTok'..

But also, Strictly DOES have a prominent young audience already (even if the pensioner audience make up the majority)- look at the tours or stage door settings- and lots of kids, teens, people in their early 20s etc or ook at the fandom with stan accounts etc- again it's teens and people in their early 20s... and yeah whilst they've cast to appeal to youth a couple of times with the likes of Joe and George, and both got to the final- neither of them won the show- because social media followers don't necessarily always translate to votes. Also Nancy doesn't have all that many followers and she's still sticking around albeit supposedly benched. Julian and Carlos too- but I suppose Carlos won the show and Julian is the dance-off king in his first series lol

And in general, Instagram seems to be where most Strictly fans follow their favourite pros- the numbers on TikTok for all of them are pretty minute in comparison. We don't want Strictly to start feeling like a BBC3/ITV2 show...

He’s close with Janette and Aljaz as his dad i believe was Janette’s coach and was on Janette and Aljazs tour in 2022. I could see it happening
