I can't wait to read Nadiyas goodbye and then all passive aggressive behaviour after. She'll most likely have ai writing it.

There’s no need for it to take a year off; there were similarly seismic changes in 2010 and they were able to put one of the best series out.

They need to really try and get a starry lineup this time.
Paying fewer celebs a bit more money is probably the best thing they can do, to get a higher quality line up.

They can keep the same number of weeks by explicitly having non-elimination weeks. Doing partner swap week etc. So they don't lose any hours in the schedule.

Why has only Karen’s exit been made official though? I haven’t seen BBC do any other goodbye posts.

Maybe it's cos of Karen's longevity and the fact she hasn't kicked off about it.

Remember Simon Rimmer posted about it on insta? I wonder if they just decided to confirm since once he posted about it, there was no real denying it.

I just don’t really get why they’re dragging their heels with the other pros getting the boot if the news has already been leaked.

Them kicking off won’t make a difference surely, as the news has to be out at some point.

Maybe they’re anticipating a pro potentially wanting to leave in case they have to grovel and ask one they kicked back?

Looking at comments on Karen's and Strictly's post, a lot of people bought that it was her choice to leave because she said it was, but if the rest of them come out with similar statements, especially Michelle, who we can tell from dropping out of pro tour isn't happy, then it will be obvious that it's all balls 🤷‍♀️

Its like when they axed people on Hollyoaks, everyone did the it was my choice. Then the actress who played Cindy admitted she'd been axed but given opportunity to say she decided to leave.

It's like when someone gets the boot in ordinary work world. 'Leaving to pursue other interests'. 😉

I imagine they've likely agreed with the leaving pros to do those "I've decided to leave / They've been amazing on the show for the last X years" type of posts together. But will probably spread them apart a bit, so each can get their "Oh, I'm gonna miss X, it's not gonna be the same" reaction, instead of posting them all together and everyone talking about Gorka and Karen whilst barely even acknowledging Nadiya for example.

I imagine we're definitely getting similar posts soon for the rest of the leaving pros (well, not sure if they'll bother about Michelle anymore tbh), but I'd guess they'll spread them out in the next 2-3 weeks and then drop the "returning pros" announcement in April.

On your last point - I think the reason they've not already confirmed who's in or out might just be a case of not everyone having signed their contract yet with Alexis/Julian not in the UK until the Pro tour, Dianne giving birth etc etc. Not really because they're still not sure who's gonna be staying.

If they've decided to drop the rumoured 5 pros, I doubt there will be any grovelling to get them back in case someone else changes their mind. The whole point to me seems to be to both freshen up the lineup and probably fix the imbalanced gender split we had so far at the same time hense why there's lots more females leaving than males. So if one drops out later on, they'll just hire one more new pro I imagine, rather than begging one of the axed ones to come back, they've decided to not give them a contract for a reason.

Wondering about the morning live connection, currently Nadiya is doing the strictly spot. Maybe they need these to finish before they announce. I can’t see them saying ex strictly dancer **** is doing strictly fitness today.

To be fair we don’t know that that’s the reason she dropped out of tour though. For all we know there might genuinely be personal reasons and just unfortunately timed.

Ach it hit me when she got a bit teary at the end! I know people feel she's been disengaged for a long while but she's right, being the longest serving female on a show this big, in a foreign country, is a big achievement.

She's so beautiful 😍 I remember when they first announced her I thought she looked like Pocahontas, and she's just as gorgeous now.
Also Karen is the oldest female pro ever on the show… possibly worldwide?? Which is nice…it’s not that many years ago they probably would’ve pensioned the female dancers off by the time they hit 40 sadly.

And yes she’s aged very gracefully- beautiful lady. And always like how she tries to make sure her partners have a fun time. Feels like we’ve sort of watched Karen evolve as a human throughout her time on Strictly. She was really loud, brash and hyper when she first started whereas over the years, she’s become a lot more calm and chilled out. And she has a very clear role in the show if you ask me which is basically the female Anton. But with more sex appeal 😂

I can’t think of many Karen partnerships that I’d swap round to be honest. Maybe it’s just nostalgia talking but I think they’ve all had value… even her and Harry last series. It’s very easy to say “this person would have done better with so and so” but 1) ultimately I think most voters do vote for the celeb and not really for the pro, and 2) there’s no real way to prove that.

Some partnerships that have sounded great on paper have failed in reality and then others that sounded like complete mismatches on paper have been pure magic.
